Alexander enters the challenge, BGT Ascension SCSI,II Core
Truly a child prodigy, Alex excels in many areas, having made the most out of his residence in the beacon of knowledge that is Candlekeep. Faerun is inhabited by many mighty characters, some are fierce brutes, others - masters of the arcane arts. But few can pride themselves in being both extremely strong and agile, while having an equally impressive intellectual capacity. Alexander is one of those few. This stems from his obsessive compulsion to learn and gain knowledge, whilst having a very balanced but rigurous workout schedule.
Gorion sensed his talent and potential from a very young age, and made all the efforts to ensure he gets the best training conditions. This even included a private and extremely exclusive practice session series with a samurai master, who travelled a considerable distance just to meet and train the young lad. This explains Alex's deep knowledge and skill of the Katana sword, a weapon seldom found in the Sword Coast.

However, would all this be enough to prepare young Alex for the insurmountable challenge that lies ahead? I guess it remains to be seen...
Having hastily made preparations upon Gorion's urgent request, Alex and his foster father embark on what would be a very brief journey in tandem. Not even a day passes until the two find themselves ambushed by a very sinister armored figure and his henchmen. This would be a day to remember for Alex, but for the darkest of reasons, as he watches his beloved parent get slaughtered. His last words.. run for your life. So he did. And to his surprise, Imoen, the ditzy and childish sister of Alex, followed suit. Together they pair up and follow the only trail of information they have. Travel to The Friendly Arm Inn and seek out Jaheira and Khalid, two people who can help them.
And so begins an epic journey across the lands of the Sword Coast, pairing with new friends, while losing others in battle. Even Alexander himself nearly succumbed to his death, when the gender ogre smacked him silly, leaving him with just one meager life point. Perhaps it was a rash decision to take on such a fierce beast at such an early stage of his development. He will have to be more careful fromm now on..
Alexander is almost overwhelmed by the amount of decisions he has to make in such a brief period of time, more so when you consider the fact that he is young and unwise to the outside world. Perhaps it was foolish to part ways with Jaheira and Khalid, the very two people Gorion recommended wholeheartedly as allies. But Alex made a judgement call. Upon seeing and feeling first hand the challenges and monsters he has to face and defeat, he decided that only the strongest people shall venture with him forward, irregardless of their alignment or personal views. The result of this was the forming of a very ecclectic and peculiar party composition. But even though it seems random and inconsistent, in Alex's mind, everyone plays a very specific and important role, which might just give them the extra edge to survive the harsh path ahead. However, sacrifices had to be made to reach this point. Jaheira and Khalid's departures were mentioned. But there was also the irresolvable dispute between Minsc and Edwin concerning Dynaheir. Not going into much detail, let's just say she suffered an unfortunate accident, being mauled to death just moments after her rescue, by a pack of rabid gnolls.
Aside from the gender ogre mishap, which nearly put Alex on life support, the systematic and pragmatic approach by which he led his party ensured a clean sweep of a vast number of areas thus far. The only unfortunate bastard was Edwin, who might be better off purchasing a lifetime membership at the Temple of Lathander when it comes to ressurections.
A few highlights were the battle with the evil priest Basileus. Luckily, Alex was cunning enough to manipulate Basil into killing all his undead minions, otherwise the balance of power might have been drastically shifted. But alas, even though Alex was Held the entire fight, the other five companions he so carefully drafted, proved their quality and worth.
After that, some more bandit fights followed. Some gibberlings and other lesser creatures also fell in numbers, under Alex & Co's steadily growing strength.
But then, this happened.. A lonely paladin woman in the woods requested the party's help. Her plea, assist in dispatching a pack of gibberlings. One might expect maybe a dozen of the little buggers to show up. But certainly not THIS:

Panic ensued, especially since Edwin, the sole mage, didn't have acces to area of effect damage spells yet. However, he did have a couple of Sleeps and Horrors at hand. Which proved to be providential. Also, if the fight started with the team having about two dozen potions in their inventory, it ended with maybe a couple left.

I guess sometimes, quantity can be just as difficult to overcome as quality. But Alex's story fortunately did not end here. And what a pathetic ending that would have been..
Now it's off to the Nashkel Mines for some Kobold Genocide!
