That is a lot of silhouettes in the background.  Are those indicitive of the number of companion you will have in DA2?  Or perhaps just symbolic of the number of lives Hawke is going to affect on his or her way to becoming the Champion of Kirkwall?

If that DOES signify the people that can join your party, I wonder if you can pick and choose.  It would be nice if you can build a group of people during the story.  We haven't been able to do that in any meaningful fashion since BG2, where just because a large number of companions were avaiable didn't mean you wanted (or were able) to recruit them all at once.

Of course the game takes place over a ten year period.  You might end up losing people and gaining new ones in that kind of timeframe.
