She'll be solo for all combat and all EXP gain. Imoen may be recruited for a little bit of pickpocketing -- though a Berserker may not actually need the Ring of Free Action. I'll decide when I get there.
She got an amazing roll of 96 -- I suppose it's mostly wasted since everything above 90 went to CHA... but I guess having reasonable CHA may turn out to be sort-of-useful in BG1.
As you can perhaps guess from her INT score, she'll be dual-classing to mage at Berserker (13).
I'm not sure how much I'll post before BG2, but I'll at least try to capture the main battles.
EDIT: Oh, yes, and she'll only be allowed to use two-handed weapons.
Mods and such: SCS I/II (no "tactical encounters/challenges", no "improved spiders", but most of the other stuff).

Tranzig is next, but I need to stop taking risks. A greenstone amulet may help, and I use a charge only to realise his spells are offensive and not debilitating. I rest after killing him to heal my wounds 22/50hp.
The bandit camp is full of Chill Hobgoblins, until I kill them one by one. Ardenor Crush falls to my hit and run attacks. The bandit archer arrows force me to retreat, on my second attempt Taugosz Khosann adds to my woes. My third attempt sees more arrows, but my fourth finishes off two bandits so I can get chased by Taugosz. He hits me, and I return to Beregost to try my blunter girdle. Not much help but at least this time I strike harder, badly wounding him.

I move away, then return with a critical miss and consider glugging a potion of absorbtion. Instead I run so I can heal and my next two kai strikes both miss while he hits me each time. After moving again he hits me for a third time. We move again and I hit him. Another move and he takes my remaining 24hp in one strike.

Sorry to hear that, Gate70. Taugosz is hard hitting fighter.
This is my new character, Kalethyr the elf:

(As you have probably already guessed I like Diviners and moreover “Knowledge, used wisely, is the most powerful of tools”, as they say.)
As usually, this will be solo game with max. difficulty.
Summary of his recent adventures:
He traveled to Beregost via relatively safe route across High Hedge. In Beregost, he talked to Marl, fetched book for mage Elvenhair and purchased sling +1 from Thunderhammer. South of Beregost, he killed two Ogrillons and found letter from Mirianne’s husband. South of Beregost, Kalethyr also killed Hobgoblin wearing Boots of Stealth and returned them to Zhurlong.
Near Beregost temple, he defeated Cattack and his band of Hobgoblin bandits. Back in Beregost, he returned Perdue her short sword and helped Silke defeat Feldepost thugs. On their bodies, Kalethyr found 3 extremely valuable Potions of Defence.
Kalethyr purchased several important spells from Thalantyr and learned them successfully thanks to Potion of Mind Focusing looted from random Hobgoblin.
Thanks to new spells, Kalethyr was able to exterminate spiders infesting Landrin’s house.

South of Friendly Arm Inn, he defeated Ogre with belt fetish. In Friendly Arm Inn, Kalethyr wrestled Joia’s ring from hobgoblins. He entered the inn covered by Invisibility, to avoid suspicious and unwashed human mage, standing just outside the entrance. He collected reward from Landrin and traveled further north, where he helped Tenya to regain bowl of elemental summoning.
Kalethyr returned south and helped Melicamp (he survived transformation). Near Beregost temple, Kalethyr killed several Worgs and Dread wolves.
Kalethyr is currently in Nashkel. He is level 4 Diviner with 17HP.

Thank you for the sentiments.
If I ever need luck, I'll have failed.
Inara is currently level 7 and heading towards the bandit camp...
EDIT: Oh, and "good intelligence" to you, Vaclavc. I always enjoy mage/sorcerer runs. In fact I have a Sorcerer up my sleeve if Inara should fail...

Glad to see you back in the fray Vaclavc!
And before I forget, good luck Anonymous - I hope all goes well!
@Alesia
Managed to install SCS now! Seeing as Malevorn died to his own confused Ogres outside the Cloakwood mine, I decided to do an insane party of no-gooders!(since I'm positivly TERRIFIED of going through SCS solo on a no reload)
Meet the mighty(and quite insane) mercenary band: the Tattered Cloaks!
Their leader is the foster child of Gorion; Arvan. He is a human Wizard Slayer - favoring the two-handed sword. Eliphas the half-orc Barbarian, Branth the human Diviner and Ademaj the human Conjurer make up the rest of the group.
I will probably be back posting their demise shortly, probably slain by some new band of assassins!

Arvan and his band of insane evildoers managed to get killed by a group of Xvarts and a the ogre with the belt fetish. A lucky swing from a both the ogre and a xvart sent Arvan to his death. Probably should have waited with that quest.
Having just installed SCS I really want to do another try though, to see what new aspects of the game there is to find. I have yet to bring any NPCs with me, so I decided to team up my new character: Arvan the Cavalier with battle brother Imoen!
Battle brother Imoen, now what do I mean by that? Well, I TRIED to warn her - but she told me to trust her and she put on the blasted belt none the less!
Here we are killing spiders in Beregost - having quite the time.

Remind me to have Imoen's head examined later(and my own for that matter).

I travel alone after the death of Gorion. So far I have helped Joia, Marl, Samuel, Mirianne and Brage.

The thing is that there were skeletons nearby, and she chose to attack them. I think she may have tried to talk to me, but in the confusion just ended up meleeing the summons again. Pretty frustrating since I had thought she would have tried a ranged conversation (potential "bugfix"?) but I guess I should just bite the bullet and soldier on without the Helm - shame there's no way ever to get it now, though.Grond0 wrote...
Assuming she already gave Jaheira the kiss of death then you're almost certainly correct that it was the use of ranged weapons. She needs to talk to surrender and if you don't give her the chance then ... The same sort of thing happens with the priestess seeking the bowl.

Hehe, aye - the cursed items can truly be a curse sometimes!
The thing is though, this Imoen doesn't want to have the belt removed. She keeps telling me how she's me squire, and that she can't wait to become a Paladin like me some day. It's madness, utter madness I tell you!

Week 5; I tested my familiar out on a merchant named Algernon but wasn’t in the mood to kill endless hordes of kobolds so just walked on by them until I reached the shaman… dropped a fireball at his feet (with my fire robe on I’m immune). The final cave had a two-bit cleric named Mulahey but my new cloak convinced him to discharge his spell list before succumbing to another fireball then searched the chest for evidence… now I’m on my way back to Beregost.

p.s. I returned the moonblade from the chest to Xan and he agreed to wait at FAI in case I get thirsty later... (familiar) 29 hit points!

EDIT;
PUKUD5a;
Week 5 (day 49 actually); Disaster strikes… no not Tranzig, that witless lackey died without even putting up a decent fight but he dropped a ‘Glitterdust’ scroll. I looked down in horror as it dunned on me that one of my all-time favourite spells is Conjuration/Summoning and denied to me… ME! Conjuration I could live with at least then I could legally cast it from scrolls & then to have my shame witnessed by an insignificant simpleton, the condescending way he said “hay-ya” made my blood boil… well I wiped the grin off his face but someone must have seen me so I had to flee.

@ V. I used to be fond of Diviners as well. I felt like it provided some in game justification for my meta-game knowledge. I felt more comfortable relying on what I know because of that.
@ Easymask. Have fun with SCS! What components did you install by the way?

@Alesia_BH; I plan to have Puk' & A'lisia go to the chateau together... assuming he makes it that far.
Week 6; I ran into four sassy lassies lead by the cleric Lamalha & they tried to make me their new pool boy… sorry gals but my heart belongs to Imoen. I had to use wolf form to carry all the junk back to FAI but selling that with some excess potions gave me the funds to recharge my frost wand (100 shots) & my new power is ‘Larloch’s Minor Drain’. I was about to fight my way past the bandit guards before the amazons so rudely interrupted me but with only 7 fireball shots (6 monster shots) remaining it’s time to conserve funds.

I needed more than 14 strength to bluff Teven into introducing me to Tazok of course, the cloak of the wolf covered that nicely… now how to kill the leaders? I know that I can get into the tent ok but they all have high Fire resistance, so that leaves web as my opening shot… now that means I need a potion of freedom & my good buddy Drizzt is guaranteed to have one of those. All good tactics have a fly in the ointment & Molkar had his pals waiting for me at Fisherman's Lake.

Don’t panic! Ok the new plan is cast ‘invis’ then get Drizzt to help me out but the stupid little so & so only attacks gnolls whilst happily ignoring the four assassins… “That’s fine pal… no really I’ve got this” thankfully AVANDRA smiled on me again because I had already memorised ‘Web’ which gave me the breathing space to fight them. With the assassins dispatched, my ferret started stripping the drow of his excess equipment; potion of freedom/ healing & a nice +3 sword but now the new problem is I only have 3 fireball shots remaining… perhaps a necklace of missiles would work?

Wow. That was a wild ride. I may need a break after that one...
Alessandra just engaged in a valiant attempt to rescue the Dukes. I won't say how it ended exactly- you'll have to watch the video. I think that is for the best given how things turned out.
The video can be found here.
The song this time is Drama by L7, and I'd definitely recommend turning the volume up.
I'll provide a final update for Alessandra soon.
Best,
A.

Vozz, CG half orc male swashbuckler.
These wanted posters are too lifelike, how do they know what is in my backpack?

Rufie the dog is safe once more, and Drienne can bury her cat. The wildlife is hostile outside Candlekeep so I'm starting to travel in the shadows for my own safety.
I sneeakily acquire a magical tome from a cave and kill the four xvarts guarding it. I sneak back but get spotted by a group of gnolls and xvarts. I try running, only for Gnarl and Hairtooth to join in. I try to make the bridge but they hem me in and I am forced to fight feels like game over but here goes.
I glug two blue potions and manage to fell Gnarl. A third potion and a xvart creates an opening and I flee, the wrong way.

Three attempts to hide fail, and I have to run past six more xvarts. I glug a fourth potion, fail to hide a fourth time but complete a circuit back to the bridge. There is even time to loot Gnarl before I escape with my life.
My next stop improves my stealthiness stats after wearing boots.

I have to agree with Alesia_Bh here, simply amazing creativity in the current challenge entries. I personally hope to have a least two characters through the start of the challenge just so I have one to fall back to should the first die an unfortunate death in response to the quietness in amn currently
ussnorway I have fingers crossed for your puk, it is a cute story.. well done so far and I swear that screenshot of his spellbook it was pretty much a reflection of Morti's!
Hang in there Easymask! I bet it must feel like uphill in this adjustment phase after your new mods.

That pathetic mage back at feldepost inn did have some decent clues.. it did not take me a day to scout through the forest by stealth and locate one of these bandits to show me the location here.. I can be persuasive when I wish it.

Such weakness here, though.. I rested until nightfal and when my beloved shadows finaly fell it did not take me more than the count to.. one

Two

Three!.. before they fell down. Clearly pawns.. how I wish to poison whomever is behind this operation of... deseased meatbags.

I found a good amount of documents, more than I felt like bothering to read standing in that smelly tent, but I will get to it.. a thief I met gave me an idea though.

One of my newest mixtured sturred with the droplets of the plant Actaea pachypoda is a masterpiece if I say so myself!.. and the sting it gives, goes beyond even some living things!.. ah yes, if I dip my arrowheads in this then surely..

The mage was as shocked as I was pleased with the result.. it did not take much persuasion to let him detail me where he originally aquired his two golems from, a cave to the west 'I see' his shaky voice removed any doubt that he was lying on this.

I met a thief by the name Safana, her charistma was almost as delightful as her ego.. she even felt she was my better in certain areas of the trade of sneaks. A pathetic notion of course but I found it amusing enough to travel a bit with her, she had potential, and truth be told she could nick a purse with grase.
Close to a light tower we came across a nymph and Safana with a smile told me to stand back and 'learn' .. seconds later she layed dead on the floor struck down by a kiss.. so much for potential pffah! I struck down both the nymph and her ogre master with little care for her motion of ressurecting Safana again to show her good intentions. A potent poison was used on her master, too.

I desided to bring Safana to the friendly arm inn to let her lick her wounds and drop her off.. her pickpocketing talent might be useful later, alas she did not survive the trip so I dropped off her corpse at the temple, instead. 800 gold to ressurect her was beyond my interest range.

Time to sleep and have a look at those letters.. hmm a mine in a forest..
