Sad news Gate...

I was hoping to have his nice company here a bit longer...
Some news about the Avatars. We a at the *cleaning* routine before departure to the Brynnlaw. Fighting Valeria & Co we discovered a nice-looking effect while using the Agannazar's Scorcher:

Besides being funny the effect is quite useful to *reveal* the hidden foes - was immediately used vs Ketta in Guarded Compound (
10 free Potions of Invisibility. Nice!). But before going into the Compound we (
Krimlor naturally) defeated the City Gates lich: Krimlor went in under Sanctuary which was useless vs lich so he tried Pro vs Undead Scroll. Immediatelly dispelled... As the door is shut until the lich is destroyed (
SCS behaviour) Krimlor is one-on-one... Ookaay, the second scroll while lich filles the room with Stinking Cloud/Web cocktail. Krimlor's saves are good enough to ignore this and when PvMW weared off lich was demolished with Mace of Disruption.

Onto the Temple District and into the Guarded Compound. The first floor enemies were not a much threat, only Glabrezu with his Unholy Blights. I used Pro vs Magic Energy on my casters after his first use of UB and my fighters have high enough hp to survive that:

Vs second floor foes we took *divide and conquer* approach. Not very *sporty* (
I know...) and my Priest of Helm>Mage & Co dealt with them in fair fight (
after his no-reload run was over though and I could experiment freely and without fear) but I wasn't in the mood to risk for now. Koshi was *duplicated* so we were *forced* to fight him twice (
first time Nymph held him quick so easy target). Ketta landed a backstab on Grond but I and Alesia immediately hit him with Agannazar's Scorchers and next round he fell. Sion wasted his precious Time Stop to double-spook Grond in vain (
or out of desperation) and with his protections removed Cassia ripped him fast. Alesia finished Stalman and Pot blinded Maferan making him an easy target for me to finish:

Sewers Lich fell to Alesia's traps (
while Wish-ing for our protections to be removed):
The fight vs Kangaxx:
Alesia set 3 traps but only the first one hit the lich in the end. Kangaxx Wish-ed Double Length Time Stop and unlike Sion not wasted it. Somehow defining Alesia as his main threat (
spent a lot of his free time inspecting our thread here, I presume) he unloaded a lot of stuff on her (
note to self: Minor Spell Deflection doesn't protect vs Breach...*Updated my Journal*). Eventually he removed all our buffs and landed ADHW... that hurt badly when unprotected... We retreated and discussed our options. Go to the inn for rest or continue the fight unbuffed. Eventually decided that two *cheesy* battles in one session is too much for our peace of mind so buffed casters with Polymorph Self (for mustard jelly emergency) and descended back to the crypt. Meanwhile Kangaxx brought 3 Mordenkainen Swords on the battlefield but we quickly MM them. Soon his numerous PvMW weared off and we finally were able to hurt him back. As he transformed in DemiIich form I cast Spell immunity: Abjuration, took Daystar and together with Krimlor destroyed him quickly.

Our nearest goal is to make a stronghold quests until it has a long break in them (30 or so days) and onto the Brynnlaw.
