I'd be far keener on Sean Bean if he'd made a bit more effort in Oblivion. I didn't have any idea he'd voiced .... that guy whose name I can't remember ... until I saw him in the credits, he just sounded like a very average voice artist. Liked him in Sharpe and LotR, though.

I thought there was like.. 3 voice actors (except for Picard) in Oblivion.

Edited the title and the main post, but if you don't want to go to the front page to read, I'll just post it here.

Since there's a lot of people saying his voice is too high pitch for the
stereotypical warrior voice (I disagree, but that's my opinion) and
since there has been a lot of ideas about him being an NPC based off his
Doctor Who appearances as a crazy physician or a companion, I've
changed the thread to accommodate these beliefs and hopefully drag in
more discussion!

I suspect he's thinking of his performance in Clash of the Titans and thinking "That guy is awesome!" and that Hawke would be awesome too as a result.

lol no, not at all, that movie was horrible, it just seems to me that his voice would be suiting of a leader.

It doesn't have to be him, i just think Hawke's voice should be to the liking of every one, because i know some people didn't like shepard's voice (I not one of em, it was perfect for him).

Tennant is an odd choice for a stage name.

David Tennant is brilliant. I'd love to have him be the voice actor for Hawke....it might even mollify me in my deep sadness over him leaving the role of the Doctor. Bioware, if not Hawke, then you must find a major role for DT and soon! Make it so!

It's because the scottish actors union has a rule that no two members can have the same name and he was reading a magazine with a Pet Shop Boys interview in it right before he did his application.
