We told the amazons to take a hike then dropped strapless Barbie at FAI and replaced her with Viconia before paying the bandit camp a visit… we told the guards that we’re the entertainment and strolled into the command tent. Two fireballs & some adds gave the boys more “BANG” than they bargained for but we just ran away from the rest of the riff-raff… kill you later boys!

And I learned something new -- in all my 100 runs or so I NEVER have found this cave in the area (close to ogrillion with the +1 two-hand sword).

www.forgottenwars.com/bg1/ar4400.htm shows it, might be worth checking a few other easily missed places out.

Ever been in Cloakwood mine storehouse, nothing much to see but it's there with a obscured door on the north wall. www.forgottenwars.com/bg1/ar1800.htm

Fought the spiders north-west of Centeols lair? www.forgottenwars.com/bg1/ar2100.htm

Been in this cave? www.forgottenwars.com/bg1/ar3800.htm

Another cave here, much easier to spot though. www.forgottenwars.com/bg1/ar4700.htm

Upstairs and downstairs at the duchal palace?Again, simple to overlook.

Basements. Iron Throne HQ, Flaming Fist HQ.

Finally, Candlekeep library. It is possible to get to the top floor and nose around.

I find it amazing how much stuff is tucked away. e.g. the bizarre trade that loses the golden pantaloons, Borda and his potions, scaring Lakadaar off with wyvern tales, Fentan, rabid chickens, rogue slimes/oozes, Volo mis-locating the Blades and Stars inn location, Furret, etc.

What can possibly go wrong? :grimreaper:

Gaum, LG male elf wild mage. Travelling with Imoen.

We're careful and add several names to our book of the dead. Hairtooth, Gnarl and Arghain are the notable ones. Imoen suggests we look for Bassilus, he sounds dangerous so I'd better cast armour.
Image IPB

I assumed this was gate, didn't look at the text as I tried to run but then realised Gaum was dead so it must have been something else. Had almost reached level 3, with just under 5000xp.

It does look like gate (which sounds odd addressed to youImage IPB).  Is it possible there was a demon there for a second, who immediately chunked Gaum (he might have attacked before his animation had fully appeared)?

** 2HS, ** 2HW style.

We all know where this is going but Mervus is a bit dim and needs a subliminal message. You need to use a cursed berserking sword until you find Spiders Bane, just don't fight in crowded areas..

Gorion sighs. I explain again that I have not stolen the potion of clarity, it was locked away from ruffians but I have secured it for a greater good. We're still arguing when we are ambushed.

After his death I borrow what I can from Imoen, Xzar and Montaron then grab some ankheg armour. I quickly deal with Marl, Firebead and Brage level 2, 23hp and cursed sword with no combat; zero risk to get a THACO of 19/11 and 1.5APR.

Next are Noober, Oublek and Joia. A six kobold ambush with arrows wounds me 11/23hp, then two wolves disturb my rest. Six xvarts, six diseased gibberlings and six gibberlings prepare me well level 3, 32hp, THACO 18/10 for a belted ogre then Arghain and three half ogres as they are both moderately risky.

What next? Gnarl, Hairtooth, six xvarts, six xvarts, six xvarts in a cave, six more xvarts, six more xvarts and four xvarts in a cave. A magical tome leadership, charisma fills my backpack so I head back to Beregost but get ambushed by two ogre mages they're invisible so I could flee rather than game-end and four bandits.

A dozen skeletons keep a skull before Thalantyr can identify the tome, six wild dogs and three gnolls sword taken for Perdue, level 4, 42hp, 17/9 THACO.

Three wolves, grab Melicamp, ambushed by three half-ogres, two dread wolves with six kobold archers ouch, down to 22/42hp despite having PfE. Two more wolves, a six kobold ambush, six skeletons, six kobolds and Meilum who took me from 38 to 6hp so lucky, but resulting in THACO 16/8.

After all this time, 25 days and 17 hours, I wake up with a healing special ability had almost given up on it.

A six gibberling ambush is followed by Mirianne, successfully transforming Melicamp and buying a single potion of freedom buying as little as possible until reputation increases to do this.
Image IPB

Rigid thinking works on me, two holds dont, and I avoid being entangled level 5, 56hp, THACO 15/7. With a heroic 17 reputation I consider what else to do before investigating Nashkel mine.

I have to deal with Tarnesh behind the cow-shed eugh, but one-shot him before any spells and before the berserker fury kicks in, then tell Landrin her house is clear of spiders and agree to wash some pantaloons.

Reputation. Ask Bjornin about it, or Samuel. I purchase another potion of freedom, defend Prism from Greywolf and then chunk the artist in my fury oops, 35xp instead of the normal reward whatever that is.

Into Nashkel mine have to do the trapped bridge twice as the game crashes, using the second potion of freedom and PfE against Mulahey although he only had chance to cast rigid thinking it was the safe thing to glug.
Image IPB

After a brief tangle with an ankheg it's back to Nashkel for a reward reputation 20 and to ensure Nimbul will never know.
Image IPB

I land a solid hit on Tranzig, scaring him into submission before he can start to cast. No mercy though, and I chase him round the stairs before finishing him off.

Need to consider how to get to the bandit camp, Tazok was too close for comfort last time so might be best just to kill Deke.

Mervus, LG human male Cavalier.

A pair of dire wolves drop level 6, 62hp, THACO 14/6, added 2nd pip in longsword. Sil and five other sirines are easy prey too, but I turn back from a damp cave and head south to save a tree from Caldo and Krumm.

Just as with Prism my fury seems to be taking time to clear significantly longer than last game, not me being careless and I kill the dryad reputation drops from 20 to 10. It proves so again, this time killing a squirrel near six xvarts. My buying power is severely restricted once more so I decide to make amends.

Drienne speaks highly of me, as does Ardrouine but there is a lot to be done. I put my plans on hold and help Farmer Brus quite safe as the ankhegs are spread out then return to clear and loot the remainder of the nest level 7, 76hp, THACO 13/5, 2APR.

After that I do some zombie farming for Wenric, killing a cow in the process but realise he's not the talkative sort so my deed will remain unrecognised. I consider helping some fishermen but could kill the priestess or the fishermen when hostile so can't risk them.

Instead I decide to talk to Garrick and end up killing Silke. His penance is to identify whatever equipment he can before I tell him to go away.

Black Alaric will find his treasures gone constitution 19, hp up from 76 to 83 if or when he returns for them. Just in case, I pay 200gp to raise my reputation, then 500gp more now back to 15.

The cloak of displacement is affordable but other items I want to purchase will have to wait. Deke won't talk so I track down Teven and pretend I want to become a bandit. I get a lucky break against Tazok and emerge uninjured so the extra level here really appears to be helping compared to the last run.
Image IPB

As he staggers away I hit him again for 23 damage. Now to tackle the camp using potions of stone giant strength, absorbtion and casting PfE. Taugosz Khosann falls after three blows 1 potion not needed then and the ten bandits nearby fall one after the other. I lay on hands, then head for Ardenor Crush. He gets a couple of hits in while I am distracted by minions but I'm still able to drop him without too much damage.

I rush to the main tent, using my two healing abilities on the way. Then I realise I've forgotten a free action potion, so cast PfE and hope I can get to Venkt quickly.
Image IPB

Raemon is closest.
Image IPB

Then Britik.
Image IPB

Finally Hakt, who is far enough away for me to briefly come to my senses, requiring one strike to fell him.
Image IPB

The buffs are still active when I finish THACO down at 4 with damage +8, makes a huge difference as enemies just don't have the number of chances to strike back.

I switch boots grounding, but potion is still active so 127% electric resistance and force the chest open. There is too much loot so I store some back in the chest in case I need to raise funds later.

"Returning to normal"

I retrieve a cloak for Gurke then deal with Seniyad and his druids before using my fury on Aldeth. Oh well.

Spiders and ettercaps are shoved aside until I stand outside the home of Centeol. Quick as a flash I return to a temple and pay 500gp to remove the cursed sword. Then I return to use the shield borrowed from Bjornin and the Varscona longsword THACO changes from 5 to 8.

I emerge with a few wounds but the body of Chelak and with a new sword THACO still 8 though.

Over the next few battles I realise how much of an edge the cursed sword has given me. While not in trouble each battle lasts about twice the time, and I have to avoid a hamadryad. I fail to even injure a family of wyverns before beating a hasty retreat.

Still, I have to deal with Drasus. I glug potions of clarity and heroism, cast PfE and start with Rezdan.
Image IPB

Then Kysus.
Image IPB

Drasus next.
Image IPB

Finally, Genthore.
Image IPB

So it appears potions are making the man.

With the death of Genthore I reach my full potential in BG1. I head into the mine with the heroism potion ticking away and add potions of regeneration and absorbtion. Then I cast PfE, trigger a lightning trap and move in to deal with Hareishan.

The lightning trap and bolt from Hareishan are no danger to me, but the guards take damage and after killing two I move in on Hareishan.
Image IPB

My next blow obliterates Hareishan and as I move the scorcher drops another guard. My next three hits chunk the last trio of guards.

I'm badly wounded 35/102hp but the potions are still active so I press on. After freeing Rill and Yeslick I re-cast PfE and descend further into the mine.

I'm healing slightly 40/102hp, good job as I face seven guards, with two reinforcements arriving. I'm slightly healthier 44/102hp as I approach the next three guards.
Image IPB

Yet another PfE as I burst in on three more hobgoblins, and then the final two. The regeneration has worn off but I still have heroism and absorbtion so descend and finish off the final guard. Then I glug a regeneration and frost giant before casting PfE. Two battle horrors approach so I lay into them.

I have to glug four healing potions but drop both the horrors before collapsing 13/102hp. I cast two minor healings and PfE before tracking down Davaeorn.

I'm immune to his lightning, save against charm immune too, immune to hold and disrupt his next spell. His two sets of mirror images have been shattered and he is nearly dead. I'm still healing.
Image IPB

I flood the mine and return to Beregost before heading to Baldurs Gate. My first task is to clear the sewers.
Image IPB

The Seven Suns are next, five doppelgangers swatted to the deck. I report both events back to Scar, then agree to investigate the Iron Throne HQ for Duke Eltan. First though, I pick up a helm Balduran and free a nymph. I have to kill Dabron Sashenstar too.

My immunities take me up a tower to Ramazith, who tries to electrocute me and ends up killing himself instead. Next I help Varci Roaringhorn then Lothander, fob Larze off and kill Marek.

So, the Iron Throne HQ. Buffed with potions of fire resistance, heroism, hill giant strength and clarity are topped up with PfE. AC -6, THACO 3 and 2APR.

Diyab is down in three.
Image IPB

Naaman is next 96/102hp after 5 damage from Alai and one from Naaman.
Image IPB

Then Alai.
Image IPB

Aasim is the last caster, taking four hefty hits.
Image IPB

Doppelganger, two hits.
Image IPB

Zhalimar Cloudewulfe, a six hit wonder.
Image IPB

Leaving Gardush, another six hits finishing him off.
Image IPB

OK, getting the basics of potion buffs now. That last battle was fun.

Vessen the level 7 halfling cleric continues his adventures...

Vessen's party has cleared the entire sword coast except for the Red Wizards area (which they are working on right now) and TotSC areas, and of course the City of Baldur's Gate.

The Cloakwood areas were smooth. Against Drassus and buddies, we did our standard technique for fighting enemy parties outside - 2x web, 2x silence and 2x call lightning. It was devastating, even more so since Joshua and Hanna were fighting them since they are immune to the webs with their free action equipment.

Once the party got into the Cloakwod Mine proper, we dealt with the biggest threats here:
* Heirashan and her buddies -- a few potions of explosions and necklace of missiles from Joshua cleared the way for the rest of the party to assist safely.
* Big group of enemies 3rd level entrance -- 2x fear wand shots nullified the biggest threats (the archers)
* Mage protected by elite hobgoblin archers -- Joshua went with magic shielding potion and greenstone amulet charge. Hanna then discreetly assisted with her sling once the mage was occupied. The potion was still active so Joshua charged the Ogre Mage nearby using the same tactics.
* Davaeorn - massive anti-mage buffs on Joshua (pro lightning, greenstone amulet chage, heorism, frost giant potion, cold resistance) and he charged Davaeorn on his own. He was doing OK but then somehow Daveorn summoned like 8 ghouls. Lily and Uriah came closer to fire a shot from their fire wands to clear those ghouls out, Davaeorn falls shortly thereafter.

Now that the party knows haste, we went after the Doomsayer. Basic buffs were haste, protection from evil 10', defensive harmony, and haste. The arcane people fired magic missiles while the the rest of the paryt meleed. This was successful.

Still more to go, but the party is performing well.

Diary of Warstaff
Teifling Fighter
Quarterstaves ****
Str 18; Dex 19; Con 18; Int 19; Wis 18; Cha 4.
Day 2
I have been ambushed four times by assassins. The first two times it was by rank amateurs and there was no real danger. The third time, Gorion was killed, and this last time I was almost killed. T saved against blindness and it only needed one spell to almost kill me. Fortunately I had been given a healing potion that allowed me to survive. Now I know that Teifling are generally unpopular, but not this unpopular. I will now rest before trying to find Joia’s ring.
Day 6
I recovered Joia’s ring and persuaded Leia to leave her husband’s house. I then helped Tenya against Sonner. She was quite pleased about it. I then returned Joia’s ring.
Day 11
I headed south where I was attacked by 2 ogrillon, and later by an aggressive member of the flaming fist. I helped get Melicamp back into shape and killed a number of hobgoblins. I agreed to help Silke, but upon discovering her true nature, ended up fighting her. She badly wounded me, but she also wounded herself with the result that I was able to kill her. When I followed her inside the inn to kill her, I was attacked by Karlat. He also perished. I afterwards returned Perdue’s sword and helped Eltoth get back into shape.
Day 13
Gurke told me that he had lost his cloak in Cloakwood, but after I had gone to the trouble of finding it for him, he wasn’t interested. At least I now have a cloak.
Day 15
I Headed towards Nashkel, killing hobgoblins and bandits on the way. I was then attacked by two vampiric wolves. I killed one, but then was held by the other. I lost two thirds of my health before regaining my mobility. Needless to say, I ran. I returned to Beregost and joined Bjornin in order to recover my health.
Day 19
I killed the half-ogres that Bjornin told me about, but then ran into some bandits led by Teyngan. Jemby cast horror which led to Teyngan doing me serious injury. I killed Jemby and the hobgoblin, but was so seriously injured that I had to run leaving Teyngan for another day. I had 11 HP out of 70 HP left. Upon going back, he saved against my blindness spell and proceeded to take another 25 HP before dying, I then returned to Beregost for further healing.
Day 21
I returned down the road to Nashkel and then killed the vampiric wolf, several bandits and some kobolds. Just before reaching Nashkel, I met Lord Foreshadow who gave me a ring. It appears to increase charisma much as a friends spell does, only much more powerfully. In Nashkel I had to use all my patience to avoid assaulting Noober. I turned down some gold from Oublek and did some babysitting. I am now officially a hero. Honestly, one doesn’t have to do much to become a hero around here! I have spent the last few days running from enemies, and I’m a hero! Some hero, if you ask me!
Day 22
I have killed a lot of kobolds around the carnival and returned to Beregost. I think that the furore around the Friendly Arms Inn may have died down by now, so I will seek out Gorion’s friends
Day 30
I picked up Khalid and Jaheira and then Xzar and Montaron. We got to Nashkel and I left Khalid and Jaheira to do the task set by the mayor whilst Xzar, Montaron and I went “shopping”.
Day 37
After the “shopping” I left Xzar and Montaron at the beard and went to Lathander’s Temple where I met Gavin. We agreed to help against Bassilus. Gavin’s spell silence was invaluable. We then went to have a look at Mutanin’s garden and then went on to the beard where I bought a good quality staff. We went back via Wyvern’s crossing where we fought an Ankheg. We have now been asked to fight Mutamin which we will do as soon as possible.
Day 42
Got petrified by those medusae. Must have missed the potion running out.

@Wise, Teifling... where did you get that from?

Image IPB Image IPB Image IPB

The girls cut a stealthy path into cloakwood, although we didn’t really hide but skipped the druids & wyverns as well as most of the mines. Note that Jaheira fell to a drop spider ambush & is now one with nature ‘kicks to the curve’… Eldoth agreed to accompany us into the mines on a trial membership.

Image IPB Image IPB Image IPB

Killing Davaeorn proved a bit tricky however Imoen removed the traps & summoned adds whilst Eldoth/ Dynaheir put their wands of frost to good effect against the horrors until they started attacking Davaeorn… that’s a first but the truth be told the battle was over once Odare slapped her insects swarm on him.

Image IPB

With the mage dispatched we shoved all the useful loot into a bookcase and trekked back to FAI to raise Shar-Teel and collect strapless, the sleazy bard was unanimously voted the weakest link. Safana aka strapless claimed the Intel point (wizard tower) & immediately duelled to spell slinger… now it’s back to the mines for a word with that bottle blond so and so Natasha.
Note that Odare received her second ‘Horror’.

I got it from the BGII-Subrace mod which works with Tutu and probably BGT as well as BG2. It is slightly buggy, I have found two bugs, but I am enjoying it. I don't think that the programmer anticipated people playing it in multi-player mode.
I would recommend only using one sub-race character in your party. (The main one)
If you are playing in BG2 the NPCs can also be sub-races. As you can tell by the title, it was written for BG2. I haven't tried it in BG2 yet.

There is a thread regarding it in the no-spoilers section.
The bugs are not game breaking and the mod changes the character to look like it should do. Svirfneblin for example have dark skins and long white beards. Drow have dark skins and white hair. What I would really like is some portraits to go with the mod.

It is found at "The chosen of Mystra"

 RIP Maeri.  F HE Cleric 8/Mage 7.

Things were going well in the city of Baldur's Gate, completing many of the secondary quests in the city.  They had no problems with pretty much anything they ran across, from Ragefast to the Ogre Mage in the sewers.

And then I went into Delgrodel's house in the NW section of BG.  Battle horrors, invisible stalkers.  They fought bravely, but without any spell preparation things went rather poorly.  Working to keep Imoen and Safana alive, I ended up having Maeri doing melee with some of the horrors.  Once things went bad, Maeri attempted a Sanctuary spell to get some space but was interrupted.

Lesson learned: next time *use* the stupid invisibility potions.  And know what you're walking into.

NEW CHARACTER:

Grimjaw, Dwarf Fighter/Thief.  All points in traps (50 to start).  Darts as primary weapon.

Early experimentation proves that 50 traps is nearly worthless... you fail a great deal of the time, and harm yourself a good amount on top.  Thankfully, it's easy enough ( Candlekeep quests / Marl / Firebeard book / Purdue ) to reach Thief 2 / Fighter 1 solo, and then picked up 25 more in traps (75) and Kagain.

With Kagain, and some trap setting, it was easy enough to clear the Lion's Way, and work their way down to Nashkel.  Traps have proven to be invaluable for the early assasination encounters  (Tarnesh / etc. ) since you can lay traps down before the encounter and get a solid early blow against the attackers as soon as they turn hostile.

Reaching Nashkel and clearing out the first assasin there brought levels up to Thief 3 / Fighter 2, with Traps 100 (finally).  Looking forward to seeing where the shortsome twosome goes from here.

I personally think that putting points into unlock is the best option at Candlekeep. (The stone worth 1000gp)
After that pickpockets (Algernon's cloak)
After that detect traps. (The mines)

Only then do i think of setting traps.

However, 'chacun son goût' .

Apparently it is not to the taste of the french to use the phrase 'chacun son goût'. It's more to their taste to use: "Chacun a sa chacunerie". I discovered that when making sure that I had the spelling correct with good old Google.

I've never really mucked with thieves before, other than the standard party fare for BG1 (Open Locks in candlekeep if Protagonist, otherwise work up find traps and/or open locks to good levels before really starting to work on other items).

My experience with this run-through is that it takes three levels in set traps ( >= 75% ) to make them marginally effective.  It has been my experience so far that survivability is much more difficult at low levels than at later levels (unless you're stupid, which I regularly am).  This is my experiment to see if the "extra cash boost" from Open Locks ( 1K + miscellaneous small stuff ) does more than having a safe defensive running away attack ( trap ) towards keeping the character alive.

In a larger party I think set traps would be a bad idea: it's not an essential skill, level development is slower, and (quite frankly) it's enough of a hassle to use that a party with a couple of archers (for example) would find it a lot easier to just use the "run in a circle and use ranged death" approach than the "hit and run, draw tougher monsters to trap ambush" method I am currently using.

Seeing that 1K will buy you ... almost nothing in the terms of magical items/armor, so far I've been happy with the selection of traps.  It's made all of the early assasination battles ( except for the trivial ones in Candlekeep, where a good dart up the arse offset both of 'em before they even had their say ) non-events.  Shoot, I haven't even grabbed the diamond out of the tree trunk, and haven't seen a need to stop by and pick it up yet... and I've only just reached Nashkel.

In any case, my next three or four levels will probably be burned in find/remove traps to get to where I can safely navigate the game traps.  That should put me around Thief 7 / Fighter 5 or so... very accomplishable before BG in a small party (I hope).

Sadly, it means stealth skills will have to wait for some time.  No mega-backstabbing-of-doom anytime soon.

Regarding Bassilus, I suspected that the check mightn't be stat-dependant. I think it's just dodgy, because I've seen various behaviour before. I wonder if this might be a nice candidate for a mod fix (maybe just applying a death effect to them directly?).

The trivial fix would be to have Bassilus set an area or global variable, and the undead check that variable.  The scripting fix is a two-minute job.  However, I haven't ever done anything with weidu, so making that into a mod would require a lot more learning for me.

Secondly, I was trying to understand the intent of why the undead fall apart to understand what the right behavior should be.  If they fall apart because Bassilus is keeping them intact through force of belief that they are his kin, then it would make sense that they should (unconditionally) die if you managed to engage the appropriate dialog options.

OTOH, if they are just "normal" undead but go hostile because either (1) they hear an order to attack or (2) they see an attack going on, then the scripting behavior is pretty close to correct.

It does look like gate (which sounds odd addressed to youImage IPB).  Is it possible there was a demon there for a second, who immediately chunked Gaum (he might have attacked before his animation had fully appeared)?

Gate does make the most sense, although it's just a 1% chance.  From the wild surge table:

54 Summon demon to attack target

In this case, an Armor spell targets... the caster.

Vessen the level 7 halfling cleric adventure continues...

So the party finally arrives to the City of Baldur's Gate. We found a DEX tome, which we gave to Uriah - with only half his experience going to his thief levels, he could use all the help we can give him for his thief skills.

We found a rather hostile group of mages on the top floor of Sorcerous Sundries. Our only prep was remove fear and use of powerful ranged ammo. The victory was clear, though all the healers had to converge on Joshua and heal him, looks like he might have taken 2-3 melf's acid arrows.

We found a house being burgled -- we told them we thieves, and they asked what was the password (rather than just look at the party - 2/3 the party is wearing plate armor of some kind) - we said snail and they said there is only one way to deal with freelancers -- in their case, it was apparently die to freelancers.

Some seer wanted a sphene gem in the same area, what the heck we gave him one our cash is good. Nemphre wanted her ex-lover's necklace - we already pickpocketed that, she was happy and gave us a vampiric drain scroll, which Joshua failed to scribe (for 18 INT Joshua failes to scribe scrolls a ton).

Next up was Vayya and Deserta - divide and conquer was quite effective here. First, when the party got to the 2nd level of the Low Lantern, the party moved to the right. Then ONLY Joshua moved up, little baby steps at a time. This brought only Deserta. Needless to say 6 on 1, two times, is overwhelming odds (especially with our use of magical ranged ammo). The strength gauntlets went Hanna.

There was a basilisk in a warehouse in this area -- Joshua gulped a strength potion, potion of mirror eyes, then attacked. After he obtained the basilisk's attention, the party then supported him with ranged fire. This was successful, naturally. We found a house with 5 ogre mages gunning for us, the party fired 5 fireballs -- this killed the enemies in one swift stroke - it also killed Lily - drats. Not chunked though, so we got her resurrected. I used a new formation for this fight, the one where the party all lines up horizontally. Was helpful to mostly avoid our own fireballs.

In the Flaming Fist Headquarters area, we met a rather aggressive mage named Sunin - he fell instantly to our melee/ranged fire (crossbow bolts of ligthning are not to be underestimated). The archer was blinded and somewhat suprisingly Paja managed to charm the Kensai. We told the Kensai to attack his archer buddy but by the time he got there, his archer buddy had already been mowed down, so the party mowed down the Kensai instead.

Also met some rather aggressive thieves guild - but they were no match for the party. Paja summoned some war dogs to keep the archers busy, not that they were much of a threat to our tanks.

We investigated the Seven Suns per Scar's request -- turns out was overrun by dopplegangers. They were no match for the party. Scar was pleased with our success and wanted us to investigate some missing persons going on the east side of the city.

So we went ahead and did that - went to the Sewer entrance right by the Sorcerous Sundries - met an Ogre Mage who tried to talk to us but was gunned down before he could (wondered if I screwed up my reward, killing him before he could talk, but no was able to get the good dialog choice for the reward).

Now we were ready to get the cloak of balduran. Lily gulped 2 thieving potions, and easily obtained the cloak from Quenash's "pocket".

We brought a necklace for Euric from Nadine, and she gave us a rather nice necklace for us - spews out fire, could be handy.

We obtained the skyship components and Thuibuild was quite pleased with our success - a Hulraan mage then attacked us with...his staff (I know a mod of some type fixes this, but it is rather ridiculous that a mage would take on a heavily armored party and attack us with his staff, rather than cast some spells). We then came back to the scene of the crime and finished off the sisters, giving us another necklace of missiles.

The end-game is within sight...come on guys don't mess up! Condolences to the recently runs which have ended.
