Corgrunt the Half-Orc Level 10 Fighter - Update 3 - Umar Hills
@Gate70 - hey sorry to hear your gold vanished - saving for items must be rough for a wild mages- I assume wild mages have holes in their pocket...
The party headed to Umar Hills to deal with some problems there. Basically, a huge number of undead, mostly shadows and skeletal warriors had to be dealt with. The party had a lot of magical ammo, so they were well prepared it and no one died. Unsurprisingly, the two front-lining dual-wielders put out a tremendous damage output - this meant almost no spells were cast, other than heals and a few buffs on Corgrunt for the Shade Lord battle. Corgrunt has 41% of all kills - in a six man team, that seems pretty impressive.
Shadow Dragon passed for now...the team will return for it, one day...
Shade Lord couldn't cast anything due to all the elemental damage of Minsc and Corgrunt (Flail of Ages, Stonefire). Due to the Shadow Fiends in this temple, Corgrunt has been using Arbane in the off-hand so he never gets held. Minsc got held a few times, but the party always saved him in time. For once, I actually remembered that Anomen has remove paralysis spell memorized (I rarely remember my clerics have one of these memorized) and used it to help Minsc out one battle.
On our return to Immesvale, 3 rangers got mad at Yoshimo - Yoshimo ran away to the party for a bit, which then allowed a fire elemental and nymph to do their things. Once our summons suitably had the rangers' attention, Yoshimo and Nalia showed themselves and assisted with their short bows - battle took a while but was safe and victory achieved.
After reporting our success to the Immesvale mayor, the party headed to Waukeen's Promenade to visit our "bank" (a barrel by northern entrance) to put a few things in and ended our session here.
