Solid work there, Corey!
BTW, you don't need x4 Lower Resistance on Firkraag. He has 65 MR and your 14th level mages will lower for 24% each, so 3 is easy enough (even not counting Pierce Magic).

Impressive stuff Golden28, the more so for a first run through of enhanced areas.
Clangor is buffeted and silenced by the red one while Valygar is running scared. Note to self, permanent protection from fear, or lock buffs in, or send a spare character in, or something.

Valygar is still running scared at the end (this was a few days ago now and I can't remember much about the fight but looks like I did some scrollback screenshots so put the text onto this screenshot). I can remember thinking Mazzy and Gesen were giving Firkraag a good going over.

(looking at current inventory reminds me the Temple District Flayers have been flayed the lazy way, buffed skeleton warriors. Clangor is offhanding Crom Faeyr, a weapon I rarely equipped but more recently utilise it for trolling).
On to the Unseeing Eye. Beholders and shadows - sounds like a job for Sir Anomen.

Clangor equips his mace and relishes some destruction, but Sir Anomen is too quick.

Anything Sir Anomen can do, Clangor can do better a pale imitation of.

Lich. What lich?

The two greater mummies survive the antics of Sir Poppem and have to be maced or furied. Clangor and Valygar have barely registered a kill in the session and Sir Anomen makes sure it stays that way to the end.

Imoen can sense the proximity of Bodhi and warns the party to be careful. Clangor suggests Imoen keeps her eyes peeled, but she's too busy tallying the pop-omoeter.
Sir Anomen.
Del. 3 fledglings. 4 vampires. Tanova. Hareishan.
Clangor
2 fledglings. Meradath. Salia.
Uh, stop. A vampire has run around and is attacking Mazzy while the poppers are elsewhere. It is killed but Mazzy has been drained to level 4. Sir Anomen restores her and Imoen suggests less attention should be paid on scores and more on survival. A final vampire refuses to pop but is cowering in a corner so Clangor maces it. The spike room guard is stunned with Celestial Fury and then popped, meaning Sir Anomen can stroll around the room before declaring it clear.
Sir Anomen and his meagre -3AC meet their undead match in Bodhi, having to break and run as the last of her vampires pop. Clangor steps into the breach but Mazzy and Gesen have taken their toll.

Valygar lands the next hit and the remaining grimwarders fall. A fledgling vampire has retreated next to the coffin of Bodhi and hits Clangor, but fails to survive the mace effect received. Clangor stakes Bodhi and retrieves the Lanthorn.
Solid work there, Corey!

Yeah I know. However, during the battle, we got wing buffeted while trying to cast lower magic resist, so I wasn't sure how many actually landed on Firkraag, thus I cast all I had to make sure.

Ruzzel the illusionist update - Bodhi (chapter 2), the Hidden
So Ruzzel decides its time to end Bodhi's guild once and for all. We had already destroyed about 1/2 of it when we recovered the mace of disruption +1. While we did a lot of buffs, we let Tank take most of the punishment in the lower level ambush - one vampire tried to attacked our buffed mages, but one volley of magic missiles from 5 mages put an end to that. Lassal was no problem for Tank.
We did a lot of stuff on Bodhi, mainly lower her magic resist, but we still had lots of spells left when she decided to give it up.
We need more cash, so we go to the Hidden base in the Temple Sewers. We gave the best stuff to tank, but he still needed to use an invulnerability potion to be safe from the illithids psionics. Tank was heavily buffed with other potions too, like haste and frost giant, as well as enraging, and also lots of potions of genius - he did good. Mages ranged a little, but mostly we just put a few cloudkills on Tank's head and let him do the rest - we did this for all 3 groups of enemies. Tank was badly damaged in the last group (Alhoon I think...) so had to use a RoR charge to keep him together, but success and no deaths.
A few miscellaneous things bought around town: 1) potions of invulnerability - might need in Underdark 2) more potions of genius, important spells we don't want to flub in Underdark, as well as needed for Illithid City 3) Glasses of Identification - Ruzzel has decent lore, but he's no bard, still lots of stuff he can't ID 4) more undead protection scrolls (in case Tank resists them) 5) Finally got level 7 spells for Ruzzel (he had two slots but knew none) - Gave him defense (Spell Turning), as well as spell sequencer - he has a ton of buffs, so this will allow us to buff faster before dangerous fights, which means the other mages' buffs won't expire so soon.
Only things left is Twisted Rune Hide-out and Planar Sphere - we will save both for Chapter 6. We reported to Linvail and have just defeated the vampire ambush in Brynnlaw. The adventure continues...
Gate70/Grond0 multiplayer attempt 80 - (update 1)
Evan, halfling shadowdancer (Grond0) & Porril, human ranger (Gate70)
After finishing off Sarevok we still had a little bit of time yesterday to make a start on the dungeon.
There was a bit of an oddity early on when Porril jumped across the screen when trying to attack a radiant mephit. As a result both he and Evan (who had been standing behind the mephit waiting to backstab) got caught in a color spray. Despite being apparently out for the count Porril undaunted sprang almost immediately to his feet and executed the mephit.
That may have been the result of the screen showing Gate70s computer for a moment, before reverting back to the action on mine. However, there was a similar sort of situation in the elemental plane when the steam mephit was dragged away from its companions. That would have been bad news for it anyway, but its chances were further reduced when it stunned Porril only for him to again recover almost immediately and take his revenge.
That suggests the possibility that there's something funny occurring with disabling attacks on the client - I'm sure we'll get further opportunities to assess what's going on there
.
The duo are about to enter the wand room, so shouldn't take long to make their exit next time.
Stats:
Evan, shadowdancer 10, 54 HPs, 14 kills
Porril, ranger 8, 95 HPs (incl. 5 from Helm), 65 kills, 0 deaths (1 in BG1)
Brat - dwarf berserker (7th and final update)
I was intending to dedicate a bit of time this morning to reactivating this RP run. Brat was last seen in Brynnlaw a couple of months ago, but unfortunately while I did find my notes of his progress the save game file itself appears to have gone to that great big dustbin in the sky. Oh well, there's always another character ...
That's unfortunate, Grond0... Personally, I have all my save files for all games I run stored in the Cloud for that particular reason...
Daelin, entering BG2 part of the challenge. This is his stat sheet:
As so far, he has exited the dungeon (took in Minsc, my faithful barbarian), teamed up with Kivan (Kivan NPC mod from G3), did circus (joined Aerie), and defeated the ugly slavers in Copper Coronet. Here Minsc got hit by spear's critical effect, it's called Leg Swipe. First it drops you down, reduces DEX by 50% and movement speed by 25%; lasting for 2 rounds. Not that it would help beastmaster any, however.
Next, Goverment, join Xan.
Talk to Delon, get Umar Hills, go to Gates. This usually avoids Suna ambush, but this time it triggered. We had no buffs and were quite unprepared, but managed to mingle through them w/o casualties.
Did small Umar Hills quests, and now to level 1 WK. Aerie's Farsight revealed nothing bar Mephits, so we charged through the front door, dismantling them.
Statues were also slain so Foebane is aquired, it is to be Daelin's main weapon for pretty much the rest of the game.
That Flesh Golem apperantly wields a hammer, since he uses "Knockback" critical effect.
(it pushes people away briefly).
Lacking a thief, I buffed Kivan with Pro Petrification, Death Ward & NPP and opened the locked chests & triggered the traps. Aerie wanted to test her chances vs Lightning trap on the chest there, she wasn't lucky enough and died. At least temple is close by.
We cleared out the area and exited w/o yet visiting level 2 of WK. Returned to the city (Graveyard district).
There we killed Pai'na but didn't explore lower tombs yet.
From there, we trigger the Harper ambush, visit Docks, get Thieves' quest for Mae'var, and get in a really nasty ambush. I think this is Questpack + SCS doing, in any case - it's very ugly. Three vampires. Luckily, Kivan saved vs their charm and we could exit the area. Xan got hit once, but other than that no harm done. I won't be traveling at night anymore.
Finished Mae'var. Edwin was also killed so I don't need to bother with Rayic. Xan charmed quite a few assassins, while Mae'var backstabed his own charmed troops to oblivion.
No problems here.
I ended the session by paying off G.Bayle 15K gold.
You look as if you are planning a quick rather than a completionist run Aasim. I prefer completionist, which probably accounts for how few runs I have completed. ![]()
Each to his own though. Wish you well.

BG1 wasn't "competionist", it never is (I don't even remember how Werewolf Island looks like!); BG2 always is however; I don't skip quests there.
I skip two battles in BG2 only - Twisted Rune and Lich in that Inn with Daystar sword.
I have never succeeded in a No-Reload. Thanx for good wishes.
That's unfortunate, Grond0... Personally, I have all my save files for all games I run stored in the Cloud for that particular reason...
I don't think that would have helped me. I give MP runs specific names, but most SP games just use quicksave. If a run gets put on hold that means I need to copy the save game to avoid the next game overwriting it. I think I didn't do that this time as the next game I started was on a different installation and by the time I went to play another game on the earlier installation I'd forgotten about the need to protect the save (I'm very good at forgetting things
).
Daelin, 2nd BG2 update
Paying off 15k left a hole in our pockets. For quick loot, first we deal with Amon&Mencar's gang. Amon died to two well placed arrows before he could do anything.
Mopping up the trash
Pooky's surprise fireball.
Succesfull dispel got rid of him.
Next, Temple Sewers gang. Aerie opened with Ice Storm while Xan did Malison.
Minsc barely survived a 3x Flame arrow sequencer
Here I was fairly careless, and Daelin got hit by Prismatic Spray. Luckily, no insta kill this time...just hefty ammounts of damage.
Gaius didn't get a 2nd go with his spells.
We mop the rest of them and kill Rakshasa while we're at it.
Now it was time to help Nalia and adopt the keep. Things were going rather smoothly through the castle. I rested before the big fight, and had Nalia memorize 3x Cloudkill. I'll drop her afterwards. Cloudkills won't kill anyone, but they'll limit Yuan-ti movements.
We buff, and release our spells to begin the battle. Hell breaks loose as poison clouds and Aerie's Ice storm fill the area.
We focus our fire on Umber Hulk, since he's annoying if he gets too close. After a short while of focused fire, he dies.
Two Yuan-tis are completely neutralized by cloudkills, and need to go around them. This buys me time to finish of Torgal easilly.
Kivan downs them both.
I adopted the keep as my own, kicked Nalia out, and did Trademeet next. Rakshasas there were dealt with by a succesfull Remove Magic from Xan, dispeling their Pro Missiles and leaving them open to Kivan's shots. They still did a nice ammount of damage via Cloudkills/Fireballs but nothing we couldn't handle.
Back to Trademeet, sell stuff, buy Inertial Barrier (for Minsc) & Displacement (Daelin), back to Alkathla to deal with slaver boat infestation,
report our success to Hendak, go to Windspear Hills, kill Rakshasa (2nd dispel check succesfull from Xan)
get lucky since only three Vampires spawned
Nearly loose Minsc vs Kaol (lots of elemental spells)
Kivan did die to Cone of Cold. Non-permanent, however.
Since fire damage seems to give me grief, it's time to do something about it. Firkraag is next. May be a bit early (level 12), but.... it shall be someone's funeral! ![]()

You and I have a good excuse for forgetting things. It is called old age.
That is, if the colour of your hair matches your icon.

Hahaha...at least you guys *have* hair. I'm like Minsc (well, not yet, but give or take few years, I will be!).
Daelin, 3rd BG2 update
Firkraag was dealt with swiftly. He could hit Daelin only on a roll of 16 and higher, all other attempts were blocked by halfling's superior armor class.
As soon as someone would get dispeled/breached, we rebuff, at the same time pressing the attack on him.
It doesn't take long for the overgrown lizard to tumble down.
Conster was actually far more annoying than Firk himself (dragons are generally very weak vs archers, even this early in the game). He gated a Cornugon, an Efreeti, and managed to cast a Prismatic Spray + Symbol of Death (oddly enough, Xan survived it). In the end, he died after his triggered PFMW wore off, we didn't have enough anti-magic to debuff him.
With that ugly dungeon done, we travel back to the city and visit Ilithid lair there. Had a pretty bloody battle vs 2nd group, 3 of 5 died.
What's important is that Aerie survived, since she can raise the dead. ![]()
Vs Alhoon, Daelin had his first really close encounter with death. 3 consecutive hits (Alhoon uses Tensers so has an apsurd THAC0 when he does it) left Daelin with a single INT point.
He retreated back to his comrades, and we killed the beast with focused fire.
Next, Umar hills dungeon. No trouble there, Thaxy was lured to waste his Remove on Xan, and then demolished quickly. He did seem to hit more often than Firkraag for some reason, even if his HP is about half Firk's size.
Shade Lord - well, the general rule is no summons; we buffed with NPP, True Seeing for Xan, Secret Word + Breach + hit hit hit, done. He never got to cast his BBoD, Finger or similar.
We reported back to major, sold most of the loot, forged Shadow Dragon scale (Firk's skin is already on Daelin) and have just opened Planar Sphere door using Valygar's body.
Corey, Aasim - you're both making nice progress.

Sigh, just lost an edit.
Clangor has tried letting Sir Anomen (North Forest) then Mazzy (Watchers Keep statues) tank, but reverted to previous approach of either Valygar or himself. Watchers Keep level two saw summons used to help Valygar in the Air room, Cerebus turning up mid battle and valiantly holding the line almost until the end. More summons kept the poison snake at range while they briefly stopped spiders in the next room until Imoen wilted them. She has been searching for traps relentlessly but a lack of patience in this room sees her trip over two of them before they show up.
The ice golem and next group of vampiric mists are brushed aside, Sarevok laughing (I love that sound effect) uncontrollably as he gains another level - only 8 more to go...
Imoen springs an ice storm trap in the next room then a frost wand trap. Patience. Once the fire giant is dead it is time to head back to the Pocket Plane.
- Foebane +5. Backpacked, no real use.
- Flail of Ages +4. Clangor's main weapon.
- Helm of the Rock. Sir Anomen tries it for a bit.
Clangor expects the Chromatic Demon could be tricky but foolishly decides too many buffs are for wimps. Sir Anomen is first to run and Valygar uses Hardiness as the focus switches to him.

Clangor belatedly realises he's attacking with his mace, having not re-equipped the flail. Ah, that's better.

Over the next few rounds the attacks come in relentlessly and Valygar only takes minor damage in return.

Cespenar assembles the Circlet of Netheril, grumbling as Clangor once again refuses to upgrade arrows, bolts or the paladins bracers.
Watchers Keep Maze is next. Imoen talks to Yakman then Sir Anomen heals him, and Tamorlin makes his escape.
I'll put my recollection down as I enter each zone, hopefully this will remind me to equip the correct gear.
East: buffs dispelled, wild magic zone.
Valygar is held by cornugons and a balor while Clangor has his magic resistance lowered, but these enemies are defeated before they can take advantage of either situation. Clangor grabs the Purifier sword and bags it - nobody can use it. Imoen levels, learning a level 9 spell and working out how to use a crossbow.
East: Tahazzar, who always fights good aligned characters. Level drain, horror, some traps and charm/domination.
Despite the plans, all does not go well.
Clangor runs until he can gulp and then starts on an easier target (after posing for the camera it hits him though).
Sarevok is held while Sir Anomen is stunned. Mazzy has joined Valygar in melee. Imoen whacks Sir Anomen with her Magi staff to free him and turns to Sarevok. Valygar is stunned by this time so Sir Anomen moves in.
Valygar falls.
Sir Anomen falls.
Imoen shouts something. Clangor can't hear over the noise, nor can Mazzy or Sarevok. She points furiously at the portal but nobody is looking. Then Clangor drags everybody towards the portal as he comes to the same conclusion. Mazzy is valiantly trying to stand over the body of Squire Valygar taking on all comers but Clangor and Sarevok lift her off her feet and into the portal.
My two heroic friends thinks Clangor.
All that priceless gear thinks Sarevok.
Imoen sinks to the floor, bags and containers bulging with her supreme efforts (power-word pause and power-word quickloot bar) having retrieved all the fallen gear.
If at first you don't die, try again.
This time Imoen is held. The two glabrezu have been killed and the succubus too, while Tahazzar is starting to feel the pain. Imoen is under attack by the Maurezhi (spelling?) so Tahazzar gets a break, more so in that Valygar is stunned again. Clangor decides to rescue Imoen first, and Valygar is dead by the time anyone can help him as the succubus turns out not to be dead, yet.
Clangor throws in a dispel as the attack resumes on Tahazzar, freeing Imoen. She responds by summoning a golem then realises she should have summoned her first planetar instead, so does that before stoneskinning. Tahazzar has fallen in the meantime and all that is left is to kill the remaining enemies without letting anyone die.

Shame - another party ventures into Keep Watching never to be seen again
