@Silverstar, SCS Cloakwood looks very interesting. I play vanilla BG but I might give SCS a shot soon.
The continued adventures of Chigurh...

Mulahey died.

Nimbul died.

Tranzig died.
The Bandit Camp was cleared. Mutamin went down.

The party outside of Cloakwood: dead.

Davaeorn: dead. He managed to get a through-the-wall-cheeseball lightening bolt off on Vic.
We then headed to BG. And cleared the Dopplegangers from the Seven Seas.

I can't believe I was actually worried about these chumps. This fight wasn't as clean as I would have liked, however. Chigurh kept having LOS issues with the columns and as a result spent half the fight down in the Stinking Cloud. It was fine in the end, though.
THEN.
Sadness.
We headed to Candlekeep and soon found ourselves in the catacombs beneath the library. I had been debating since last night whether I wanted to go after the tomes or just keep moving through the game. Bear in mind that I don't have any means of disarming traps. I do, however, know where most of them are. I decided to just go for it.
Stupid decision.
We used brute force disarming by way of sending Kagain ahead to trigger them all then come back for heals. This worked fine for the first two tombs. But then I learned a lesson I will never forget:

I guess the lightening trap (traps?) in this area continue to fire until disarmed. First Kagain went down. That hurt but I felt confident I could make it out of the catacombs without him. I grabbed his stuff and then BAM! Lightening bolts were everywhere and Chigurh was down in seconds.
Bummer.
All in all, I feel good about the run. It was far and away the furthest I have made it into a no-reload run. I'm mainly just disappointed that I lost trying to get those stupid tomes. They really weren't important as I probably never would have taken this character to BG2 (I've yet to actually play that game) However, I have that RPG-nerd, completionist streak that compels me to go where the loot is. Argh.
Oh well.
