Understood. And to be clear, my comments weren't meant as a critique: I've enjoyed the videos as well.:)

Looking forward to the rest of your adventure Stworka.

Best,

A.

Also : Glad to see Your run back on the way! ^_^

Thanks. I hope it lasts awhile. There are some tough patches up ahead for Alora -and I do have doubts about whether she'll make it- but I hope to get an enjoyable run out of her nonetheless.

By the way Serg, I don't know what possesed you to make a band out of your party and assign instruments to everyone, but I have to admit that I find it amusing.

I think you pretty much pegged them- especially Nalia on keyboards and Mazzy on drums. Viconia on lead vocals makes a lot of sense to.

The only one I'm not buying is Imoen on guitar. I find it easier to imagine her playing a tamborine or something by the edge of the stage. Kinda there, kinda not there- maybe chatting with Valygar off stage every now and then. I'm not sure why but that just fits to my mind...

Anyhoo. Best of luck in the Underdark.

 Quick Note on Alora's Game:

Alora is now the Hero of Trademeet. She completed the quest with exactly two swings of her Staff.

This one.

I'll post a full report on Trademeet when I get the chance.

Speaking of which, does anyone listen to music while playing Baldur's Gate?
I usually put on Stars of the Lid, brilliant ambient music, makes playing BG that little bit eerie and foreboding.

Bit of a setback.

Did some random, small things, and went into the sewers to do the Unseeing Eye quest. While doing Roger's Sea Troll quest, we ran into a group of Gauths and a Beholder, which suggested that we might also run into a lich in the Ghoul Lord area - not something to look forward to. We managed to beat those with wands, while Nalia tanked their attacks in slime form, but just to be sure, I decided to recharge my rechargeables with Roger's kind assistance before going in.

After four potions of Perceptions and two of Master Thievery, Hador's pickpocketing skill was at 210, and I felt relatively comfortable about his chances - however, Roger caught him on his first damn try, and I ended up losing the Necklace of Missiles, Wand of Cloudkill, two Wands of Fire, a Wand of Monster Summoning and a Wand of Frost - never mind that I had wanted to help myself to some of Roger's potions, as well: namely, two pots of Master Thievery, and three each of the rare Magic Protection and Magic Shielding are now lost to us forever.

Fortunately, I have three mages at level 13, which under BG1-style summons gives us access to Skeleton Warriors, so the Beholder hive might still be doable. Still, if I had just drank one more potion, I'd have maxed my thieving and none of this would have happened...

Thanks :)

It was back in BG1 when I traveled in the group of four (Me, Jaheira, Khalid and Imoen), dualed Imoen into the Mage and wanted to regain her Thief's abilitied as soon as possible. And then I thought: *Hey! It's just a classic rock band, roaming all over Sword Coast and then Amn*. Their roles in a Band was quite obvious to me as well as other later joined members. Speaking of Imoen with guitar now I have to agree that it doesn't suite her personality well. She just replaced Valygar (guitar and kantele) and I hadn't placed much thought to how I can use her subtile fingers as of yet. At the moment I *see* her with some kind of string instrument. May be kantele looks more appropriate to her and I like a lot the sound of this instrument. Try *Nest*, a Finnish neofolk/ambient band, and you'll understand what I mean. //The band's inspiration comes from the old folk and animal tales, as well as from the works of Tolkien and the Grimm Brothers//. But at the same time such kind of music doesn't *mirror* her cheerful personality well...(and you are right - may be tamborine is a way to go for her).   We'll see, I have to think a bit more about that :)

@Gorthaur X

That's why I never try to steal from the important merchants in no-reload. There are more than enough money to not risk so much :)

I believe there's a 1% chance of failure regardless of your skill level... which sucks, but then you've at least learned that.

Serg, I'm always struggling for money, especially in the early game, since I've changed Gaelan Bayle's demand to 80,000 gold. Besides, spells cost a lot of money. ;(

AnonymousHero, I believe it's the "BG1-Style Summoning Spells" component from D0Tweaks, which changes the numerous summoning spells in the game into something more useful by removing the 5 summon cap and tweaking what gets summoned. Animate Dead, specifically, calls forth one skeleton or zombie per level, up to 12, after which some of the lesser undead are replaced by a skeleton warrior at level 13.

Anyway, the Unseeing Eye is dead. Next up: Gaal.

The Unseeing Eye is dead, and its cult finished.

"Apparently, you don't need to be a man to be confused by a nymph's charms. Or have eyes."

As we returned to the surface, Nalia was immediately arrested by Isaea Roenall. We gathered some evidence against him, and managed to get Nalia back in our group, though the man swore we hadn't heard the last of him. Having never played with Nalia beyond killing TorGal before, I look forward to seeing if he does - at least, provided it happens before I ditch her for Yoshimo (and then Imoen).

Also battled more Harpers. I considered letting Jaheira go, but her heartfelt protest was too much for me. Eventually, I'll have to replace either her or Korgan with Haer'Dalis, which will be a tough choice. In terms of combat, Korgan is much better, but I'm not sure I can justify having Hador kick her out after everything they've been through together...

Afterwards, Edwin managed to decipher enough of the Nether Scroll to reach level 14, which gives him access to Ruby Ray of Reversal. As we now have to head back to Athkatla anyhow to check on my thieves' guild, it might be time to begin hunting some liches.

Alora in Trademeet (Or a Sneaky Path to Heroism)

Alora recently completed the Trademeet Quest. One word describes her approach: Sneaky.

When she arrived in Trademeet, Alora spied a bit of shiny on one of the Dao. She couldn't resist.
Image IPB

In the Grove, she used her new found friend to distract the path blocking Trolls while she made a break for it.
Image IPB

An Invisibility spell cast by the Efreeti allowed Alora to safely stealth past all the ugly.
Image IPB
Image IPB

The bridge was blocked by a trio of Shambling Mounds. Alora looped around the back of the cottage to avoid them.
Image IPB

She then rendezvoused with Cernd, and let him take down Faldorn.
Image IPB

Phase 1 complete.

As for Phase 2...
Image IPB

And that was that. Sneaky.^_^

Alora is now on her way to the Umar Hills. I'll post when she arrives.

Best,

A.

@Gorthaur. I'm sorry to hear about Roger. My Bounty Hunter, Alesia, had some bad luck stealing in her last run. It did come back to haunt her in the Final Ascension fight. I hope your crew can overcome the setback.

Yeah. It's fun.

The next time I do BG1 with a party, I'd like to try a pair of Hasted characters controlling opposite ends of a Scorcher at the Bandit Camp. That could be amusing.

Alora in the Umar Hills (Or Step Softly, Carry a Striking Staff)

Alora recently completed the Umar Hills quest. She made a few missteps, but once again, her Stealth, Staff, and cunning served her well.

The first encounter wasn't well handled. Trying to go on the cheap, Alora neglected to buff her Strength. This contributed to a dud backstab that failed to eliminate it's target.
Image IPB

She ended up trapped without access to Shadows. Mr. Efreeti to the resuce. The Efreeti ran distraction and cast Invisibility. Alora snuck around back and finished the job.
Image IPB
Image IPB

Shadow Jailor.
Image IPB

And a new friend.
Image IPB

The path ahead was blocked by ugly. Alora plinked at the crew with her bow, and then whisked by once they had spread out.
Image IPB
Image IPB

When dealing with the Bone Golem, Alora made use of her new partner in crime: Ras. The Sword led the Golem astray while Alora made off with the goods.
Image IPB

Finally, the Shade Lord. Alora was running Potion of Heroism, Potion of Defense, Potion of Strength, Potion of Mindfocusing, Potion of Regeneration, and Draw on Holy Might here. Definitely could have gone cheaper.

The Shade Lord was dropped with a Backstab.
Image IPB

Shade Patrick started casting something. Alora drank a Potion of Invisibility to interrupt his spell, and then finished him off.
Image IPB

A Sunstone Bullet destroyed the Altar, and the light returned.
Image IPB
Image IPB

That's that. :)

Alora plans to do some shopping in Athkatla. She'll be heading to the De'Arnise Keep after that..

A.

Alora at the De'Arnise Keep (Or Kicking Troll, Taking Names)

Alora has completed The Keep quest. it went smoothly on balance though see did get a scare when she became obssesed with finishing Torgal. Here's what happened.

Alora's troll killing method was simple but effective: Backstab -> Arrow of Fire.
Image IPB
Image IPB

Her Yuan-Ti Mage killing method was simpler still: Backstab.
Image IPB

Torgal would require a little more thought.

The Plan: Buff with Potion of Strength, Potion of Mind Focusing, Potion of Defense, Potion of Heroism, Potion of Regeneration, Oil of Speed, and Draw on Holy Might. Keep Mazzy's Sword at the ready to block Slow, keep Potions of Strength at the ready to counter Strength Drain.

Hit the Shadows, Summon Ras, and then confront Torgal. Send Ras forward to draw Torgal's attention, slip behind him and Backstab. Finish him with a Potion of Firebreath, then circle around his buddies to thin their ranks. If necessary, use a second Potion of Firebreath. Once the numbers are manageable, Summon the Efreeti to assist with cleanup.

Execution: Everything went according to plan here: more or less. Alora was a bit too focused on finishing Torgal when he was down and took a few wallops. Fortunately, she withdrew in time and was able to heal herself before returning to the fray.

Here we see the approach.
Image IPB

Then the attempted Backstab. No luck: Torgal pivoted in time to foil it. This happened twice and led to the consumption of 2 Potions of Invisibility.
Image IPB

Then...Gotcha!
Image IPB

Eager to end Torgal as planned, Alora hovered with her Potion of Firebreath in hand. She took a savage beating while waiting for the effect to kick in. Retreat!
Image IPB

Back in.
Image IPB

And then the circle.
Image IPB

Potion of Firebreath 2.
Image IPB

Time for the Efreeti.
Image IPB

Last two trolls. Good bit of team work here between Alora and her Efreeti.

The Efreeti was Near Death. Alora pulled back to finish a Troll with her Arrows of Fire. Simultaneously, the Efreeti cast Invisibility on himself.
Image IPB

Alora fired her Arrow, finished the Giant Troll, and then broke for the Efreeti's position while his Aura cleared.
Image IPB

Upon arrival, the Efreeti cast Invisibility on Alora- revealling himself and exposing the Trolls back to Alora. The Efreeti stayed just out of reach.
Image IPB

Endgame.
Image IPB
Image IPB

Fin!

Best,

A.

You're zipping through the game at speed here with encounters I'd expect to see later. I've not solo'd SOA before so am guessing the XP adds up very quickly, hopefully will find out shortly.

Question if I may; no shadow dragon. Is that because you're not interested in the loot or too tough a fight at this point (I can't remember if a thief can use the armour for example, or if it has a strength requirement).

Simple. At this point, the cost is high and the reward is small(*).
Later, the cost will be lower and the reward will be the same. She'll take care of Niz then. :)

Good luck with Stoht!

Best,

A.

* So you know, I wish I had followed that maxim when confronted by the De'Arnise Keep Golems. I had Alora take them down (with the wrong gear on hand) for some inexplicable reason. It ended up putting a big dent in the potion collection. It'll take her a while to recover from that debacle...

Stoht, CG halfling male bounty hunter.

Gaelan Bayle has a deal for me but I require cash. Brus suggests I seek work at the Copper Coronet and I start by helping an enslaved gladiator called Hendak. First is a winter wolf.
Image IPB

Next, a series of snares and a backstab to the beastmaster.
Image IPB

I use DUHM to backstab a leopard and bear, then backstab another bear and a minotaur. I backstab my way to the front-room to watch Hendak dispose of Lehtinan. Then I sell some junk and purchase the Blade of Roses.

More slavers for Hendak. I approach from the sewers, dealing with jellies, an otyugh, hobgoblins, myconids, kobolds and a carrion crawler to obtain a talking sword. I sneak into the slavers den, find a quiet corner and drop a trio of snares before hiding again. I search for a trap but spring it and get covered in green slime so have to retreat and heal. I leave Haegan alone but use snares, arrows and backstabs to eliminate his companions. Then I shadow sewer rest and introduce myself.

He hits me with a throwing axe so I retreat and let my snares tear him apart. My snares stop one troll but not a second and I have to glug an oil of speed what a waste before using an arrow of fire to kill the first. I lay more snares and lure the second troll to them.

I free three children, kill a pair of yuan-ti then rest, snare and rest. The next group of slavers have two irritating wizards and although I safely escape behind my snares and hide again I am held. Nobody follows so I recover and add another snare. I get a skull trap and lightning bolt in return so heal and throw another snare in. A final backstab clears the compound and I return to Hendak. Then I purchase a ring of air control from Ribald in case I ever need urgent invisibility.

To the city gates and from there the de'Arnise hold. Only I get waylaid by Suna Seni. I glug an oil of speed, run and fail to hide. I use the air control ring, and start to lay snares. I chunk Eldarin with a backstab and hide, then toss two snares at Suna Seni who survives unlike two companions, and finish with a backstab. I return to the mage and as her mirror images have expired backstab her as well. To the gates!

I have an enjoyable rest in the Crooked Crane and grab a magical sword daystar on my way out, the lich can wait for another day. Flydian asks me to help Trademeet so now I have the choice of two tasks. To the hold!

Another ambush, and this time I must help Renfeld. I do so, finding that Hareishan, the shadow thief doorman and Xzar can all see me skulking in the shadows. I sell and store more items, then find a potion case. To the hold!

Almost immediately I realise the scale of the task. So many valuables and so little space in my backpack. A trip to the promenade, and then I clear the outside of the hold. Next I clear the first floor up to Glaicas. Six snares are too much for him, leaving me with Nalias aunt and six golems.

Flesh and stone golems first with a backstab and snares, then forge the FOA +3 and promenade the loot. Back for the remaining flesh and stone golem, then the clay and iron golem. The clay golem is uninjured and the iron golem badly wounded. I have to use the air control ring to escape and rest for another try. The iron golem is down, another rest and snares leaves the clay golem. It survives the first seven snares so I use the ring to hide and lay six more. It survives these but not their after-effect.

I head down and snare three trolls to feed the umber hulks before snaring them. Torgal collapses but shrugs off three arrows of fire before I have to run from the other trolls. I slam a door in their faces and lay a group of snares. One collapses but the other does not. I shoot an arrow and cast DUHM then attack but the troll is now uninjured. I use the ring and backstab it, then hide and return for Torgal. He's uninjured and ignores my invisibility you learn a lot more playing solo, so I slam a door in his face and rest. I wake up to realise he's my side of the door, and just manage to slam another door on him.

I rest upstairs and return to lay six snares, only four of which are needed. This time I use an acid arrow to kill him. I return to Nalia and tell her the bad news; not only is her father dead but she cannot travel with me so must marry Isaea Roenall. xp gets me to level 14.

Quick Note on Alora's Game

Alora has eliminated Mae'Var. She declined the Guild Hall, and is currently resting at The Flagons.

I'll dart this one off quick because I need sleep...

Two meaningful engagement here: Gethras and Mae'Var.

Gethras

Alora attempted a quick assassination of Gethras by simultaneously applying a Potion of Firebreath and a Flame Strike via her Efreeti. She couldn't get the timing right, however, and Gethras's pre-buffs foiled the plan. Alora settled in for the long fight.

Gethras played his hand fairly well, but time was on Alora's side. He could foil her Dispelling Arrows with ProMW, but that runs out. And while he could disappear almost as easily as she, Detect Illusions would reveal him while Alora remained protected from True Sight via the Cloak of Non-Detection. It all adds up to a dead mage of course...

Alora waiting out ProMW
Image IPB

Dispel.
Image IPB

Detect.
Image IPB

Destroy.
Image IPB

Mae'Var

This was a little scary because of all the backstabbers. Alora buffed her HP total with Potion of Fortitude and Potion of Heroism. That got her to 98- enough to weather a Backstab and that's what made the quest safe.

Mae'Var goes first.
Image IPB

Then the Cleric.
Image IPB

The Assasins quaffed Invisibility potions. Alora drew them out with Ras, and then took them down one by one.
Image IPB
Image IPB

One left. This one decided to settle into a range duel. Alora obliged. Her Darts of Stunning beat his Bow. Efreeti finished.
Image IPB
Image IPB

Ok. Time for bed...

Best,

A.

The druid grove. The last four trolls from a huge mound chase me back to Trademeet. I make no such mistake on my second attempt, fail to rescue some druids from trolls and promenade some more loot. Kyland Lind takes the traps for his druids so I have to kill them one by one. Three are down but one has cast a woodland being. I use a shortsword to avoid being held but she follows with domination and I can do nothing as I fall to her guile.

Should have rested and snared instead of try to backstab them. Back to BG & good luck all.

Small update.

Went back to thieves' guild, dealt with Ama's betrayal and anbush.

Updated the Horn of Valhalla with the chicken-beljuril. Not sure if worth 5000 gp.

Gound mimic's blood for the Umar Hills wizard, helped kill the golem.

Mediated between Madulf and the town mayor.

Dealt with the Shade Lord. Thank the gods, I was not at a high enough level to meet any liches in the dungeon, and  Shady himself was not that much of a problem. He did cast BBoD at one point, which made me wonder if I'd bitten off too much, but - since it's been a while since I fought this encounter, let alone under SCS2 - we did enter the fight heavily buffed (and took care not to buff at Thaxll'sillyia's feet - a mistake I made once before), and as I had suspected (but wasn't sure), SI:N protected Hador and Edwin from most of the Lord's powers.

We have finally left Underdark, and are after a brief chat with Elhan (Who was hostile, and nearly broke my balls with his War Guards).

Before Bodhi gets curbstomped, there was one thing left for us to do : Twisted Rune.
Insanity, SCSII and my very special AI for liches...  (still lacks a thing or two, but.. hey!)
Naturally with "ban" on lvl 9 spells.. yadda yadda.

The video has been cut down (all paused moments removed, most time stop casting animations cut down to the most important parts), because it's more appealing to watch this way for those who want action.

The video, is Here

A "Short" breakdown of what is going on (for those who care. For those who do not : My post is as good as done )

0:00 (Aka : Prebuff)
Stworca, the Sorcerer, has Stoneskin, Spell Shield, GoI and a Trigger with Spell Shield, PFMW and PFMEnergy.
Alaya, the Fighter/Mage has Stoneskin, Mirror Image and a Trigger with Spell Shield, PFMW and Protection from Fire.
Sleep-O the Anti-Paladin was buffed with Improved Haste and potions of : Magic Shielding, Protection and Regeneration.
Brunch the Inquisitor drank Potion of Shielding. He also has True Sight ticking and a 2-skins Stoneskin from boots of Gargoyle.
Gaeus - Barb - is under the effect of Enrage (or was it Berserk?) and oil of speed.
Our newly acquired character (Thankfully Xaio reconsidered his WS / Cleric and it's an Archer/Druid.. weird combo as well) has Ironskins, Death Ward and Magic Resistance.

Sleep-O is about to activate his own True Sight
There is also a Mordenkeinen Sword floating around.

Brunch and Stworca are immune to level drain.

0:04 Xaio started casting protection from fire.
0:05 Sleep-O finished activating True Sight. Shangalar's Protections go live :
- Protection from Fire, Acid, Magic Energy. Minute Meteors. Immunity : Abjuration, Stoneskin, PFMW and a Horrid Willing centered on himself. Only Sleep-O and the Sword are in the Area. Sleep-O shrugs it off, Sword is destroyed.
0:06 All other enemies spawn. Layene turns invisible (Staff), Vaxall activates Spell Trap (pre-buff), Stworca casts Ruby Ray towards Layene. A bit too soon perhaps. Gaeus and Alaya attack Vaxall. Sleep-O goes for Revanek. Brunch (MoD+2) hunts Shyressa
0:07 Ruby Ray scores and Layene protections trigger a nano-second after it does (A shame..) Including ; Protection From Fire, Acid, Magic Energy. Immunity : Divination, Stoneskin, Mislead, Spell Turning, She insantly turns back invisible.
0:08 Xaio Finished casting protection from fire, he attacks Vaxall.
0:09 Shangalar casts Wish (Yes, WIsh)
0:11 Shangalar wishes that all our protections are dispelled. Vaxall dies. Shyressa outruns Brunch, heading towards Alaya..
0:12 Revanek dies. Our Stoneskins die.
0:13 Alaya used Sunray (Daystar), Shyressa is greatly damaged. Stworca already recasted Stoneskin.
0:14-0:19 Time Stop #1 by Layene. She casts GoI and Breach on Sleep-O
0:21 Gaeus uses another Rage,. Sleep-O uses dispel magic, a bit too close, our stoneskins are GONE once again. Shyressa tries her Cloud of Bats at Stworca (Insect Swarm) but GoI makes us laugh at it.
0:22-0:28 Time Stop #2 by Layene. Greater Malison on our party. Symbol fear on the party and Absolute Immunity on Herself.
0:28 Shangalar finished casting Remove magic on us
0:29 Shangalar PFMW-contingency fired. Gaeus goes for Shangalar to hopefully make him use Imprisonment.
0:30 Remove Magic hits.. Effin Hell.. Xaio is under the effects of Symbol Fear.
0:31 Shangalar Spell Sequencer(i must have accidentally cut out half a second here) : Improved Invisibility and Double Fire Shields.
0:32 Layene uses the same Spell Sequencer. Alaya's Spell Trigger goes live.
0:34 Shyressa died.
0:35 Gaeus uses Horn of Blasting. It does minimal damage to Layene, but moves both mages away. Sadly it also stunned Stworca.
0:37 Sleep-O turns invisible (Ring of Gaxx) hopefully to force Layene or Shangalar to waste a spell in order to get rid of it.
0:38 Brunch casts another True sight. Feared Xaio runs right into the fire.
0:43 Layene casts energy blades.
0:44 Sleep-O casts dispel magic
0:45 Xaio is no longer feared.. I have him cast Magic Resistance on himself.
0:46-0:49 Time stop #3, Shangalar #1. Shangalar attacks Xaio once, to interrupt his casting. He then casts spell turning and Breach on Alaya. (i just got this trigger running, you douche!)
0:50 Minute Meteor used by Shangalar interrupts Xaio's casting. Yay! (Yay for successfull scripting :wizard:)
0:51 Alaya casts Mirror Image (at that time it seemed the best move) Stworca casts ruby ray on Shangalar.
0:52-0:54 Time Stop #4, Shangalar #2. Summon Fiend, Cloudkill on Xaio, PFMW.
0:55 Gaeus was re-casting Enrage, but it was interrupted by Cloudkill. Shangalar's cloud damages Layene as well. She runs away from it. We are waiting for that.
0:57 I move Xaio out of the cloud.
0:59-1;00 Cornugon (summoned) teleports right to Xaio, Sleep-O runs after him. Brunch uses Dispel magic on the lich. Layene casts PFMW. Stworca uses ruby ray on Layene. Check.
1:01 Alaya casts Pierce Shield from Wand of Striking : On Layene.
1:02 Cornugon died to Xaio and Sleep-O
1:03 Shangalar uses breach on.. Gaeus.. Strange. He also attacks Alaya. She is protected with Images though.
1:05 Stworca uses his own wand, and another Pierce Shield flies towards Layene. Sleep-O goes after Layene.
1:08 Layene casts Stoneskin.
1:11 Gaeus casts another rage.
1:13 Alaya finished casting Breach. Target : Layene. Lich casts Symbol Death, probably hoping that his attacks on Alaya were not stopped by Mirror Image and the Symbol Would kill her (It would)
1:15 Layene is dead. Stworca casts ruby Ray on Shangalar. Xaio casts dispel magic on Shangalar.
1:18 Shangalar has no PFMW active. I send Brunch in. Shanga starts casting another spell, a long one.
1:20 Shangalar is destroyed by Mace of Disruption.. It annoyed me to no end, because i didn't want to kill him in such a cheesy way..

Oh well..

I'll probably re-record it, but not as part of the Ironman run.

"Fun" fact : If lich had wished for double time stop plus alacricity, we'd be neck deep in manure. I actually hoped that he would.

Regards!

Quick Note on Alora's Game:

Alora is currently conducting a "Happify Athkatla" campaign. This has entailed punking various grumpypusses and ne'r-do-wels.

Captain Dennis

Alora started with the Mage, and then put the Cleric at the top of the hit list. The Cleric's back was against a wall however. Alora used Ras to draw him out in the open.

Armor of Faith, Sanctuary->Heal and a Potion of Superior Healing allowed him to weather quite a bit of hurt. He stayed on his feet long enough to launch a Symbol Stun. Counter: Sword of Avoreen.

Once the Cleric was finished, it was cleanup time.

Mencar

Sorcerous Amon had been dropped previously. Brennan, Orcslicer, Pooky, and Mencar were left (listed in order of threat potential).

With his large stack of Potions of Invisibility, Brennan was by far the biggest threat here. Mr Efreeti drew his attention, and Alora took a swing. Home run.

Movement managed Orcslicer though the Range on his sword combined with the close quarters made him a threat. Potion of Clarity+Shield Amulet kept Pooky under control. Mencar was irrelevant as usual due to the poor Range and Speed Factor of his hammer- especially so this time since Alora was wielding staves at Range 2 Speed Factor 0.

Alora is currently resting at the Flagons. She's not sure what her next move will be. I'll let you know when she decides.

Best,

A.

Ravvy the shapeshifter has graduated from BG1 and begun her run in Athkatla.  After a few recent poor runs I didn't want to take any risks and started off cautiously in the dungeon by avoiding the ogre mage.  However, once Ravvy had reached level 11, to get access to a fire elemental, I felt confident to take on the rest of the challenges.  The elemental, nymphs and sundry animal summons did most of the work in seeing off the mephits in the elemental plane, the mephit portal room, the escaped clone and the vampire.  Ravvy helped out with the battlemage with a dispel magic to allow the elemental to finish things off.  Ironskins meant the thieves ambush at the end was no danger.

Ravvy's stats at the end of the dungeon are:

Alora invites all citizens to report know grumpypusses to "Happify Athkatla" headquarters on the second floor of the Five Flagons Inn. Submitted tips will be processed in a timely fashion.

Best,

A.

Btw. Glad to see Ravvy in Amn Grond0. I definitely rooting for her!
