Edit: Oh and, over less combat related skills, but you can increase the power of said skills as you increase in power yourself, basically it was explained that you'll tailor a smaller amount of skills to be what you want through gameplay. So rather then getting a new skills every level you enhance one you already have or whatnot. Sounds intriguing.
Hmmm.... I figured they'd scale back the skills and abilities a little, but that sounds an awful lot like what they did in Mass Effect 2- way fewer abilities to choose and you only increase their strength/area of effect when you level up. I can't say I'm too thrilled with that prospect...

If so, then it looks amazing.
And less skills? Sounds good to me, the first game seemed to have too many for me, a lot of them seemed to cross into each others territory.

I'm reminded of that book that supposes that Andraste was actually a powerful mage. Flemeth being Andraste would be an epic twist, but you'd think those spirits and stuff on the mountain (I forget what the place is called) would know if Andraste was still around and kicking. There was no hints or anything... Unless the cult guys believed the high dragon was Andraste because she could transform into one?Funny_chan wrote...
LOL
What if Flemeth is actually Andraste? That would be quite a twist!
Anyway, I'm over-imaginative today.
Ugh. Over-imagination indeed.

It reminds me of all the comic style fan art.IndigoWolfe wrote...
Reminds me of Pirates Of The Carribean mixed with Fable. And a bit of ATLA's Iroh mixed in to boot.

Are you guys seriously gonna change the Darkspawn?
I hope so, actually. Before Origins came out, we were treated to a darkspawn design that was clean-cut. It still fit the darkspawn's personality, but they were still defined. In the final game, I found the color pallette and armor designs for the ones we're almost always seeing to be rather less than noteworthy. Especially since we were almost always viewing them from a good distance due to the camera placement in the game.
I think this new design gives them a much more recognizable and memorable visual identity.

Darkspawn! Spreading fear into the hearts of men through questionable sartorial decisions!

Still, I am -far- from convinced. I can live with poor graphics. I doubt I can live with a fixed character concept, and no ending to DA1
