You're getting a nice range of NPCs into your run Golden - keep it going!
Gate70/Grond0 multiplayer attempt 80 - (update 2)
Evan, halfling shadowdancer (Grond0) & Porril, human ranger (Gate70)
This pair made some decent progress with BG2 today. They started by forcing their way out of the dungeon - Ulvaryl becoming a victim of a well-timed backstab.
The circus didn't detain them long on the way to report in to Gaelan Bayle. While in the Slums they sorted out the Copper Coronet, though Evan forgot to release the children before Hendak there and lost some XP as a result.
Suna Seni's gang were decimated by a potion of firebreath and handed over Arbane with no real trouble.
Officer Dirth was also in a generous mood and decided his plate armour was going to be of no further use to him.
On the way to get a necklace for Mae'Var Renfeld's ambushers were another group to not put up much of a struggle. While in that area Porril collected a new cloak from a rakshasa
and the duo opened up the Unseeing Eye - though discretion prevailed over valour and they left the beholders for later. They also downed a sea troll for Roger only to realise they had no way to kill it - fortunately a couple of arrows from a kobold commando killed near the rakshasa were soon collected and when the troll went down again, this time it stayed down.
Renfeld was returned and Porril led the assault on Prebek. After initial spells failed to disable him Evan joined in to help complete the job . As a reward they were able to loot the Harpers - gaining a Helm of Charm Protection among other things.
Next on the list for Mae'Var's tasks was Rayic Gethras. Evan went up a few times to shoot acid arrows at him from stealth before coming back down. Rayic eventually decided enough was enough and followed him - although oddly it appeared Rayic had changed his name to Biff the Understudy.
'Biff' didn't seem too capable and several spells were disrupted on the way to killing him.
After quickly doing a couple more tasks the duo invaded Mae'Var's guild. The thieves there were struggling to hit and were overcome pretty easily.
With loads of money now in hand Evan felt no need for his own guild, but passed some of the loot on to Gaelan Bayle to allow Porril to pick up a ring upgrade and the Amulet of Power.
Moving on to the Bridge District Evan picked up the berserker horn to provide a first summons. That was given an initial outing against the Rune Assassins. They should have been easy enough, but Evan mis-targeted with a missile weapon and moved close enough to one of the Assassins to get chased. That resulted in him using a potion of speed to break contact and allow Porril to deal with it, although possibly using his shadowstep special ability could have been an option there.
Also in the Bridge District the duo took on the Fallen Paladins. Porril found his AC was insufficient there and had to glug loads of healing potions to keep him going while Evan sniped around the edges. Despite the potions Porril still had to retreat a couple of times and one of those resulted in Neera activating - fortunately for him the Fallen Paladins were so interested in watching her that they forgot to keep attacking Porril during the cut-scene and they were eventually finished off.
Stats:
Evan, shadowdancer 13, 60 HPs, 77 kills
Porril, ranger 10, 113 HPs (incl. 5 from Helm), 164 kills, 0 deaths (1 in BG1)

Ruzzel the illusionist update - Spellhold, Fish City
Ruzzel and gang have made their way through Spellhold and Fish City and are just about to enter the Underdark.
While Ruzzel did buff up for the dream fight vs. Bhaal avatar, his lesser earth elemental and minor sequence of 2x magic missiles were too much for Bhaal to handle.
The rest of Spellhold was carefully negotiated without deaths. Lonk attacked us, but our dispelling arrows, darts of wounding and true sight were too much for him to handle. We had max buffs up for that, which carried over for Irenicus. We did the same, except the other added their MM minor sequencers and magic missiles vs. Irenicus - he didn't last very long, 3 rounds at most and got poisoned by darts of wounding to boot.
His assassins actually put up a better fight, but they were no match for the party either. In the 2nd level of Spellhold, Stealer did some Mislead/backstab abuse vs. Yuan-tis. Rest of Spellhold was unremarkable.
Fish City was pretty clean for the party. We used a ton of area effects if we had them such as skull traps, to good effect. The only iffy battle was Blaster got held by a ghoul, and a Sea Zombie was attacking her, and it had magic resistance. It wasn't 100% though, as MM after MM was unloaded into it and it eventually gave it up. A pro undead scroll was used for the large group of undead by the Zombie Lord. The traps near the imps were dealt with by Stealer. The rebel was killed, and the party is just about to enter the Underdark.

Condolences Gate......
Your run isn't the only one ending today. ![]()
What the hell is 'ballistic attack'?
Something like picking up an object (telepathicly I guess) and throwing it at you.
Daelin, final BG2 update
It was a bumpy road today. I had quite a bit of time to play, so much progress was made: Bodhi, Spellhold, Underdark - all done.
That's when troubles started.
First trouble were Demon Knights in Underdark (I did this after returning the eggs to Adalon).
PW:Stun held Daelin, and Aerie managed to use her Remove Paralysis in the (literally) knick of time.
They still got Xan (PW:Kill) and Minsc (Fireballs) before they died. Awful battle, and much harder with SCS than aTweaks.
Be that as it may, next we did Ilithids (no trouble) and went to harass some Beholders. Unfortunately, I have Questpack installed which modifies the area and the Equilizer part and Amulet of Spell Warding are not at the entrance, they're instead far deeper in the lair. Daelin had Mirror Shield but that doesn't stop all dangers there. I wanted to kill Hive Mother before Daelin fails a save vs Prismatic Ray or the like (she tossed Flame Arrows, Acid Arrows, Magic Missiles etc. non-stop; this is a battle worthy to use Pro Magic scroll I think), hence I ordered Minsc & Kivan to attack as well.
Minsc got hit by petrification ray and exploded.
Kivan also died, but to Death Ray and all was fine and dandy (bar Minsc); Daelin soloed the rest of the area. Next, Elementals kill Vithal. I never tought this is actually possible, but they ripped him to shreds. ![]()
Other than that, no more troubles in Underdark. We return to Alkathla, decide to do Unseeing Eye. With Mirror Shield, this was fairly easy. But...the lich there once again proved to be my demise. The ammount of 9th level spells he had was apsurd. 2x Time Stop, 3x Wail of Banshee. Kivan died to last one, failing his save.
Before I could even blink, the cursed creature releases a sequencer (I don't know which one, probably 3xSkull Trap), and Daelin dies instantly.
This reminded me of my monk, Phoe Gyi. He was also killed by a Lich very quickly, albeit to Comet.
Back to the drawing board. ![]()

Thanks! I'm making a lot of progress this week-end - read on!
Ruzzel the Illusionist and his band of orcish berserker, elven thief/mage, and 3 humage mages continues (Underdark, Twisted Rune HIde-out)
So Ruzzel and gang had many enemies in the Underdark. However, the team took them all down, most without any hiccups. There was one fight that definitely didn't go to plan and could have been much worse, read on. We did max buffs on the team, especially SI:N hoping that would negate any death rays. The battle vs. the initial beholders went OK at first. We tried to use our sequencers to speed up the kills. Spell squencers were also used to buff during the battle. One problem? I forgot what what Disabler's spell sequencer - she then proceeded to cast, web, stinking cloud and greater malison targeting the party!
Immediately two thirds of the party failed their saves, with only Ruzzel and Exploder able to continue to the fight at first. Exploder was running out of offensive spells, so used things like burning hands and Aganazer's scorcher vs. the Elder Orb. It wasn't enough - the party played a kind of musical chairs, with different people disabled/able to fight - anytime anyone woke up they used their magic missiles on the Elder Orb - this took a while but incredibly victory was achieved!
We did everything in the Underdark, except Ust Natha quests. We did buy a few things then went after Adalon (we need her blood for the flesh armor for Tank). Stealer was given the task of soloing Adalon. She couldn't do it totally - she had 100% cold resist, haste, clarity potion but it wasn't enough, Adalon managed to stun her. So Ruzzel moved up to cast some cloudkills, and Disabler used her sling - took a while but victory once more.
We hastened out way out of the Underdark. We had not much gold, so our only purchase was Balduran's Blade for Tank.
It was time to deal with the Twisted Rune once and for all. While we did a lot of buffs, I think the most important was SI:N on all the mages - this allowed Shangalar to be defeated with nothing more than 3 snares, true sight and ranged fire, without any casualty of the mages. Tank was sent into the center to distract the enemies, though he did better than that, as he quickly dealt with the thief and vampire.
The mages used sequencers/magic missiles to destroy the Beholder in one round (once targeted).
Only Layene and a Pit Fiend is left. We didn't have much in offensive spells left, so just used ranged fire - this won the day!
Now that Ruzzel has the Staff of Magi, we are ready for final area before the main quest, Planar Sphere (SotM + cloudkill wand combo). So we head to Umar Hills - we talk to the Flesh Armor quest guy and get that quest rolling. Without waiting around, we kill Valygar and open the Planar Sphere and open the door and enter. We will deal with this thing next session.

@Grond0, Gate70, Aasim - sorry to hear the end of your guys' runs!
Just a quick note - Ruzzel has taken the down the Planar Sphere, Fallen Paladins, and Bodhi (Chapter 6). We are pretty poor, so we pretty much need to head to the Underdark Exit and get the story going - that's where we are headed next session.

A quick note, Im going to do an update soon, but just to let you know, another one of my companions bit the dust
. I only have 5 more npcs to chose from 0_-.
Read about it soon.
Cheers!

Ruzzel the gnomish illusionist and his band of half-orc berserker, elven thief/mage and 3 human mages - FINAL SoA Update!
So the team battles in Suldanessar - most fights were pretty clean, but the golems were a pain. Nizi taken down mostly by ranged fire, though we did pump some magic missiles into it once its MR was brought down - success here.
Eventually it was time for the Tree of Life fight with Irenicus - I did lots of buffs, but they were for nought, as Stealer's 4 snares and 1 spike trap were enough to one-shot Irenicus...
I did the good routes in Hell. We battled the beholders guarding one of the Tears. Tank was protected by a protection from magic scroll - Exploder took the opportunity to try out some of her new spells, including sphere of chaos, incendiary cloud and delayed blast fireball - this definitely sped up the kills which Tank appreciated.
Here is the preparation for Irenicus and his demons -
the battle with the demons lasted quite a while - in my install, my celestial summons go hostile if they fight demons, so used shambling mounds for this part of the fight. Lots of various spells, especially horrid wilting made a difference, but Stealer did not survive - we resurrected her after the demons were slain.
We then refreshed our summons, and had Tank and the summons get in Irenicus' face while the party tried to remove his protections and do range fire - this part took a while too but Irenicus could not stop us...
The party all has one HLA by this point. We then prepared to battle Illsaera - we cast lots of spells (I am auto-pause spell cast by this point, as otherwise it's hard to see when people are just standing around), and the battle went very well.
We then did the 1st pocket plane challenge - I finally give scripts to the mages (auto-attack), otherwise things would be very time consuming. This worked out great. The party stands at the portal, preparing to make their first jaunt into Saradush...

Best of luck with your final hacks through ToB Golden!
Gate70/Grond0 multiplayer attempt 80 - (update 3)
Evan, halfling shadowdancer (Grond0) & Porril, human ranger (Gate70)
Porril and his friendly shadow continued to dance their way through BG2 today. They started off in a spiders' nest: Pai'Na went down there pretty easily, but Evan had a slight concern when his intended route round the web proved to be impassable - a potion of invisibility sent the spiders off in search of other prey.
They cleared the tombs and completed a few quests (including Kitthix demonstrating his party piece on Uncle Lester)
before travelling back into the city. An ambush on the way caught them still a bit worse for wear from their earlier encounters, but they still won out easily enough.
Arriving at the Bridge District they tracked down the kidnappers before going to collect a ransom.
Next up was the liches. The temple area provided a couple of PFU scrolls and they were supplemented with an oil of speed each. The combination quickly accounted for the Shade Lich, Elemental Lich and City Gates lich and the oil of speed lasted just long enough to see the back of Kangaxx as well. His demi-lich form tried to make a run for it, but Daystar proved too quick for him.
The de'Arnise Hold had a few challenges, but they were safely met. The only weapon that Evan could have used against the iron golem was Daystar, but Porril felt he would be better off using that rather than a non-proficient weapon - and his choice was justified as he cut the golem down to size.
An invulnerability potion was used to improve Porril's defences against the umber hulks - reducing his spell save to 0. Evan started to point out that to be safe it really needed to be -1 when the first umber hulk confused Porril.
Fortunately Evan was able to sneak behind it and close the door to ensure Porril wouldn't run into the rest of them and there were no further problems. TorGal hit pretty hard and Porril had to take several potions, but Evan finally managed to connect with a couple of backstabs to outpace his regeneration.
The last destination for the day was Trademeet. Kitthix was left on his own for a while with a couple of genies and did his job by being petrified in order to allow Porril a free hand in melee while Evan supported as usual with roving backstabs.
Moving on to the Druid Grove the duo have worked their way through various trolls and spiders and are currently sitting outside the Troll Mound.
Stats:
Evan, shadowdancer 14, 68 HPs (incl. 6 from ioun stone), 138 kills
Porril, ranger 11, 116 HPs (incl. 5 from Helm), 243 kills, 0 deaths (1 in BG1)

He gets 15hp for reaching level 9, and an additional 5hp for grabbing the helm of Balduran again. Good job too as he busts a trap to get poisoned while forgetting he hasn't rested. He decides to soak up the poison then carelessly steps on another trap instead of retracing his steps. At least the pause reaction was quicker than the next poison tick.

Ruzzel the illusionist - micro-update
Ruzzel and gang have defeated Gromnir are about to make their way to the Forest outside the old Temple of Bhaal. For the 1st time ever, in my dozens of runs, I am using the spell Chain Contingency. I've having loads of fun with it! We can do less buffing with this, and absolutely destroyed Gromnir and his pals thanks in a large part to this combo. My minor sequencers and spell sequencers no longer work for anyone but the main character - is this a bug in ToB vanilla?

If by "they don't work" you mean you cast them and nothing happens, then it's fairly standard (in an odd way). It sometimes happens when person which had a sequencer memorized dies and is ressurected, sometimes upon area transition; resting etc.
Iirc, casting the "empty" trigger will remove the innate button, then you can recast it; it should work.
Also, if you load up defensive spells (stoneskin and similar) you must target self. Likewise, Skull traps must by fired at close range.
If nothing of this helps you, then it's a bug; albeit one I have not yet seen.

No one has any spell or minor sequencers except the main character. When they attempt to cast either one, the spell selection screen doesn't come up (thus can't assign the sequencers to anything). I was doing this all through SoA but lost this for my mages other than Ruzzel once I hit ToB.

I think sequencers can also be upset by having dispel magic cast on you. Try ctrl+R on the characters who are currently unable to use them.

Good call Grond0 - CTRL + R did in fact fix the problem. So everytime I get dispelled I have to do CTRL + R? Is by chance something the fixpack fixes?

Great progress Corey and Golden!
Golden I'm very impressed with your run. You've already made it further in ToB than I've ever managed (in a no-reload game). SCS Ascension Sendai is superhard. I can see you go all the way now. Keep that focus, try not to play when you're getting tired.

Thanks, Blackraven! Messing around with the sequencers/contingencies (which I rarely do in my normal melee parties) is kind of fun. The mages have a lot of options. I've never cast Wish in no-reload, I plan to do that this run as well.
