Allow me to introduce Renfeld, a chaotic good, dwarven, fighter-cleric multiclass, who is more of a fighter than a cleric, and more of a son of Bhaal than either.
In spite of his initial impulse to do good, Renfield draws his divine power from his own spiritual father, rather than some lawful god. This gives him a chaotic nature, which sometimes translates into uncontrollable bloodlust.
In defiance of his clerical vows, Renfeld has no problem drawing blood, or slicing and dicing his opponents, rather than just bludgeoning them to death. He is thus a renegade, who scoffs at petty clerical laws, especially when it comes to his choice of weapons.
Unlike most cleric-fighters, Renfeld favors axes, a traditional dwarven weapon, which draws copious amounts of blood.
However, he is not opposed to the occasional use of a good sword, or even a bow, should the situation demand it.
(For this reason, I have installed the Level 1 NPC mod, which includes an option that allows clerics 1 pip in any fighter weapon, and allows fighter-clerics to use the fighter, rather than the cleric, proficiency table. I have always felt that restricting fighter-clerics to blunt weapons was somewhat artificial and arbitrary, especially given the fact that some of the clerical gods are depicted with swords in their hands. In my current game, Renfeld is more of a fighter than a cleric. Hence, he will use fighter rather than cleric proficiencies. This may raise his power ceiling somewhat by giving him access to a larger variety of weapons, but I suspect he will still be below a standard sorcerer or fighter/mage in total power, and most importantly, this change will make the run more interesting, and hence, fun, for me.)

Additional Mods: Tutu, Tutu Fixpack, Level 1 NPCs, G3 Tweaks: bottomless bags, infinite stacks, etc.

Alessandra has completed the first leg of her run: Candlekeep to Nashkel. A video covering this segment of her run can be found here.
The video was suppose to have an audio track: Can I Run by L7. Unfortunately the audio has been disabled. The song that was suppose to go along with the video can be found here if you'd like to play them together.
Anyhoo. Future updates will include pictures and descriptions as well as video. The video seems sufficient for this leg however.
Best,
A.
Btw. Nice to see you back Angiras!

Yeah. I thought that might happen. That's why I threw the Amazing Oopah in there. You know, end with a bang and all...
I am sort of annoyed that the audio was muted. The song matches that part of the story perfectly for her.
Oh well.

Thanks, and you too! I have admired your recent runs with Alora and Ashoka, and look forward to reading updates and watching videos concerning the current run with Alessandra, your new Paladin.
Renfeld made use of Sanctuary to explore a few maps and assist several people in trouble. He thus racked up some easy early experience, with very little combat involved. These adventures included finding news about a missing husband, helping a talking chicken revert to his human form, finding the dead son of a grieving farmer, and assisting a siren aquire a bowl stolen from her. He then made his way down to the Nashkiel Mines and Sanctuaried through the various levels to put an end to the trouble there. He is now Cleric 3 Fighter 3 and is contemplating recruiting some ranged help for the rest of his adventure--more specifically, Kivan and Coran.

I like the way you switch to staff when running from the half-ogres. That level of planning (in this situation eliminating the chance of a attack with bonus of 4) really makes the difference in no reload runs.Alesia_BH wrote...

Well then - Aximand and company have made it past Mad Clerics, Berserking Family-Slayers, groups of Assassins and other vile creatures!
The party swiftly put down Bassilus, earning them gold and one very good item for Eamon(a character which is doing surprisingly well as the group's Tank, though his hit points are a bit low) -and with the new Warhammer they found, he can pack quite the punch!

Moving onwards, the group escaped the mines after slaying the vile creature found bellow - and where attacked by a gang of Amazon women. A horror spell later, and a few arrows and a Warhammer strike or two - they emerged victorius, and to the victor goes the spoils! (I am absolutley enjoying Aximand's Horror spell, it is so strong - and I use it as often as I possibly can!)

Before heading to Beregost, having learned some disturbing things from a scroll within the mines, the party went to Nashkel to restock on arrows and sell some loot. There they defeated yet another assassin, whom Aximand hit so hard with Greywolf's old sword, that only his boots and items where left.
Deciding to explore a little before heading to Beregost, the party cleared out an entire camp of blue creatures, before they stumbled upon a Mage. Aximand quickly decided that whatever the Mage was carrying, was now his - unfortunatley this Mage proved to be yet another spellcasting monster!

After he swiftly cast his Horror spell, he almost slew both Eamon and Yarath - before focusing his efforts on Raqulis. She had not rested in some time, and thus where left defenceless against the Mage's onslaught.

Yet again, having seen his ward die by the hands of another foul spellcaster, he struck his Warhammer with fury upon the Mage's undefended head - and slew him outright.

(This was, without a doubt - the closest the party has been to defeat this far. Next time I'm fighting Mages, I will make sure the party is rested and in a good mood for wizard slaying. Phew! Also, seeing as how often people in my group seem to be dying, I sure hope the fact that I'm playing with permanent deaths(gore I think it is?) on doesn't kick in too soon!)
Now then, the party has returned to Nashkel to resupply as well as to raise their traveling companion from the dead. Onwards, to Beregost!
(By the way, I couldn't find the mods Alessandra used to get a potion bag and arrow belt - and not the one where Tarnesh has the bag of holding either - if these mods are allowed, I'd love the link to get them. Furthermore, seeing as it's too late for my current group - I tried to apply them through Sword Coast Keeper, but it tells me "bad game version - expecting 1.1 or more". Any help is appriciated, as my bags are so full, resulting in me visiting the towns a bit more than I'd like.

I have to say I'm tempted to try out an Undead Hunter. All the Paladin kits actually look pretty cool. The Inquisitor seems to be the one most people claim is overpower (because of the dispel, I think, so I nerfed it slightly with a tweak mod, BG2 Tweaks I think, though not as much as it allowed me to) but my experience with the Cavalier is that the immunities you get make a pretty nice set. In particular things like Ettercaps, Spiders and Sirenes which might ordinarily cause a lot of trouble are a lot easier. The Undead Hunter doesn't look quite so cool (particularly in BG1 where Level Drain and so forth aren't so common) but you don't lose a lot for what you get. Next time I pick up a Pally I may try this kit out.
As for Cleric/Mage, I've played one before and enjoyed it a lot. You do get a pretty awesome set of spells, and by L5/5 you can cast more than you ever really need. The attribute requirements and slow leveling can be tough, but the ability to do Clericy things and use buffs like Mirror Image is alone worth it, plus you have all those other Cleric/Mage spell combos you can pull off.

I selected the Undead Hunter on role playing grounds- nothing more. The Hold immunity wasn't a consideration. There is no reason to let a Ghast or whatever get near you and there is no reason to confront a Cleric without access to Free Action. The immunity is just a convenience really. It can save you a little gold and such and perhaps change your routing a bit but it isn't terribly important beyond that.
In Alessandra's game, for example, the Hold immunity is going to save her approximately 300-600 gold. She'll need to buy one or two fewer Potions of Freedom than usual. That's basically the extent of the role it will play in the game. And of course, she losses Lay on Hands so those savings may be cancelled out by increased expenditures on healing potions.
Anyhoo. She's been fun so far. She's currently at Level 6. I'll do a mini-update with a video soon.
Best,
A.

The BG2 Tweaks mod has them, however the Gibberlings3 site is not available. I can't remember which other mods introduce them as this is the default choice for me.(By the way, I couldn't find the mods Alessandra used to get a potion bag and arrow belt - and not the one where Tarnesh has the bag of holding either - if these mods are allowed, I'd love the link to get them.
You need ShadowKeeper as you're using the BG2 engine. Change the settings to point to your Easytutu folder and restart Shadowkeeper for it to take effect.Furthermore, seeing as it's too late for my current group - I tried to apply them through Sword Coast Keeper, but it tells me "bad game version - expecting 1.1 or more".
Edit. From your screenshots you're playing in multiplayer. If you copy/paste your savegame from MPSAVE to SAVE folders you can continue in single player with your created characters, The game is more responsive to pause/unpause, worth suggesting in casethe lag is annoying you.

Alesandra is now at Level 6 following a pair of successful hunting expeditions.

Basilisks.

Pooches.

A little video on the Basilisks hunt can be found here.
The song that goes with it is The Bomb again by L7.
Her next stop is Ulgoth's Beard though she intends to gather a Pro Acid Scroll, a Potion of Absorption, and the Girdles of Piercing and Bluntness before heading north. Once in the Beard, she'll pick up the Greenstone Amulet and will then be ready to take on the southern Clerics.
Best,
A.

I'm not sure if those adjustments are widely available- that's just a tweak I did myself.
While we're on the subject, I should note that there was a typo in that earlier post. It should have said Bag of Holding on Tranzig nor Tarnesh.
I place a Bag of Holding on Tranzig in my install as a convenience, but also because Davaeorn's letter says that Tranzig is suppose to have multiple Bags of Holding.
Good luck Easymark!

Thank you ever so much for those tips! I will be sure to add a Bag of Holding to my party then - finally!
And yes, the latency was getting the better of me - so thank you yet again!
@Alesia
Thank you for the information, I'll simply add the bag through Shadowkeeper then, it doesn't matter too much, but I very much agree to adding them - and I wish I knew how to do it myself! I must also say, it's a lot of fun watching your characters through their endavours! How you manage to do it, I will never know - but it is amazing to watch! My band dares not thread into Basilisk territory just yet. Beeing turned to Stone is not how I hope the journey ends for our evil group of adventurers!
A short update on Aximand and group's journey is in order, as Yarath had what you can call - a very very close call. I mean, it's amazing that he didn't get blown to pieces, and I thank lady luck for his survival!
As I had previously noted in my rantings, Eamon is becomming a quite formidable fighter and the group's dedicated tank. As such, the party decided to go Sirenhunting and to pick up a tome some pirate had left behind(and a cloak of the wolf as well, no less!)
The first group of Sirens was no big trouble, seeing as Raqulis has Detect Invisibility in her spellbook. They did manage to charm Eamon, but luckily the party picked off the sirens from range - and kited Eamon untill the spell wore off.
The next group of Sirens though, lead by a vile Siren named Sil - proved to be a stronger foe. Eamon chugged a potion of protection against magic, and charged in shield first. The party disposed of the Sirens swiftly.

As the last of them died though - Eamon was struck with Feeblemind. That's how Yarath's close encounter with death itself occured. Before he managed to flee(as he was attempting to kite Eamon at the time), Eamon struck him with such a force - I almost fell off my chair. The screen shook, and I was certain Yarath had crossed over. But Lady Luck would not have it, and death spared him, for now.

(Again, PHEW! How he survived that massive crit, I will never know - at least, it shows how strong Eamon really is! I guess the hit must exceed the character's hitpoints by a certain amount for him to be killed outright?)
After the fight, Aximand and Eamon entered the cave, and with a potion of Heroism and a potion of speed, the two cleared out the den of stinking evil!
Licking their wounds and heading back to Nashkel to sort out a Raise as well as some equipment restocking(and changing to Single Player as well as adding the bag!) - the party will now head onwards - and I do believe Yarath mentioned something about Bandit Hunting.
The Party at this point:
Aximand, Level 6 Fighter with -3 AC & 91 HP.
Eamon, Level 5/5 Fighter/Cleric with -3 AC & 37 HP
Yarath, Level 6 Bounty Hunter with 1 AC & 36 HP
Raqulis Septera, Level 5Wild Mage with 3 AC & 20 HP

I took my time getting there, too.. using it to get a good feel for the game again and grinding some of the creep camps in the first areas with good use of the sleep spell and in other cases running my familiar around while shooting at the creatures chasing it with bow and sling. It is a wonderful little pet, I got the pseudo dragon and the awesome thing about that one, I find, is that it moves freaking fast hehe, so it can always keep a distance even to the faster creatures like wolfes as long as you do not miss micromanage it of course.
Most of the time it works like a charm:

Other times I find those camps spawns too overwhelming.. still getting used to that. I am doing a lot of fleeing around the place

I am needing to shift away from the early game familiar luring tactic though I learned here where it took a shot from a bow user.. took it to badly wounded so I wont endure the risks of that strategy any more..

While in nashkel I swung by the karnival hoping to collect a few usefull items and a slight amount of xp.. I did remember a certain grumpy mage there, too.. and desided to stay at good distance with my wand of lightning on Morti and then bait him out with Imoen, at night, to avoid civilian casualties.. well sadly he managed to fling a nasty melfs at Imoen at he was struck by a lightning bolt.

I had another accident there too as I wanted to collect some potions from the potion sellers tent he apparently noticed Imoen and called the guards... they flung arrows at poor fleeing Imoen and I had to spend a few charges of my newly bought neckless of missiles.. my rep took a 5 point hit and Imoen nearly died again so I might have to drop the more 'risky' thievering for this run as stuff like that quickly turns cruisial with no reload button....

To make it slightly worth it I at least cast sanctuary and went in to collect those risky to aquire potions
I am standing in front of the mines now, having just killed greywolf with a scroll of blindness and some ranged attacking. I am so blank as to where the traps are down there.
Edit: I forgot to mention that the levels are currently 3/3 for Morti and 4 for Imoen.

Well, it definitely very usefull, especially early on but bear in mind some moment here - when you import your char from the final BG1(TuTu) save onto the SoA starting dungeon your Familiar will disappear whilst hit points bonus stay on. Surely you can correct that by ShadowKeeper and such but I personaly try to resist the temptation to *find* familiar till the beginning of SoA (just a note, nothing more)
I will have to shadowkeeper those extra hitpoints away then when that time comes. Thank you for the heads up even though I read it too late..
Good luck with your group Easymask they sound like hilarious characters, I will follow that one for sure!
Grond0 I am at the other side of the coin sorry to see Sally go down.. had hoped to pickup some pointers as to how a kenzie should be played through bg1... hoping for better luck with whatever you pick next.
After5cst, thank you for the pointers.. I do know the power of those things and I am a big fan of the magic in these games.. it gives a great amount of diversity which is perfect for a playful guy like me! So the massive spell book this class gives is nothing but welcome.
How interesting you popped in with some video footage now Alesia_BH I had been contemplating doing the same thing, I had a bit of experience with fraps from other projects. Such a bummer the sound was canceled.. hope it will be a rare event.
Cheers!

This is one of those things which is actually easier for a solo character: Just buy a scroll of protection from petrification (carnival tent vendor), travel to Mutamin's area (making sure to have at least two potions of Invisibility in case of ambushes to/from the area). Apply scroll, recruit Korax (for killing Mutamin, mainly) and start whacking/plinking away.Easymask wrote...

With a party it's much harder to protect everyone from petrification, but you could always just have a front runner (strong melee helps here) and keep everyone far away from any basilisks in a corner somewhere.

Thank you sir, I will be sure to follow Morti on his journey as well! Looks like Aximand's group is not the only one with casualties! Good luck to you!
@AnonymousHero
Aye, I do believe that part would be simpler for a soloer, and from what I can see in Alesia's videos - a skilled soloer does it with ease! I on the other hand, am not a very skilled player - but I don't really mind. I have never even beat Baldurs Gate 1 nor played too much of ToSC - but I grew up with the game and I truly enjoy playing it! I did beat BG2+ToB a week ago, on easy difficulty though and with tons of reloads. The final battle went horrible as well, and only my main character survived the onslaught(out of 6!) - so just turning the slider to Core and playing BG1 from the start all way through in this challenge has resulted in many close calls for the group! But, I am enjoying myself very much - so that's why I am playing quite cautiously. But thank you for the tips, none the less!
Back to Aximand the Mad and his companions then!
The party decided to drop by another unexplored area of the world, and ended up rescuing a Siren from her Ogre-Mage master! The battle went well, with only one casualty(but that was before the fight even started and Yarath was raised shortly after!). They then strode on, fighting Ogres and Half-Ogres, and completed a few quests that had been in their journal for some time.
They eventually ended up in Gullykin - where they slew yet another group of Assassins, and then proceeded to assist the village with their Kobold problem. Finding a villain in one of the houses, as well as braving entry into the Firewine dungeon through his secret door - the party found themselves in combat with another Ogre-Mage!

After the confusion wore off(which nearly killed the entire party, as they ran around the halls for a while - disturbing a Mage and his army of Kobolds and Ogre-like friends. Luckily, the confusion ended before anyone got too hurt - and the party prevailed!
Eamon thought that perhaps they should return back to the village to claim their reward, but Yarath convinced the others that surely treasures was to be found in this dungeon! So, they headed deeper - finding the odd trap or two(I have absolutley no idea where most of the traps in this game are. I've eaten quite a lot of them with Eamon - without him complaining too much). Unfortunatley, Yarath didn't find one particularly nasty one - and just as his encounter with Silke had ended, a few days before - he was fiercly shocked by the Lighting Bolt!

After the party had returned a piece of armor to a friendly group of Ghosts, they emerged at the Firewine bridge. There they paid a friendly bard for his stories, as well as besting a master swordsman in mortal combat. They also found a possessed Mage, whom died and the party's 3rd encounter with an Ogre-Mage occured. This one was fiercer than the rest though, and with Yarath dead - Eamon followed shortly after - when the party's last Healing Elixir turned out to be cursed! At least Eamon was drunk when he died, possibly saving his life in the end!

Finding themselves back in Nashkel, properly supplied and back in action - Yarath brought up the Bandit problem again, and they decided to head out to meet them head on in proper fashion!
The encampment proved to be heavily guarded - but nothing would stand in their way of fame and fortune!(even though the group is only averagely liked - having slain a couple of flaming fist mercenaries on their rampage through the lands. Aximand thought it would be funny to insist on being a group of Bandits, a joke the Merc didn't find too funny. The other was attempting to slay a Drow - and the party couldn't jut let him do that now could they?)
Clearing out the encampent as best they could, the Bandit leaders soon lay next to their Bandit brothers on the battlefield.

There's is but one large hut left unexplored, and who knows what enemies await within. The party will find out soon enough, onwards then! To victory!

I will put my solo fighter (to be dualed to thief) aside for a while, because I would like to try playing solo mage once again.
Morveduin the Diviner:

Amazingly, he survived traveling alone to High Hedge, where he slew some Gnolls and huge spider. Unfortunatelly Thalantyr’s spells were too expensive for him, so he headed to Beregost:

Morveduin traveled to Beregost without further incident. He talked to Marl, fetched book for mage Elvenhair, found lost letter for Mirianne and returned Perdue her sword.
Thanks to completed quests, Morveduin advanced to level 3 with 13HP.Lets see how far into the game will he make it (depends mainly on bandit archer ambushes).
