Go in CC, log in, create your character, then upload button (last page of the character creation process). It may take a while to appear on the website.

After that, you'll find it your My games, PC users page

And to change your avatar, you'll have to manually select it in your Profile/change photo

Sorry to ask, but where this button appear on the last page? There is some little buggy graphics on the left side of the screen, but I see the log in button fine, I just don't see the upload button at all, could you post a picture or something.

It's just under the portrait of your character, the upload info button. See?

Damn, I'll have to go back and checked on my brother's PC (I'm on Mac, so I can't check it right now), but I guess I'm going blind, cause I just didn't see it.

Go to Profile, and then Change Profile Photo. After the servers have some time to upload your character from the CC (after you hit Upload Info), their portrait will show up as an option there.

What do you mean, using your characters as avatar ? Here is the procedure: go to Profile / Change Profile Photo.

If you're correctly uploaded your characters, they should appear in a box at the right of the default forum avatars.
Just select and click the blue button "change profile photo' and enjoy. Once again, this may take a while between the upload and the moment the character appears. If it's too long, try reuploading.

As my great great grandpma (we just sorta blended it together after he/she started his/her transvestite phase) used to say, "If at first it takes more than 2 hours, upload, upload again."



At least once a day I'll go in and tweak something here or there on my character (and I'm still trying to decide between 2 or 3 different hairstyles), and sometimes it just doesn't show up on the forums. Most times I've had to reupload something before it showed up was 3, and I might have just been getting impatient on that last one.

It is rather strange but some people have claimed it has taken them up to 6 - 20 hours for a character to appear online while others seem to appear in 5 to 10 minutes.  I have no idea what causes these delays.

I've actually tried several times per character over the past few days, so I'm not entirely sure why nothing has bitten yet.

Wow.. that is strange.. Have you received any error messages or anything.  We were having trouble a little while ago with only partial uploads and someone discovered that by restoring the settings back to default or lower would allow the full upload.  (it makes no sense but it worked.)  You could give that a go and see if you have any results.

Thanks very much for this tip, that's what finally worked for me. I'd get screwy uploads or none at all (after days!). Lowered my settings, and my characters are appearing within 10 - 15 minutes now.

For some reason I haven't been able to update my characters for 5 days now. When I first downloaded and created some characters they uploaded in about 2 hours (first day of release). Last week I deleted all but one of them (here on BSN) as I wanted to redo a bunch of things and re-upload them. I also made some new ones.

So far not a single one has loaded. I only have one of the originals left. I just reset everything to default and crossing my fingers they will show up by tomorrow.

I wonder if it has to do with the delete functionality on BSN. It was working fine before. I login fine, I have verified accounts are same, etc...

Running out of ideas. I can only hope if this doesn't work it will fix itself when the game comes out.

Damn is there no way to resolve this after you created the character? I didn't see the Upload button and am already a lil into the game, is there no way to go back and upload character info? Why wouldn't EA create a way to go back and do this? BAD BAD EA/BIOWARE!

You're kidding right? So, after starting the game, there's no way to upload your character? Gee, that's some sort of oversight. Freaking irritating is not the half of it. So, I'm way into the game with a new character, and that's it - no way to up load, update on line etc? So not good.

Does this mean I have to have the game running for days to get the upload done? Or hours? If so, then I'll never be able to upload any characters, since for some reason the XP terminates the connection after a while when it hasn't been used. I'm using it on Mac through Bootcamp, that might be the problem with the connection, but can't change that anytime soon.



Also, I don't remember seeing that kind of screen in character creation at all. The game just starts right away after creating the character. Is there something I'm missing?

I am completely bummed by this.  I accidentally created two characters with the same name - one on the day CC came out and the second just a few days ago on my second playthrough.  I realized what happened when my info for my elven mage from the game was being attached to the Dalish Elf character I never played on the social site.  I deleted the character thinking that I could reupload the correct/new character.  I take it that this is an impossibility?
