I started a new playthrough, this time with a party of druids. Idea is to have every possible kind of druid, but since  I decided to play unmodded game, I’ll start with 4 pure druids, fighter/druid and a fighter that will duall to druid at level 3. Here are the character sheets:

Atavrksha, bhaalspawned pure druid

Posted Image

Ashoka (named after a tree, not the king), fighter/druid

Posted Image

Druma, fighter, will dual to druid on 3

Posted Image

Cuta, pure druid, will become totemic druid if she survive

Posted Image

Vrk, pure druid, shapeshifter if survive

Posted Image

Raudra, pure druid, avenger if survive

BALANCE AND BLOODSHED: A DRUID'S TALE

Chapter I
in which our brave druids are introduced, their mentor is killed and their quest for balance in all things begins

Beyond the walls of Candlekeep lived a group of young men and women, obsessed with an idea of becoming a druid. Since they have never seen the outside world their views of druidship were derived from books they read at Candlekeep’s great library. Concepts which they developed were extremely different. Atavrksha, group’s natural leader, thought that death is a natural state of things and life is a distortion of a natural balance. In her opinion druid should restore balance by killing as much as possible. Raudra was always telling her that her obsession with murder clouds her reasoning. Being a druid, he states, is avenging the harm done to nature by selfish and inconsiderate behaviour of this earth’s creatures. Especially the squirrels. Their food hoarding habits are a serious threat to nature’s balance, not to mention that waving of their crests is evidenced to effect in soil retrogression and degradation. His views might have something to do with the fact that he have been biiten by a squirrel when he was a little child. Cuta completely disagrees with both Atavrkhsa and Raudra. She believes that with the recent iron shortage druids should more concerned with restoring the balance of the Sword Coast economy. Vrk doesn’t care much about the concept of balance. He thinks that being a druid is all about running through the woods in wolf’s skin. Druma isn’t so much into this “druid stuff”, as she calls it, but her friends are doing their best to convince her to join their circle. She is willing to, because she “always liked trees”. Ashoka laughs at his friends’ ideas, but never voiced an opinion of his own. He prefers to spend more time at Candlekeep’s inn, drinking himself to death, rather then reading books at the library. When asked “How can a druid behave like that?”, he smiled gloomily and answered: “Why, it’s a natural reaction to the world that surrounds me”.

They were all very exited when their mentor, Gorion, announced they are going for a trip. Even Ashoka seemed to be less bitter. Atavrksha decided that they have to buy some weapons: slings for all, except those with low strenght who got darts (her and Vrk). Also some melee weapons: daggers, short sword for Druma and a spear for Vrk. Then they bought helms, shelds and armors for all. Meanwhile, Ashoka got completely drunk. They departed from Candlekeep soon later. They didn't get far when they were ambushed. Our druids couldn’t find courage to fight. They hid in nearby bushes and watched how Gorion was cut down by a mysterious armored figure. Atavrksha was glad the old man could find his balance in death, but swore to return the favour to the armored man nevertheless.

At dawn our druids burried Gorion and begun their journey, intend on restoring balance to the world. First step in their quest was bringing balance to a diseased gibberling with a volley of bullets. They contemplated the body for as moment. The gibberling looked very peaceful indeed, much more then when he was alive. Atavriksha's friends had to agree that her thought have some merit.

Posted Image

Some time later, they encountered a very unbalanced wolf. Restoring the balance included not only shooting, but also an Entangle spell. Vrk, great fan of wolves, refused to take part in the battle. Travelling east, they met a woodsmen, who stated that there is an ogre nearby. Party decided to seek him out and help him in finding his balance. On their way they encountered a dire wolf. The beast was so frightening that even Vrk joined his friends in shooting. Fortunately, wolf was entangled just in time.

Posted Image

When he was peacefully lying on the ground, party proceeded and spied the ogre. Everyone cast Entagle (except for Druma, naturally), and started shooting. Meanwhile, a few xvarts attacked them from the south, but Druma upheld the balance with her short sword. Cuta insisted that they should loot the bodies. Her friends wasn’t really looking forward to carry those short swords in their packs, but she explained that selling them in Beregost will help in restoring economic balance of the region. So, to the Beregost they went.

Nice story, Blackmalkin. Just curious, but Blackmalkin are you vanilla BG 1 for the entangle effect? The vanilla BG 1 entangle is far superior to the BG 2 entangle, with it only affecting enemies, not to mention you can actually see what's going on! BG 2 entangle covers ups it targets too much.

Coremonk the level 6 monk continues his adventure...

Coremonk's party finally dealt with Bassilus. Thanks to web and call lightning, he was not a threat at all. After selling, we had some things for our "base" (a chest at the carnival), so headed there -- we found two ogre berserkers, who were duly slain. This got Imoen to level 6! We immediately dualed her to mage. It was handy being in this area, as we can use the merchants here to get her equipped as well as put all her thief equipment in our chest here. We also bought the amulet of protection for Imoen.

Dynaheir has the frost wand equipped, so Imoen equipped the fireball wand. We headed back to the Bassilus map to get more experience and encountered some mean looking hobgoblins. Coremonk realizes now that we did overkill - Dynaheir cast web, Jaheira call lightning, and Imoen was supposed to fireball via wand - but forgot it was in agnazer's mode (to deal with an ogre ambush on the way back here) - this worked fine though, as Imoen moved up, got all 3 hobgoblins in its effect and they were all slain! Minsc got poisoned so he duly chased after the now dead hobgoblins and got webbed. Dynaheir and Jaheira worked on getting him unpoisoned.
Posted Image

We tried to rescue Melicamp, but Thalantyr failed to restore him. At this point, our money is pretty good, so we traveled to Ulgoth's Beard and got the cloak of displacement for Coremonk. We also got the greenstone amulet for Minsc, thinking of what we deal with the sirines. Thanks to our high rep, we could afford one more thing, so got a wand of heavens for Jaheira, handy for ambushes.

We wanted to hit firewine bridge, but it wasn't on our map, so we went to Gullykin first and had a "talk" with Molkar. Molkar did a lot of bragging, but he overestimated his chances. Jaheira did call lightning, Dynaheir web and Imoen web via scroll - this initial attack was devastating, one guy managed to avoid all of this, but that just meant the party concentrated fire and took him down first. The rest were taken down by our darts and slings without any trouble.
Posted Image

We still had loot space so headed to firewine bridge next. We had a little talk with Melium - the plan was to use hold person scroll on Melium but he saved - he did NOT save vs. blindness, however. This meant his death was now certain...

We did NOT mess with Karhk - when we tried Belgarath's challenge, he ended our run -- I don't have a powerful dispel magic, which really does help a lot to deal with him. So we left the area and sold our junk.

We decided now that the two frontliners are using shield and both have full plate, we should be able do the ankheg map. I was right, we did fairly well here. Minsc did get hurt bad one time, but we healed him up in time. The weaker party members never even got targeted. This area also got Coremonk to level 6. His fists are now 2 attacks per round and can each deal 10 damage each attack. Not bad, but his AC is 1, so still have to be choosy when to use his melee, he still slings in most cases. He often melees in ambushes, however and does well in that role.

Having two arcane in the party is fun so far, I like the group (Minsc, Khalid, Jaheira, Imoen (dualed) and Dynaheir).

There are many reasons I prefer to play unmodded game, but that wasn't one of them. The main reason is that I didn't want to play with SCS and playing TuTu without it (or some other difficulty increasing mod) seems like cheating. I could refrain myself from using BG 2 spells, but it would be absurd to use BG 2 kits and not use their special features at all. And I generally like the original game for not having it's mood spoiled by changed graphics. I'm especially concerned with lack of flaming sword graphic in BG 2, as I'm going to use Flame Blade spell extensively. As for the Entangle spell, I was rather surprised by how it works (and how incredibly useful it is). I never used this spell much in BG, but I used it a lot in Icewind Dale when I was playing a party of 4 druids and there it worked as in BG 2.

There are several components in 1PP which can restore the flaming sword graphics to BG2.

You can try Infinity Animations mod with EasyTuTu  (Restored BG1 Character Animations component) from here and you'll have all original BG1 graphics (character's avatars, flame swords etc.) on BG2 engine (resolutions,  movement speed, kits etc.).

BALANCE AND BLOODSHED: A DRUID'S TALE

Chapter II
in which our druids learn that balance restoration is not always appreciated, but monetary donations are

Atavrksha and her friends reached Beregost without any problems. Once there, they helped the local market by exchanging their short swords and few other goods for darts and missiles. Then they went to rest at Feldepost’s Inn, where they were harassed by an angry peasant. It was clear that this town could use some balance. Atavrksha decided to start with a despicable glutton called Algernon, that was staying with then at the inn. Vrk took the men’s cloak and it was soon obvious that it is magical – now he was able to get even better discounts at shops then usual. A pity he couldn’t lower the price of drinks that Ashoka kept gulping. At least Cuta managed to convince him to drink only the cheapest bear. “Doesn’t matter what I drink, so long as it has some alcohol in it” he admitted.

Unfortunately, Beregost’s inhabitants wasn’t happy with party’s attempts at balance restoration. In fact, they had only brought scorn upon them. Atavrksha tried convincing the inkeeper that they did what they did for Algernon’s own good, but her words fell on deaf ears – the innkeeper threatened to call the guards if they don’t leave. Cuta saw a chance here – she was sure that her way of bringing the balance would help party’s reputation. And it did. When they donated some money to the Beregost’s main financial institution (called “Song of the Morning Temple”) people seemed to have completely forgotten their bloody deed. Nevertheless,  Atavrksha decided to bring the balance restoring activities outside of town. People seem to value balance more if it happens to others, preferably far away. Balancing two ogrillons on the road leading south was certainly appreciated by Marianne, who rewarded the druids with a ring. Ashoka is sure that it is magical and wearing it helps him in avoiding enemy blows, but who would trust such a drunkard. Party returned to the wilderness to bring balance to hobgobhlins and gibberlings. Suddenly a terrible cry have startled Atavrksha: “Die, squirrel, die!”. When she turned she saw a squirrel with skull shatterred by Raudra’s missile. Party soon grew accustomed to such outbursts. Atavrksha even helped when Raudra had troubles with hitting one of the furry beasts. It was her first personal success in balance restoring.

Posted Image

Then brave druids were attacked by obviously unbalanced Flaming Fist mercenary. Ashoka was glad to equip his plate mail and a decorated helm. When they returned to Beregost, they sold the loot and again donated some money to the temple. The discovered that Cuta had it right. It really helped in improving local economy – they noticed that item prices have dropped significantly. While exploring the town they noticed that some nobleman had a wand of lightning stashed in a drawer. All the druids agreed that it is a serious threat to balance and decided to take the staff to the mage that was rumored to live west of town. On their way to his abode they balanced a group of gnolls. One of them carried a short sword with a name “Perdue” engraved on it. Mage paid a decent sum of money for the wand. Once back in town party enquired a bit and found out that Perdue is a halfling that spends most of his time at the Red Sheaf inn. They went there to return the sword to it’s owner. As soon as they entered the inn, a dwarf rushed at them and attempted to kill them. For money, as he himself have admitted. Multiple Entangle spells helped him found his balance in death. From the scroll found in his belongings party learned that someone have put a price on their heads. I would appear that their quest for balance have have won them more enemies then they could have suspected.

Coremonk the level 6 monk continues his adventure...

Coremonk's party has made great progress. The southern areas are pretty much explorered. Time to do the top half of the sword coast. We are very close to affording the robe of the good arch-magi...

While we encountered a number of enemy groups on our travels, the enemy groups don't do well. With web, entangle, call lightning, and fireballs. Recently Imoen leveled to 5, so we can even do hold persons now, despite not having a cleric.

A really good example is our battle with the Amazon Assassins. First round was entangle/web/web, and the ranged attackers opened fire. Second round was fireball via wand, fireball via spell and Jaheira tried to do a call lightning, there was only one surviving amazon - and the call lightning duly finished her. Note I did NOT attack from the fog of war, we just walked right into their visual range and opened fire.
Posted Image

Fun group so far. Coremonk still using his sling - he still only melees in ambushes. I'm waiting for either a little more HP, more AC, or both. :) By the way Gate70, barkskin does help, but raises AC by only 1 at the moment. Party is resting outside FAI, considering our next move.

Party Status:
Minsc: level 6 ranger, 43 HP
Khalid: level 6 fighter, 65 HP
Coremonk, level 6 monk, 45 HP
Jaheira, level 5 fighter/level 6 druid, 44 HP
Imoen, level 6 thief (inactive)/level 5 mage, 34 HP
Dynaheir, level 6 mage, 26 HP

Minsc is currently leading the way with 27% of all the party's kills, with Khalid close behind with 23% of all kills.

Thought it might, be interesting to see if the monk AC improvements vary to barkskin as the classes level up. Isn't there a saving throw bonus for barkskin too? The spirit armour is also worth trying, I intended using these with a kensai who'd have more to gain than a monk.

Yes spirit armor looks promising, dont' have yet, don't think I even have access to such until I can get to city of Baldur's Gate. There is a saving throw bonus to barkskin, I use it if in tough fight. But so far, 2x web, call lightning and a fireball have been able to sort out all our "tough" opposition, so it hasn't been critical as yet. And agree, the Kensai has much more to gain from the help of spirit armor or barkskin.

Coremonk the level 7 monks continues his adventure...

Coremonk's party has explored almost the entire Sword Coast, other than TotSC areas, so it was time to do some basilisk hunting. When we got to the basilisk area, we first moved into the center of the area, and met an adventuring party that insulted us one time too many. As has been the pattern ever since Imoen became a mage, the enemy party proved completely inadequate for the their "task" of defeating us.

We did 2x web, call lightining, a fireball and hold person as far as spells. Then simple ranged fire finished them. You can see the party having "fun" below.
Posted Image

As for the basilsiks, we gave Minsc the honor. Coremonk could have done it, but there are other non-basilisk enemies like bears on the map, and Minsc with his heavy armor and bow are better suited for that. Minsc has been using the two hand sword +1 for a long time now, primarily so he can also wield a bow at the same time. He's our only bow user. Imoen will be a bow user too, but not until she gets her thief abilities back, which isn't until level 7 (she's a few thousand experience short of level 6 right now).

As for tactics, Minsc used the protection from petrification scroll (green scroll) for the basilisks. He used a potion of explosion, greenstone amulet and arrows of biting vs. Mutamin (the mage with basilisk friends). The rest were just trash enemies, no problem for Minsc at this stage of the game. The only level up in the area was Coremonk to level 7.

Since the rest of the areas are explored, it was time to head into the Cloakwood. For the first area, we sided against Aldeth. This allowed us to obtain our 2nd magical bastard sword, which Khalid duly equipped. Now that he has two magical weapons, he is dual-wielding again.

The party is currently on the spider map. The plan is send khalid with AI off, invisible (via spell) and have him trigger all the traps. Then he will return and the party will fight all the enemies on the map. It's unclear whether Imoen can regain her thief abilities before we reach the Cloakwood Mine. Therefore, we will do all the experience that we can (including fighting all the ambushes).

Coremonk the level 7 monk continues his adventure...

The party battles their way through the cloakwood. The party dealt with all enemies, including ambushes, very well. No one died. Eventually, it was time to deal with Drassus and his goons. As been our wont, we walked right into visual range of the enemies and commenced the fun. We opened with 2x web and call lightning, followed up by fireball and hold person. The enemies got maybe a couple hits in, before all the enemies fell. The enemy mages couldn't cast anything due to our pressure.
Posted Image

Imoen did NOT regain her thief abilities (still about 10,000 experience short). So we took the ghast passageway to battle Heirashan and her goons from behind. Our only prep was protection from lightning on both Minsc and Khalid. Minsc and Khalid showed themselves first, then the party assisted. The party soon moved up and fired off web on the enemy archers and then concentrated fire on Heirashan herself. She did a little damage to Minsc, gulping a heal potion wasn't enough, so Coremonk and Jaheira moved up to heal him, while Khalid kept the enemies busy. About this time, two guys started attacking Imoen from behind. Jaheira moved into melee range with her dagger, while the magic users unloaded on the two ambushers. Took the ladies a while, but they eventually got the ambushers.
Posted Image

Natasha had a chance to lightning bolt the party. When we saw her, unloaded with absolutely everything we had. She did survive a round. Somewhat luckily, some ranged attacks managed to hit her despite her mirror image, which disrupted her spells. Minsc took down the ogre mage with a magic protection potion.
Posted Image

We got to the bottom level, and Imoen still can't detrap for us. We are just absolutely full inventory. If someone dies to a battle horror that would be a disaster. So we walked back the way we came, headed to FAI to sell and obtain more ammo and came back. I configured the magic users for maximum damage potential, such as magic missiles. We managed to kill both battle horrors without any deaths.

For Davaeorn himself, we buffed Minsc to the max, then he battled Davaoern by himself, with the party well out of the way. I did a new buff that I have never done before for this battle - Improved Invisibility. This was just devastating, as after a few dimension doors, Davaeorn just tried to melee, since he couldn't cast any spells at Minsc. Needless to say, Minsc melee much better than Davaeorn's.
Posted Image

Minsc berserked, which allowed him to open a few chests that we probably couldn't have otherwise opened.

Coremonk the level 7 monk continues his adventure...

So the party finally made it to the City of Baldur's Gate. The party handled the quests and battles here very well, but there were some incidents of note:
* The jellies at Razamith's place just clobbered Coremonk in a single hit (like 20% life or less), Coremonk ran and let Khalid help Minsc instead, though Coremonk did help with the ghasts since he had a free action ring.
* I was suprised at the outcome of doing the quest to get the skyship parts. I reported my success, only for the entire guild to go hostile on me. I had to slaughter everyone - this wasn't much a big deal, except we had to slaughter Lily, so now we can't buy from her. Too bad, she had some stuff we probably would have obtained if she was still around. Apparently I need to do Narlen's quest first, apparently.
* I didn't bother with the mage with all those defenders (battle horrors, invisible stalkers, etc.). It was just an unnecessary risk. Also, Imoen pickpocketed Quenash for us, so now that we got the Cloak of Balduran fighting there is unnecessary.
* Interesting battle with the Mountain Maulers. As usual we did 2x web, then used magic/ranged fire on the remaining enemies, as well as wand of heavens from Jaheira. For some odd reason, the leader of the Mountain Maulers ignored the party and attacked Gorpel Hind first, even though he was still at the bar. Gorpel ended up getting killed as well as one of his groupmates, despite Coremonk and Minsc trying to beat him down. Nevertheless, the battle well as you can see.
Posted Image

Now that the City quests are finished, it's time for the main event, the 5th floor of the Iron Throne. I decided to fight them "fair" - that is, I didn't slaughter them with arrows of detonation, but just buffed and went upstairs with the whole party and battled straight up. The most important buffs would probably be MGoI on Dynaheir and scroll of magic protection on Coremonk.

We opened up with 2x web, entangle. Minsc charged the enemy lines and activated berserk. Coremonk slinged. Khalid charged too, but then I remembered he didn't have any free action, so he meleed Gardush instead since he was the only enemy outside our webs.
Posted Image

Next round Dynaheir and Imoen did web and emotion respectively. Jaheira used her wand of heavens throughout the battle. The mage users concentrated fire on Gardush, he was the first to fall.
Posted Image
After Gardush died, Khalid just stood around in reserve, as the webs were still going off, not to mention he doesn't have a range weapon. He has been using darts, but I didn't notice he was out of them.

Minsc then targeted Alai, Coremonk kept slinging Vhalidmar, and the mages support Minsc. Minsc was getting great hits in, and he slew Alai.
Posted Image

Next to fall was Naaman. While Dynaheir gets the credit for the kill with her flame arrow, Jaheira had did a wand of heavens just a moment ago, so Jaheira probably did more damage.
Posted Image

Since the webs and entangles were still going off, Minsc is still the only one in melee. He is immune to the holds thanks to the Spider's Bane. He continues to be a juggernaut of destruction and slays Diyab.
Posted Image

A moment later, Imoen slays Zhailmar Cloudwulfe with Marek's short bow - she was all ranged by this point, as she had emptied her spell book of useful spells.
Posted Image

Aasim is the only one left. The party ranges, while Minsc keeps swiing his sword. Khalid continues taking it easy by the stairs, and Aasim can do nothing.
Posted Image

We went to our "base" in the carnival (a chest), got rid of stuff we didn't need for Candlkeep, then came back to talk to Duke Eltan. We will be in Candlekeep next update.

Thanks Grond0. We just got out of Candlekeep Crypts. Almost uneventful, except Minsc got killed fighting Prat's group. We did the battle with no buffs, but should have given Minsc a few buffs first. He went berserk then attacked while Imoen and Dynaheir laid down 3 webs and emotion. The final enemy killed the Minsc the same round Minsc killed that enemy...
Posted Image

Jaheira and Khalid took down the spiders with their free action rings and protection from poison scrolls. Coremonk to level 8 here, as well as Imoen. Glad for Imoen's level especially, as now she can cast greater malison, that could be real handy against Sarevok. Dynaheir can't cast greater malison, it's an opposing spell school for her.

Coremonk the level 8 monk - FINAL BG 1 update

Grrr...I wrote a somewhat long post but my laptop overheated and I lost it. Here we go again...

The party did well in the city of Baldur's Gate. Concentrated fire was enough for Slythe (we left Krystin to play with our summons while we left the Undercellar). As for Cythrandria, we used web which was mostly effective against the ogre berserkers. She managed to confuse the entire party but the husband/wife pair (Khalid/Jaheira). While the party wandered around, the husband/wife pair managed to slay Cythrandria before she could slay Khalid, though Khalid did end up with very low health.

As for the duchal palace fight, just strength potions on our two front-liners, then malison and emotion and concentrated fire was enough to save Belt - we couldn't save Lia though.
Posted Image

Next major battle was the Uncercity Iron Throne party. The plan was for Minsc to try to draw out the enemy arrows of detonation with him being 100% immune to fire, then return to the party so we could web and malison and emotion the enemies. This worked, but would have worked far better if Coremonk lent his free-action ring to Khalid, as Khalid spent most of the battle stuck in our webs and taking a pummeling from the enemy mage.
Posted ImagePosted Image

We rested, and entered the Temple of Bhaal. Here is our deployment and buffs, if interested.

The plan? Khalid dons a protection from magic scroll, lures the enemies and runs in the circle in the center, purposely setting off the traps. The party then puts down things like entangle, web, malison and emotion, then supports with range and single target magic damage. For once, I even used the wand of lightning on Angelo a few times (I almost never use this wand).

As the enemy melees got stuck, our first target was Semaj - despite his protections, it wasn't enough to keep him alive.
Posted Image

About this time, Tazok broke out of his webs and charged Khalid. Khalid was getting hurt, so he just stood his ground and the party supported him by targeting Tazok with wand of heavens and such. Tazok could not take this assault and fell.
Posted Image

Sarevok was still stuck in his webs, so the party next targeted Angelo, while Khalid got into melee range to disrupt his ranged attacks. Somewhat fittingly, Khalid got revenge for those arrows of detonation shot his way and finished Angelo in direct combat.
Posted Image

Time to deal with our "brother". Khalid just stood by our lnes, in case Sarevok broke out of the webs. Meanwhile everyone else supported with ranged fire or magical direct damage. Coremonk has been slinging the entire battle with bullets +2. He's using an "excellent" sling -- he couldn't buy the one from Lily since the thieve's guild went hostile in our run. In case, after maybe 3-4 rounds Dynaheir got the killing blow with her magic missiles.

Success! Coremonk will be moving onto BG 2. I'm not sure who the MVP of the party is, as everyone but Coremonk did great support for the team. However, our MVS (most valuable spell) this run is web, without a shadow of a doubt. Web allowed us to always walk into plain view of enemy parties without fearing their reprisals, it was never necessary to battle from the fog of war.

Final Standings:
Minsc - level 7 ranger, 57 HP
Khalid - level 8 fighter, 83 HP
Coremonk - level 8 monk, 60 HP
Jaheira - level 7 fighter/level 8 druid, 64 HP
Imoen - level 6 thief/levle 8 mage, 49 HP
Dynaheir - level 8 invoker, 37 HP

Most Deadly Award - Minsc, 30% of all party kills, 637 kills
This has been one of my few group runs without an archer. In a melee heay group an archer is a must, but with 2 arcane party members, it wasn't necessary.

Well done Corey. A nice set of screenshots for the final battle as well.

Thanks Grond0. It was a fun run, but I wish my PC was able to contribute more. His AC was never good enough to tank (by "tank" I mean focus of all enemies -- he could solo many individual enemies), and was always vulnerable to concentrated fire by enemies. Detman (my paladin) was far more powerful in BG 1. Looking forward to a more effective PC in BG 2. But even in BG 2, Coremonk dropped to 1/2 health when fighting goblins in a single round. He still needs a "tank" to be the main target while Coremonk supports the tank.

Coremonk will only get 1 APR with the sling, but you are right that would be excellent range weapon for him with his 19 STR and 19 DEX. But yeah, if it's safe enough he will melee and if not sling of seeking sounds like a good choice.
