So I see the 3 poster deal on facebook and it looks awsome. 3 posters, $24.00 + shipping and handleing
So I try to buy and suddenly im being told the only shipping option I have is $13.00?
Why would I pay an extra what? 65% in cost for shipping and handling?
Sorry but you lost a sale.
I could see $5.00 shipping and handling in a nice cardboard tube mailed but thats about it!
Maybe it doesnt matter but I imagine im not allone in refuseing to pay these crazy shipping and handleing fees!!
/shrugs, thats all I have to say!
BTW: I come to Edmonton once a year so could I buy these things at the Bioware office and mail to myself for 1/4 the cost as im there already?
I dont know if this been said before but so you know Bioware

The warehouse is in Denver, Colorado, USA...so, to your last question, no. As far as shipping costs, I've never seen anything over-exuberant...but then again i live in the continental US...which makes me wonder where you live if it would cost so much?...I would assume Canada but it shouldn't be costing that much.
Given that facebook says it, I may suggest PM'ing Jedi if he doesnt respond to this topic...he'll look into it and likely get it to you how you want it...

yup, live in eastern Canada
only one option was $13.00, there was no other option which is unusual for these shipping places.
I know over night off Amazon is like $12.00 so no clue whats costing $13.00 for what appears non overnight delivery.
I saw ad on facebook but that was a link to Bioware store, not a facebook one (just to clear this up)

International shipping rates to Canada start at $13.00 which is for a trackable shipping method that take 5-14 days. These are costs are what it cost us to ship. I can't speak for other company's shipping rates, but I would expect a company like Amazon has distribution centers in Canada which would lower the costs.

I live in Canada and have bought/sold posters on Ebay and I have never seen $5 for 3 posters from the US. Even within Canada its not that cheap in my experience to ship a tube. Biowares cost is maybe a couple dollars more then the average that I have payed in the past to ship posters in a tube bought from the US. Bioware is using a trackable moderately fast method from XPO, compared to say first class international from USPS that I have always paid for in the past which is the cheapest, slowest method to ship anything.
Comparing Amazon to one very small store is way off, like jedi said Amazon has lots of distribution locals in Canada and since their so massive they can offer great shipping costs because they do so much business.
In my opinion your way off base on this.

As Jedi said, maybe they have canadian distributers.
I just bought the Stargate SG1 collection and paid $8.95 shipping and handling and that weighted a boat load more then 3 posters will. That was 3 months ago
I didnt know the store was in states when I posted.
Silly me, canadian company = canadian retail store (normally anyways)
Well thats sucks, is there any way to get these other wise cause I simply will not pay 65% precent mark up on shipping and handleing on principle! Rather go with out (but dont want to)

Only way is through the online store, everything in the store is exclusive to the store.

yeah you can purchase in bulk and shipping stays the same. P.S. think about ditching the tracking number to save us a few bucks. I've heard from many that the number doesn't go live for about a week. My personal experience is 7 days so far and my number still doesn't work.

Not quite right. The Prima game guides, the letter openers, soundtracks are available elsewhere, too. I also saw the faceplace on another store.

Thats true, how about everything but the Accessories section is exclusive!
I was just thinking about the posters at the time.
