 If the PC has to be voiced, David Tennent would be a good choice. One of the major problems with a voiced PC is that it can very easily ruin the game, given that it may not be how you see the character. It needs a very good actor to avoid that.

Any of the Buffy/Firefly alums would be equally good.

for the love of god not tenant , got to be one of the worst actors to ever appear on prime time telly. For gods sake he isnt even the best doctor who. Does anyone over 18 actually watch that show? Maybe as a small part as a court jester , or playing the part of a terrible actor but certainly not the main character

Bill Bailey isn't Welsh, but I agree - he'd make a fantasic dwarf or narrator.

David Tennant is best known for his role as the tenth Doctor in BBC's Doctor Who. While there is many good actors who've played the Doctor over the years, none of them have had performances that have stayed with me as long as that of Tennant.

His emotions adapt greatly to many situations throughout the series as shown in the video below:


This would appeal to another audience (mainly, Doctor Who fans) and attract a different voice than a gruff tough mean guy that most games with voice acting try to go for, he can pull off the various roles that a main character requires without pushing it into weird zone (for example, the Mass Effect 2 romance dialogue from Mark Meer is a little creepy).

Thoughts?

yes i think hes a good pick  because of doctor who or harry potter 4 he is a really good actor  i think he'd make a good cousland if they ever make a DA:O movie  he'd easly fit into the roll dont think a hawk though going by the pics of hawk

And non-violence is second only to incest on my list of things I don't want in Dragon Age.(Not that I'm comparing one to the other, I mean it as a joke.)
