To those who have read the article, there was a certain statement made by Mike Laidlaw concerning Morrigan. The question presented to him was if there would be any Origins characters coming back for the DA2. His response was "We are certainly not done with Morrigan's story I can say that."

Could this mean we could see not only Flemeth, but also Morrigan in DA2. If so what type of role could see be playing a major or a minor role?

My opinion is that she's going to be playing a minor role for the time being for this game.

Why Morrigan. God, I like her, but there are such better characters.....I guess they do need to fill in the "baby" part......

Antagonist is my bet, maybe not the main one, but she's up to no good.

why not? Her story needs to be told because it', of course, incomplete. And of course since we're seeing Flemeth, my bet is we're going to be seeing Morrigan too in some way shape or form

Morrigan has opened up a library.

I know, out of character, but it happened.

It's always the hot female character that become the second "main". Why not the hot guy.  :(

who knows. She a grey character that could go one way or another. Im going to say she might be some sort of protaginist, but it's hard to tell because of the mystery that surrounds her.

I'm curious where they will take her. I was hoping though, that we'd have a completely new cast.

Wait what?  Flemeth is for sure in DA2?

Where Flemeth goes, Morrigan surely will tie in somehow...that said though, I doubt they make Morrigan out as a straight up villain.

My guess is that Flemeth and Morrigan are seeking to restore the Old Gods to prominence which of course will not get them any love from the Chantry. Maybe FLemeth is trying to manipulate Hawke in some way on his/her rise to power as Champion of Kirkwall and possibly uniting the Free Marches. With the Free Marches united, maybe Hawke then can raise a ruckus depending on if he/she is pro-Old God or pro Chantry....?

It was confirmed in Game Informer that she was the dragon.

Well scrounging around for information about the game informer article until it pops up in stores I found this thread.
http://www.gamefaqs....rigins/55578777

The guy mentions this:

- screenshots depict a character that looks a bit similar to morrigan in the players party. she even does magic. however if this is morrigan im not sure.

My guess would be he is referring to the white haired woman in the concept art though.

Edit:

Maybe the woman is related to Morrigan and Flemeth. That would certainly be a way bring both of those characters into DA:2.

It would be quite possible to continue Morrigan's story without catching one glimpse of her. I wouldn't jump to any conclusion in either direction, just yet.

Because the hot guy never leaves in a mysterious cliff hanger, w/ u making up wht happened. . . .at least not always.

So that means dragon lady is probably Flemeth, and not OGB. Thank God. Hears to Bioware saving OGB for a role as a protagonist.

Where as Hawke is merely working towards the aquisition of power and fame, OGB as a protagonist could be a quest for near godhood. Or of course, OGB could become a grey warden, and use his archdemon powers (sans the madness) to kick ass and stuff.

don't put your bets on the OGB yet remember some people didn't do the dark ritual.

Eh, Morrigan said that Riordan wouldn't work, but maybe if you don't do the ritual she tries anyways with him and it does work? I doubt she'd give up easily.

That'd be a kick in the pants to anyone who died heroically.

Morrigan is Flemmeth.

I'm still firmly in the camp of Flemmeth as a title rather than a specific person.

Here's the statement regarding Flemeth for all those who are wondering: "This dragon is more than it appears. After swooping down and grabbing a darkspawnin its talons, it transforms into a familiar figure: Flemeth. Still holding the dead darkspawn in her hand, Flemeth walks through the flames and approaches Hawke, saying "Well, well, what have we here?" (source: Game Informer Article)

Many believe that the DR has been canonized.

*Squeals with glee*  Yay Flemeth, but boy is she going to be mad at me.  I killed her in all my playthroughs.  Hmmm.
