Thankyou!! I was going to point that out as it annoys me too.bruntie2 wrote...

If the actor has to be british, then it has to be rowan atikson.
Tennant is scottish, though. He's like that guy from house but with a british accent instead.
You do know that Scotland is a part of Britain don't you? Also, there is no such thing as a "British accent" (You could mean Welsh, Scottish or English). Sorry, this just annoys me.
David Tennant for Male Hawke [Edit: or Companion / NPC]

I say Brian Blessed.
I second this. Hawke's beard deserves Blessed's boom tones to emanate from it.
The only problem I can see with this is that all your enemies would run away first:)

Never played that. Had the first one on the PC and really wasn't fussed. Peter Molyneux has been all talk and no trousers for the past 10 years now.
I hope Fry got a large cheque for his trouble.

What exactly is a heroic voice? I hope it's not the scratchy, husky, rough "tough guy" voice we see all over the place these days (like Master Chief, Gears of War, etc.). Because that is getting old. Not to mention it's by definition one-dimensional. How is that "heroic" voice going to sound in a normal conversation?Lucy_Glitter wrote...
1. Tennant doesn't have a heroic voice
I'd rather have someone with range, and who is capable of subtlety. I'd honestly rather have someone who sounds NOTHING like what most people assume a hero should sound like.

Agreed. Subtlety is what's lacking in most protagonist voices. My (mostly jokey

Michael Sheen, could work however - plus he could do whatever the hell accent Bio wants. Seriously, El Codge, Port Talbot, is it? Your bit of Wales (and I'm including Neath, Swansea maybe) seems to ooze acting and singing talent. Something in the water, boyo.

Haha, missed that post.
A lad I work with is from that way. He'd be less than impressed if I called him German:)
