@realmuzzy: Thank you
... however vanilla BG2 seems to be rather easy, especially with that party. I wonder how it will be in ToB. I hope at least the Improved Fights and Ascension will be more challenging.
I'll be hoping that it's challenging, but not too much so

Dhanya the Fighter/illusionist thief has entered Amn and found enemies at every turn. He has therefore been reluctant to join with anyone, even his friend Imoen.
However, he has been willing to help others and as a result is gaining popularity.
A genie that he helped not only gave him his sword, but also a protective cloak which helped magical resistance.
By the time he left, he was level 11 in all three classes, but it will be a long time before he levels up again!
He helped in the circus and has sold much surplus equipment.
After gaining a bit more popularity, he will have to spend gold on equipment. Since leaving the Gate, all his superb equipment has been taken and as a result, he has had to have R & R more often than we would have chosen. Nevertheless, he is now healthy again. ![]()
He rescued Anna from some thugs and killed Corhvale and his sidekick. Reputation up 1 more point. ![]()
He then visited the thieves' guild, and was delighted that the thieves did not protect their ability enhancing drugs very well. He therefore improved his Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence and Wisdom all by 1 point.
He has got to the end of the thieves' guild quests, but has rejected the chance to take over the guild as he feels uncomfortable doing the job.
Gavin has joined him and is wanting to find his daughter. At Dhanya's request, Gavin made him lawful good as he has always felt uncomfortable about some of the things that he does.
Dhanya has paid for the licence to perform magic and has splashed out on a decent staff. This means that he is short of gold once more.
Dhanya found Gavin's daughter and he has taken her to be educated at the Oghma temple.
Dhanya then agreed to help Korgan with his quest in the graveyard district. Korgan was webbed by the spiders and as there was no cleric, he
died. Dhanya tried to continue but was level drained. To Dhanya's relief, he managed to kill all the undead in that room before leaving.
He then went to the Bridge district to find a temple for restoration. He didn't have enough gold to raise Korgan however. Whilst there he solved the bridge street murders and dealt with those who were burying their victims alive. As a result he is now a "hero".
He then went to the Oghma temple. gavin rejoined the party and raised Korgan.
Then, returning to the graveyard, they found that the Book of Kaza was missing. They eventually found it on Shagbag's body on the Copper Coronet roof. Dhanya and Gavin then said goodbye to Korgan as they were concerned that his aims and theirs were not in alignment with each other. Sooner or later, they would probably have come to blows, so they decided to part amicably before that happened.

Teaming up with Gavin seems to be working well for Dhanya.
Gavin's strengths and those of Dhanya appear complementary.
Together they eliminated the slave trade in the copper coronet.
Although Gavin only has a mace +1, that doesn't matter because of his magical weapons.
When buffed, he is a formidable warrior!
However, due to lack of preparation, they ran into problems when they went to do some shopping for a better hammer or Mace at Wukeen's Promenade.
Senuki asked for help, but no negative plane protection spells had been memorised so both of them got level drained and as a result, got hurt badly, though not dangerously so.
They prevailed and immediately went to the temple for restoration as Gavin could no longer cast restoration spells. This was expensive
However, they went to see what sort of weapon they could still afford for Gavin. He got a fairly good mace.
They then joined up with Nalia as they have decided to help her.

If your character is female there is a romance.
This romance continues in BG2.
His stats are OK, but nothing spectacular.
He has character and the dialogue is both amusing and well-written.
He is not your standard hero type, anything but, but he has a nice caring personality.
If any daughter of mine were to date this sort of bloke, I would be delighted as I would know that he would look after her and not do things that he shouldn't.

Hi folks, I've taken an unscheduled trip to Afghanistan...which doesn't allow much time to play BG - although I took my laptop hoping to.
So, Gawain & party defeated Irenicus at the Tree of Life fairly easily & then had to defeat him, four demons & a fallen Deva @ the gates of hell - NOT so easily. We manged that but only by the hairs of our chinny-chin-chins & thank goodness for the Rod of Resurrection & luck in that none of my party was chunked. Oh, Mazzy was @ the Tree of Life.
Anyway, we end up in Suldanessellar & Elliseme (or whatever) has a formal thank you & we end up @ Watchers Keep. Well, everyone but my PC. He's still in Suldanessellar. I keep having him talk to Elliseme but after the sequence he's still there. I even went back & beat up the Slayer & the demons again but the same thing happened.
How can I move him to where the rest of the party is @?

At the D'Arnise stronghold, we quickly discovered that Gavin is dot as strong as we thought.
At the entrance he was attacked by three Cyclops.
It looked as though he would be able to survive as two were killed, but just before the last one died, so did Gavin.
Dhanya and Nalia were more than up to the job of clearing the trolls, but the same could not be said of the golems who were causing so much mayhem that the party ran for it. Because of their speed they were able to escape and get the flail of ages.
They went to Amn and had Gavin raised, however he has now asked not to be raised in the future if he is killed.
They returned to the stronghold and easily destroyed the incursion.
Upon returning to Amn, Saerileth asked to join the party. This was readily agreed to and they have now been asked to kill a dragon in the Umar hills. After they arrived they decided to rest after the long journey before seeking out the dragon. It was a long battle, but the result was never in doubt. It died. ![]()

Then type in:

I would copy and paste that, as just a minor typing error will mess things up.

did you hack these stats?
Or did you roll them?
These are godly
There are STR, DEX, CON, INT and WIS tomes in BG 1. But even so that means he had 5 18s to start which is still pretty amazing.
going to use frabjous reroller to get these stats
Just came across these accidentally, so thought that I should give some light on the subject.
I possibly used Frabjous re-roller. I can't remember. However, that game was before I uninstalled some mods which gave extra tomes.
The Grey Clan episode gives an extra intelligence tome.
Dark Horizons and Dark Side of the sword coast also give tomes.
However, if I remember rightly, I did once get an amazing roll without using the re-roller. This might have been the one.
In BG2 there are potions that add to stats, also from a mod though I have no idea which one.
To get these extra stats usually means defeating extra enemies.
I have now uninstalled the Grey Clan Episode and Dark Horizons as they were time consuming and also made the protagonist a bit too powerful.
If you have a dump stat, getting 18 in 5 is not that difficult. However paladins don't have a dump stat.
With a cleric/ranger, getting 5 18s is relatively easy.

Keep a record of this page for area codes:
http://www.gamefaqs....s-of-amn/cheats
There is a better page, but cannot remember the location off-hand. It was a walkthrough.
However if you google
"Area codes" "Baldur's Gate"
or
"Area codes" "Amn"
You should find what you are looking for.

After defeating the dragon in the Umar Hills, Sir Havun asked Dhanya to clear a nest of vampyres which he did.
Upon exiting the graves, we were asked to go to the burial of Nalia's father.
It couldn't have been more convenient.
They went to see Sir havun again whereupon he offered them passage on a boat to Spellhold.
The big question is how many quests should be finished first?
There is the unseeing eye, a series of quests in the Umar Hills and others besides.
(Do any of the quests have a time limit? I am wondering how long Sir Havun's offer stays open too)

So I just found the Ammo Belt in the watchers Keep. Very cool but...how do you use it?
I thought it was to be worn like a Girdle or belt but that slot doesn't light up when I list the belt. Is it simple like a Bag of Holding for arrows and bolts?
P.S. I owe a pantload of writeups. Before I left, I made all the notes but I need to transcribe them over the weekend. I've got Brynnlaw Island, Spellhold/Bohdi's Maze, the Underdark, Trademeet and Suldannessellar to finish up. I'm finally playing for the first time in two months & I can't stop. It's addicting.

Yes it is just another type of bag of holding. It also holds bullets, and even less intuitively the case of bolts and quiver of arrows also found in watcher's keep.

Bl-scs30 Update 2.15,
Bring the rain;
You know you're powerful when an ambush by Rakshasa is only amusing, anyway we purchased new plate for Viccy and assembled both the mace and a bow then wiped the floor with everything inside planar Sphere using range weapons… the wizard/ necromancer (2* Firestorm) and a single clay golem being the exceptions which made the rule.

We gave Lavok his "day in the sun", informed the knights of some sort that they are frugally buggered then blew most our remaining cash on an epic sling for Viccy which currently makes my +3 returning dart the party's shoddiest range weapon.

@USS Norway.
I realised that Dhanya was powerful when he virtually soloed the Unseeing Eye Quest.
Yes he did get hurt by the lich and cohorts, but Gavin was more than up to the job of healing him afterwards.
Saerileth and Nalia are just hangers-on who improve the story-line.

After returning to the Radiant Heart, the party decided to complete the Unseeing Eye quest. This they did, or rather Dhanya did, since the rest of the party were so much dead weight. They did however prove their worth against the second lich. (The one in the tomb.)
Upon leaving Nalia was whisked away which more or less determined what the party did next. After rescuing her they went to Lathander's Temple to report back and were immediately asked to hire Sarles. In the process they were asked to go back to the Umar Hills for two jobs. This was taken as divine guidance, and so there they went.
They met up with Krondor who attached himself to the party. Dhanya realised that he had changed dramatically since leaving Candlekeep as he was accepting people into his party who were not adding much at all other than friendship.
Clearly leadership had transformed his outlook on life. ![]()

Dyara, elven Fighter/Mage/Thief (BG2, update 15)
It has begun.
Even before Dyara left Suldanessellar, the news had already begun pouring in from everywhere... tales of armies on the move, whole towns being destroyed to get at some lone wizard, massive carnage and destruction along the entire Sword Coast. It all linked to the Bhaalspawn. They were being hunted, or hunting each other... whatever the case, wherever a child of Bhaal was, violence soon followed. And so the fear and panic had spread, with any innocent even suspected of having the taint being driven from their homes or killed outright.
Even the elven lands were not immune, and Dyara had sensed considerable relief upon her departure from the very city that she had helped save. Ellesime, at least, had offered her some advice... there was a part of the old elven woods that housed old ancestor spirits of the elves, spirits locked within giant carved faces made so long ago not even the elves remembered when they were created. It was a sacred place reserved only for royalty, but Ellesime had allowed Dyara to enter the dale and glean what wisdom she can...
But as always with these kinds of things Dyara ended up with more questions than she got answers...
Bhaal's Servant deceived, Five led down a false path;
A hidden traitor lurks in thy midst.
The Servant of Bhaal knows death and destruction,
The face of an ally, the mask of a foe.
Who is this 'Servant of Bhaal', who are the 'Five' and even more important, who is the 'traitor'? Still thinking about it Dyara felt someone approaching. Quickly Dyara made her group invisible and so the following fight started quite well...
Illasera went ethereal so everyone turned on her companions...
... giving Illasera the opportunity to shoot some nasty arrows at Dyara causing serious injuries but Xan saved the day...
Once Illasera and her group were dead Dyara found herself in hell again. Sarevok was resurrected but was not included in the party. After completing her first challenge the party left the pocket plane and arrived at the city of Saradush...
Once they had made themselves familiar with the city and its inhabitants (i.e. doing all the minor quests there) the party started to look for a way to speak to Gromnir...
The sewers had been overrun by Yaga-Shura's soldiers but the party put that to an end...
They had found another exit probably leading into the building where Gromnir was hiding but nevertheless they returned to the inn for resting. Some courtesans then attracted Dyara's attention...
The vampires were easily defeated...
... but then a much larger and more serious problem popped up...
With this last obstacle removed the way to Gromnir was clear and further cleared...
Inside Gromnir's lair the resistance grew stronger but was struck down nonetheless...
... and finally the party appeared in front of Gromnir Il-Khan who wasn't in the mood for talking however...
... and thus a fight was inevitable. The battle mage and Gromnir's pet were confused by a chaos spell, Dyara attacked Gromnir with Greater Whirlwind, Mazzy had poisoned the battle mage and tried the same with 'Karun the Black', Anomen had started casting 'Storm of Vengeance' (but got interrupted) while Korgan and Valygar fought the group at the stairs...
Gromnir became the first to die...
... and the rest followed quickly...

Bl-scs30 Update 2.16,
We still have time;
Valygar wanted a new halberd so we stagged a jail break for some actors. The Warden only needs a single 'Death Fog' to kill but I let Viccy speed him along with an extra 'Firestorm'.

We tripped over another ambush on the way to get my new shadow-armour, 2 'Firestorm', 4 traps, 'Insect Plague' and a feisty Paladin want-a-be soon put the bugger on the deck then we raised Valygar and spent the next 5 minutes looking for his missing Ranger equipment.

We returned to the docks for the assembly then asked about for more allies against Bodhi and a new trinket for Viccy before celebrating with a Lich-bash, this turned out to be a tough battle in the tight area but Valygar eventually tagged the sod and we still had time so we ended slavery in the docks… ten minutes well spent!

Bl-scs30 Update 2.17,
Anything for Love;
Tactics set in place and alliances made, I pay Bodhi a visit and she kidnapped Viccy removing my only character able to counter level drain as well as my bed mate of course… I really should have seen that coming?

I grabbed prat-boy as a replacement for Viccy (in his dreams maybe) and set to dismantling all Bodhi's expectations. Eric damaged everyone with his own fire weapon then loudly declared me an oath breaker… naturally the goody two-shoes paladin couldn't see himself as hubristic so I just shrugged and waved him off.
I probably should have run around doing harper/ side-quests before reconstituting Viccy but the idea of putting up with Anomen soon put that to rest. When I kicked him, he immediately advanced to wine about my mistreatment and promptly dispersed himself on the floor trap… so in a way he died doing what he loved best?

I returned to watchers… purchased a new crossbow for Jan and lured the statues into the front safe room to fight them without their pet swords.
p.s. The chromatic deamon managed to give a good account of himself but our weapons whittled him down.
