Not in the states, certainly. Though he was in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.Dick Delaware wrote...
Hey, maybe I'm living under a rock or something, but he's not that recognizable, is he? Certainly not comparable to a guy like Samuel L Jackson.

Well, he was Doctor Who, which is known to Sci-Fi fans, which often overlaps with Fantasy fans, both of which are the type who would tend to like BW games....

Claudia Black was also on Stargate and that certainly didn't ruin the performance in Dragon Age even though her voice wasn't any different in both performances

My vote goes for Richard Armitage if it has to be a well known actor though, with David McDonald as a companion mage and Ross Noble with a lot of lines. If they cast Jonas Armstrong or anyone else from that stupid Robin Hoody show (apart from Armitage) unless they die horrible in a fiery death I shall burn every copy of the game I can find before embarking on a campaign of terror against BioWare.

I like the voice of the fellow who is the pilot in ME/ME2, Seth Green. He's mighty cool, it'd be awesome if he could do the voice of Hawke, or at least one of the major characters.
He's good for a comic relief character, but it'd drive me nuts he did the entire VO for the main character.
If Bioware want to spend megabucks, Christian Bale in "Reign of Fire" mode could be good. (That film also has Dragons and beards, so would be a perfect fit imo:happy:)

Unless I'm mistaken, a foolish idea like "Blasto the Hanar Spectre" actually made it into Mass Effect 2 because it was a big thing in the community. I support David Tennant as our apostate apothecary in Dragon Age 2.
*Glares at Bioware* Make it happen people.

Besides, his voice is nowhere near as distinctive as Jackson's, so I don't see how it would ruin the game. Besides, a good voice actor can change their voice to sound like different people quite easily.
He's ****ing Dr. Who. Not literally you understand, he's not having sex with Dr. Who.

I still say that Gerard Butler will be the portrayer of male Hawke.
I'll be fine with this provided that each dialogue option has a button that makes him kick the people into wells.
I just literally snorted coffee all over my PC
Well played sir, very well played.

If nobody else has said it already, Sean Bean. That is all.
It's already been suggested. Probably due to it being a damn good suggestion;)

*snort.* I can totally see this happening, too.
Hawke: Hello, [insert NPC name here.]! What brings you here to the great land of Kirkwall?
Messenger: I bring a message from our lord, King Frankenbean.
Hawke: Frankenbean? Isn't he that crazy Mr. Bean brought to life?
Messenger: ....No.
Hawke: Oh, right. Well then, go on.
Messenger: He sends a message. Ahem. 'To you, my least helpful, and most aggrivating antagonist, I send you this threa-'
Hawke: He's sending me a thread?!
Messenger: ....You didn't let me finish. I was going to say threat, not THREAD.
Hawke: ...Carry on, then.
Messenger: 'Join my kingdom, or parish!'
Hawke: Parish? NEVER. And just to send you a message, I will kick your messenger down a well!
Messenger: What? But..this is blashpemy! This is--oh, sod it all, I'm standing by a well, aren't I? Oh so very convenient. Also, how is killing the messenger sending a message at all?
Hawke: .....Madness? This is-
Messenger: HOLD ON. WAIT A MINUTE. WAAAIT A MINUTE. Please, you must reconsider! I am only the messenger! Also...isn't this a little bit silly?
Hawke: Not at all. THIS IS KIRKWALL. *kicks Messenger down a well!*
Messenger: Oh for the Maker's sake I knew I should've listened to my mum and got that job as a blaaaaack smiiiiiiiiiiiiiith!
