@Dyara: Hating to be the dumbest guy on the site, but do ''hamm07' & then 'scrlag', 'brac06' and 'belt08' go into the CLUA console?
That's what I've been trying to do but I don't know the exact command. Do you mind schooling me? :<l
I COULD use Shadow Keeper to drop the 'ingredients' & replace them w/Crom Faer but I don't want to miss out on any experience/quest points that might come w/it.
@Gate: Cespenar told me he needed those items to make me the hammer so I guess he does make SOA items.

These are the item codes... you should have 'hamm07' (that's the hammer of thunderbolt) but perhaps you don't have one of the other items. You could use shadow keeper to check if you really have the ingredients (EE Keeper displayes the item codes, I guess shadow keeper does the same?).
To get the items using the console...
CLUAConsole:CreateItem("itemcode")
IIRC it's case sensitive.
Btw you don't get any XP for making Crom Fear (perhaps Cespenar gets some
) ...

Okay, thanks Dyara. I know I have all the items, Crom Faer scroll, Girdle of Front Giant Strength, Gauntlet's of Ogre Power & the Hammer of Thunderbolts. Sounds like I will just SKr it in then since there's no Experience that goes w/it.
One last question...I assume the Gauntlet's, belt & scroll are consumed in making the Crom Faer?
Thanks for everything. CKT

You think you have all the items but it's possible that for example you have some Gauntlets of Ogre Power but they are not the ones Cespenar is looking for (their itemcode is not brac06) because for example they are added by a mod.
And yes, the four items are destroyed

Okay thanks Dyara. I checked thru SKr & don't see a girdle or gauntlets that are specifically ID'd for Crom Faer. I'm gonna just clear those items from my inverntory, i.e., the Crom Faer Scroll, the Gauntlet's of Ogre Power, the HoTBs & the Girdle of Frost Giant Strength & replace them w/Crom Faer. Hope no one considers that cheating. I think it's just a bug somewhere. CKT

I went back & plugged in the item codes to the CLUAConsole & got the dialogue again. It worked this time, go figure... & yup, out 10,000gps to show for it. :<) Thanks for helping me.
I've had about four 'close calls' in the last four adventures so my no-reload run needs all the help it can get or I'm gonna have to start all over in BG/TotSC again after almost a year playin' Gawain. Yikes.

Dyara, elven Fighter/Mage/Thief (BG2, update 20)
Mazzy had died in the previous update so it was decided that Dyara's half-brother Sarevok should take her place. Of course more than ten HLAs behind he can't be expected to replace her one-to-one but equipped with the Ravager+6 he still might become useful later. Unfortunately there's a good chance that Melissan will take him away at the Throne of Bhaal but there are two solutions to this: Dyara has to make him change his ways so he becomes good - or she has to make him fall for her (modified Sarevok romance - the unmodified Sarevok romance is not compatible with Ascension as Sarevok doesn't change his alignment). Unfortunately there isn't much time left so Dyara decided not to waste time...
As part of the Xan NPC mod the party returned to Amkethran to take out some slavers...
After a rest the party set out for Abazigal's Lair where Draconis tried to stop Dyara and her companions...
A Death Spell by Xan got them rid of the Invisible Stalkers...
... and then Dyara beat the hell out of Draconis...
... so he quickly changed into his dragon form.
A Spell Trigger (Prot. f. Magical Weapons, SI: Abjuration, Minor Spell Turning) and a Spell Sequencer (Stoneskin, Haste, Remove Magic: Dyara) made him feel save but his Remove Magic was without effect (as Dyara was protected by SI: Abjuration as well) and a 'Ruby Ray of Reversal' (not sure if Breach goes through SI:Abj. so better safe than sorry) followed by a 'Breach' (by Xan and Dyara) let his protections collapse while Dyara shrugged off Dragon Fear and Wing Buffets...
Draconis continued to attack Dyara using his acid breath and claws (neither had any effect) while Anomen, Korgan and Valygar joined a fight that didn't last much longer. Sarevok was told to watch from afar so he might learn a thing or two...
Inside the lair all the doors were sealed so travelling required diving through some water-filled tunnels. One part of the lair was infested with lots of Kou-toan...
... and while the party fought Kuo-toan, Water Elementals and a Olhydra...
... Sarevok had already cleared the rest of the dungeon on his own...
Another area of Abazigal's lair had lots of annoying floating eyeballs
... and their creator...
As a warm-up (and because Sarevok needs all the XP he can get) the group fought the three Elder Orbs...
After a rest they entered Abazigal's lair...
I had to do this fight four times... the first time Abazigal refused to die at the end and I had some difficulties to fix this using the console. To make Abazigal's scripted death more robust I've made a small change to his script... this time everything went well but unfortunately my changes had a bug and instead of Abazigal's dying speech I got the initial dialog again (sigh). And near the end of the third try the game crashed.
The party had just entered Abazigal's Lair when one of Dyara's time traps fell to the ground...
... but Dyara wasn't able to kill one of the drakes (it usually works but not this time, probably because I had Angurvadal equipped instead of Flail of Ages). It didn't really matter however. Ignoring Abazigal and Tamah for now the party concentrated on the four drakes...
... while Xan was keeping Abazigal busy...
Once the last of drakes was dead Sarevok and Anomen went after the frost salamanders while Dyara, Valygar and Koran (with Xan casting Breach while still arguing with Abazigal) attacked Tamah...
Once her combat protections were removed Tamah died quickly...
Then it was time to kill the remaining frost salamanders and go for Abazigal who quickly changed into his dragon form...
As Abazigal can now cast Imprisonment Korgan raged and Dyara and Xan casted SI: Abjuration. Once Abazigal's Improved Invisibility was dispelled Dyara was able to breach him ...
... and then he went down quickly...

Bl-scs30 Update 2.20,
For want of a sword;
Hear text as mp3,
I used my usual 2 tear spike trap trick to kill Kangaxx but he still put up a solid defence that trapped three of us before he succumbed.

This battle convinced us we needed an extra level before visiting the elf city so we did watchers 3 instead… a 'heal' snapped Yakkman back to his senses and Viccy talked Tahazzar into giving us a quest for a new hat? We killed him after collecting the reward of course.
I stepped through the second last portal the see a Demon Wraith tooling up to go time stop- melee against us… not gonna happen pal, so we turned around and stepped back into the portal.

Aesgareth challenged me to play with the Deck of Many Things, I put up experience against his scroll and got plague (a loss) so then I put up vitality against the sword getting strength (a win) then we played for the gem which he always wins… I only got silenced so Viccy cast another 'remove curse' and we rested up and cast invisible's before moving down to level 4 were we legged it as soon as the cut scene finished.

Dyara, elven Fighter/Mage/Thief (BG2, update 21)
When the party returned from Abazigal's lair Dyara had a nice chat with Cyric. In the end it was the god of murder himself who 'killed' his 'Favoreds' (but the party still got the XP). At Amkethran Dyara and her companions were greeted with hostility...
... but they were able to overwhelm Balthazar's army of mercenaries and monks without much trouble (everyone was protected by Death Ward so there wasn't much to fear anyway). Balthazar however turned out to be not like the other members of the Five. In fact he was more like Dyara as he as well had the no intention to let Bhaal rise again or become the new god of murder himself. Still the monk wasn't easily convinced to join Dyara but at last he promised to meet her at the Throne of Bhaal...
Back at her pocked plane Dyara had to fight the Ravager. For distracting the Bone Blades both Dyara and Xan summoned Magical Swords
Next Xan casted Breach on the Ravager...
... and while Bone Blades and Magical Swords were fighting each other the party started to whack down the Ravager...
... and eventually it was Sarevok who did the killing blow...
As Dyara had been a little bit nasty in her last talk with the solar she gained 25% resistance to all forms of physical damage. Now there remained just one thing... confronting Amelyssan the Blackhearted at the Throne of Bhaal... but that's left for another day...

KELDORN FINISHES OUR WORK @ THE GATES OF HELL
After defeating Irenicus @ the Tree of Life following annihilation of the monsters he allowed to take over Suldanessellar, I suddenly found myself @ the Gates to the Nine Hells. (Irenicus referred to the entire place as Hell but he was flanked by two Type VI Demons (or Balor, which @ one time was thought to be the name of the largest of only six Type VI Demons in existence) & two Type III Demons (or Glabrezu, also thought at one time to be the name of a single Type III Demon, but now accepted as the name for the entire species). Demons would never have been in the Nine Hells w/o an army of other demons accompanying them in the Blood War or they’d be slaughtered. I assume we were @ the gate to Avernus (the topmost & first layer of the Nine Hells, ruled by the Arch-Devil Bel & swarming w/every kind of devil from Lemure foot soldiers to mighty Pit Fiends. Avernus is also the home of Tiamat, also known as the Chromatic Dragon, she has five heads (Red, Blue, Green, White & Black) & has all of the combined abilities of Dragons of those colors. She is the Queen of all evil dragons; constantly spawns more evil dragons & is surrounded by her children. Allied w/Bel, her dragons fight on the side of devil kind in the Blood War.
In this place, I & my followers faced five tests in which I needed to collect five ‘tears of Bhaal’. On the first, I failed & gave in to my pride, destroying a Gold Dragon after allowing myself to be tempted by a Chasme Demon in the role of Manipulator. Gold Dragons are the nobility of the metallic Dragons, i.e., the good aligned dragons, & if there is a Paladin amongst dragons, it is the Gold Dragon. I never even tried to listen to his words, I just blindly attacked ‘a dragon’. Once I finished destroying him, I immediately felt a sense of Lawful Evil replacing my Lawful Good world view & in direct opposition to the Chaotoc nature of Bhaal’s evil.
The second test was particularly challenging b/c we are hampered w/o a true mage to break thru magical defenses. We were able to defeat an Elder Orb, two Beholders & two Gauth’s the most challenging being the Elder Orb b/c he was well protected in a sphere of magical energy. Eventually, w/the aid of Keldorn’s Dispel Magic, we were able to land a blow & then we killed the Elder Orb in no time.
The third test was a no-brainer. I was offered a ‘personal gift’ of some kind but if I took the gift I was told up front I would be sacrificing one of my companions. All I had to do was go thru the door to the Chasme’s left to ‘sacrifice’ for my companion, who turned out to be Anomen. We got the tear of Bhaal, number three of five. None of these were really easy, well except the last one b/c my worldview had been changed so oit most cases I tended to want to ‘go right when I should go left.” Keldprn & Anomen knew something was wrong & patiently guided me, despite my stubbornness.
The fourth Tear of Bhaal was really another simple test. I was given a sword by this Chasme, maybe the same one or a different one that has introduced each of the prior tests. It was a fantastic Long Sword, Auren’s specialty weapon. In her hands that sword would be lethal to my enemies. We had to traverse a lava filled pit stepping on stones that led thru the sweltering heat to a distant shore where a djinn waited. He told me that the sword would free him from his predicament, i.e. being stuck in this mini-Plegethos, the fourth layer of hell, which is known to be a place where the air ripples w/heat distortion, the lakes & rivers run w/bubbling molten lava & jets of flame spout from a million fissures in the red, hot crystalline earth. Bottom line was that I could give him the sword & he would be released or I could kill him, in which case, he would also be released, albeit dead too. Again, I say this was easy, but it wasn’t. In the back of my mind I couldn’t shake the new evil that I invited into myself when I allowed pride to drive my decision making in the first test. Now, part of me embraced the possibilities this new hierarchical, ambitious form of evil so unlike the demonic chaos that surrounds the creatures like these Chasme that act as mouthpieces for Pride, Selfishness, Fear & now Greed. Instead, my mind was tempted to accept the power that I’m offered as a child of Bhaal but the use it to put myself @ the pinnacle of a new hierarchy where I am served by those who need my power to advance themselves…but never high enough to challenge my supremacy. Any that would begin to show signs of becoming a threat would be crushed. With the power I am born to use, to embrace, combined w/the skills I’ve earned as the greatest knight in Faerun I would be invincible. Despite the warnings & fear that both Keldorn & Anomen were expressing, I still couldn’t shake this sudden thirst to become a mighty knight in service to some Arch-devil, maybe the Arch Fiend, Lady Fierna (& her father Belial). I could see myself as her mortal lover…until such time as I might achieve immortality & bring her down & replace her (& the father) as the Lord of Plegethos (although I might keep her around as my infernal lover for eternity). I gave in to the reasoning of Keldorn & Anomen who seemed to know more acutely of the change in me than did my little sister & Auren. Despite the new found curiosity @ the idea of becoming an eternal arch-fiend myself, I accepted Anomen’s advice & returned the sword to the Djinn & felt a sense of relief @ having chosen the path of ‘goodness.’
The last Tear of Bhaal was indeed easy enough. I had to defeat Sarevok‘s Wraith which was a thrilling pleasure, one that brought back the desire to embrace this new evil that competes w/my true nature. I destroyed Sarevok & his wraith spirit escaped me in a mist that disappeared into the dank air that is this place. And so I had my last Tear of Bhaal & w/it an immunity to lightly enchanted weapons (+1 or <) & normal weapons; some amount of magic resistance but somewhat less dexterity; additional protection when confronted w/poison, death, paralyzation, rods/staff/wands, petrification/polymorph; spells; dragon breath; & additional protection versus cold/heat/electricity & a bit more wisdom & charisma. With that complete all I had to do was present the Tears of Bhaal into the proper places on the door to Avernus & I’d be able to start searching beyond that door for a way out of here. And so I placed them…
Key Event: …& then materialized Irenicus again! This time flanked on each side by a Type VI Demon (Balor) and a Type III Demon (Glabrezu). I immediately sensed that all the exits had just sealed themselves. We stood unable to move as Irenicus & his summoned allies materialized & then he immediately took the form of the Slayer & surrounded himself in a magic shell. I ordered everyone to fall directly back & spread out. Spells were coming @ all of us from all directions. I was fearful that we were trapped. Evil or good it didn’t matter, action & leadership were needed now & it was now that I would know who I was...all questions would be answered when the last drop of blood fell here. Keldorn lightened our odds by destroying one, & then the other Glabrezu. He was fantastic destroying one of them w/a single sword stroke. His humility won’t allow him to boast & he gives all praise & to Torm, Unfortunately, while Keldorn helped to give us a numerical advantage, Irenicus cast Timestop during which time he summoned a Fallen Planetar & as soon as the spell was over, the Planetar’s big sword knocked Auren unconscious & took her out of the battle. We were each @ the foot of or down one of the five sets of stairs or passages that led outward from the main doorway, so commands were impossible to issue @ that time. Each one of the remaining four of us was limited to their own abilities, skills & resourcefulness. Our next break came when Anomen tried to cast Earthquake to try & damage the two remaining Type VI/Balor Demon’s & the Planetar. He did not think the spell would injure Irenicus when he cast it & he was right but it also didn’t injure any of the others but when he cast it he came in to sight of one of the Type VI/Balor Demon’s & the Demon was on him in no time. Luckily Keldorn saw the whole thing &, despite the risks moved over to aid Anomen, hugging the wall to try & prevent any other evil from spying him. Keldorn used his Dispel Magic innate ability & the demon was certainly under its affects. Keldorn seemed to have the hot sword b/c he hit the demon twice while Anomen wasn’t doing much. Anomen was taking attacks from the Balor & was bleeding pretty bad when back to back, he & Keldorn landed blows. His injuries so bad, Anomen had to step back & when he did the demon turned on Keldorn just as Keldorn landed another blow. Anomen started casting Bolt of Glory & it was timed w/another blow from Keldorn that killed the Balor. Irenicus cast another Timestop & I could hear him rattling off incantations Protection from Magical Weapons, Stoneskin, etc.. Keldorn & Anomen stayed together for strength in numbers while Imoen & I were separated by the area between our respective staircases. Eventually the Planetar disappeared so we were facing Irenicus & a Type VI Demon. I had to make something happen so I went to where Imoen was & gathered her in to try & cross over to the side where Keldorn & Anomen were. We just hugged the wall and circled around the arc to the other side but Irenicus was just beyond where I’d been able to see hidden just in the shadows. I was tired of this & decided to attack. Imoen stood back & cast Greater Malison followed by back to back Magic Missiles & then started shooting Arrows of Dispelling, which may or may not have had an effect but Irenicus’ magic shell disappeared as he moved to attack Imoen where she stood. I chased him back over to that side of center statue. Keldorn & Anomen saw what was happening & came running & I feared the other Balor would get into the fray. I landed a heavy blow as Imoen pulled out her staff to defend herself. When Keldorn got there w/Anomen they joined me & our blades continued to land until Irenicus, i.e., the Slayer crumpled to the floor. The final Balor ended up being down the stairs where Keldorn had been & we three all cornered him, including Auren b/c I’d used the Wand of Resurrection to bring her back to us. Her equipment had been between the staircase I was @ & those where Imoen was, farthest to the right facing the ‘Hell Door.’ The four of us pounded the Type VI to smithereens while Imoen cast a Domination spell or something just to see if it would take.
We had no time to take stock of anything & next I knew, I woke up in Suldanessellar surrounded by Eleven Clerics under the watchful eye of Elliseme. Apparently we were dead while @ the Gates to the Nine Hells & defeating Irenicus was the only escape or we might have been sucked into Avernus for eternity. While there, my faithful Priest Anomen, with help from his Elven counterparts was able to partially reverse my alignment & return me to Lawful Neutral. My penance is steep to return to who I was: Triple tithes next time I visit a Temple of Helm following an adventure; Double tithes the next & a full regular tithe the third time. After that my tithes can go to any Temple as long as its deity is Lawful & Good or Neural in alignment.
Some Treasure of Note: I really don’t know what we came out of from the underworld with but I had a few notes that reflected: (Purse = 16,851gp) Armor: Weapons: Jewelry/Gold: 914gps; Potions: Seven Extra Healing, five Fire Giant Strength, five Invulnerability; Scrolls: Wands: Misc & Artifacts:
Current Disposition: We have completed a mission in the Watchers Keep. Before we get going again, we’re taking a week or so & camp on the room, safe from wandering monsters. It’s an east trip down the stairs to fetch would & for Imoen to bag some game for us. All of this gives me time to journal & reflect.

Bl-scs30 Update 2.Hell,
See you in Hell;
The elf city was wondrous to gaze upon… despite the current state and we took our time doing various good deeds, such as rescuing small kiddies from up trees or smiting mighty Dragons with well-placed spike traps. All pretty standard tactics really until we got sucked down beyond the abysses to my own private hell.
My first test is selfish and Mazzy cheated the demon by quickly opening the door before the hold spell kicked in, the Jan solved the greed test by pickpocketing a Genie so that Valygar could keep his new toy… I conquered my fear without cheating by laying a carpet of clouds.
Prep {final}; Viccy summoned a fallen deva and Jan placed 5 spike traps in two sets (2 at the door which play no part in the battle but makes perfect plot sense and 3 as a fall back bastion)… Imoen loaded her 'chain contingency' with horrid wilting, death fog and pierce shield then we rested to reset the clock and repopped the fallen deva before opening fates door.
Bitter scs experience has hammered into me the need to alpha strike this battle whist keeping at least one npc is sight of the slayer at all times or the buggy scripts will simply make him invincible.
Incessant monologue then retreat to our bastion as Imoens CC with Jans spikes take out two opponents but the confusion helps us because the Slayer popped his first 'Time stop' as I'm in full retreat… effectively wasting it.
Mazzy and Valygar tag team the demons as Viccy leads the enemy Fallen deva away… Imoen pops some expendables for the slayer to play with and Jan runs off to set another bastion of traps. I added healing support, mostly to Viccy and keep well away from his 'Time stop'.
A frustrated slayer ripped apart Imoens adds then 'Time stop' charged Viccy… killing her but otherwise blowing his last trick as we polished off the peons. Mazzy and Valygar hold his until the rest of us reach Jans bastion then draw him back onto the traps. Imoen loads another Pierce shield CC to counter any protections and I considered going fire elemental after rezzing Viccy with the rod but it wasn't needed.

Nice to see that hell is proving no obstacle to our current challengers ...

(yes, but not in an expected way)
Corheal thought the Unseeing Eye was next but Strofe reminded him they were at the Planar Prison portal, waiting for Brazil. The initial assault was handled well but Brazil looked unlikely to survive an Umber Hulk infestation.
Corheal rapidly scattered the undead in the Pit of the Faithless, leaving Brazil and Strofe to tidy up any remnants.
After that, some box-ticking. Sir Sarles humiliated, Neb beheaded, Borinall parted from the Dawn ring, Lassal booted off the corpse of Mook and Gracen turned into gravy. The vampire nest was briefly explored and a mace subsequently upgraded by Cromwell.
Gate70: Strofe, Stalker 12. 576 kills (+71). Kangaxx.
Corey Russell: Corheal, Priest of Lathander 14. 191 kills (+38). TorGal.
Grond0: Brazil, Fighter 10 / Druid 12. 387 kills (+31). Shade Lich.
Retired;
DogDancing: Wewa, Thief 13. 84 kills (+5). Thaxll'ssillyia.
So that all sounds hunky-dory.
Right up until I tried to save the game and saw my save slots were empty.
I saved anyway and retrieved it from the tempsave folder to put it into the mpsave folder but when this has happened before we (Grond0 and myself) usually find the game is messed up. So our options are;
1 Return to the last good save which is, uh, the start of this session as I just overwrote the last decent auto-save without thinking.
2 Continue from the current point and see what issues arise. I had a quick look around and Lehtinen is back in the Copper Coronet for example.

Multiplayer (Quad > Trio) attempt 4 session 13, will it turn out to be unlucky?

It's this sort of situation where you really want a 'dislike' button rather than just a 'like' one

Gate70: I would say just do the session over (e.g, from before the session started). It wasn't like we were setting any speed records anyways...

Fyi I've had a mishap with my WX system which buggered my tob save so I'm parking Puk at this point to run Ormaline in bgee1 instead... if she makes it to Tob I'll allow Puk to join her party as a minion.
Good luck guys and for what its worth Gate70, I'd reroll it mate.

That's terrible, USSNorway. I'm sorry to hear that. Good luck with your new run.

Sounds like the Gremlins are out in force at the moment to protect Melissan. I hope that Dyara can avoid any technical problems as she moves forward to victory
