Im betting that Allistair will make a return in DA2, and i think he will probably be (if not the king) the Fereldon Grey Warden Leader, or if he was the king, then the grey warden is, if things went the right way. Having said this, i have not played Awekening and am planning to do so this week, so please dont ruin the story.

I'm not sure why he would return personally considering the game is taking place mainly in the free marches from what I can tell, but I could be wrong

If anything, his name might be mentioned by one of the characters/codex, (Why else would you have the option to import your game?)

 Based on this the leader of Ferelden is going to be "reflected" in the world. How accurate that is, I cannot know.

It's okay, just do what I do: Assume/pretend King Maric spread his seed all over Thedas - the world, perhaps - and all these "clones" are just his sons. It works out for me!

There will be mentions of your game, if you import your save from DA:O. I'm suspecting that when your in Lothering you'll see your old character passing trough with Alistair, Morrigan, and your Dog in a cutscene or maybe in-game idk.

I'm sure it is canon that he is king, makes much more sense than Anora anyway. But maybe improving relations with the Free Marches or something.

Not if what Steve Valentine said on his twitter feed is true.  He "hasn't heard a thing" about DA2.

Which means, unless Alistair's turned into the "silent hero", no, he won't be in the game.

I suppose they could have hired a voice clone or something, that's always possible.  But I hope not.  Though I've learned that wishing in one hand and having Bioware crap in the other... the Bioware hand fills up pretty f-ing fast.

He is most likely under a NDA so wouldn't be able to tell us even if he wanted to. But yeah he wouldn't of responded in that case, it's like not having Admiral Hackett in ME2.
