@Serg - a good story and you enjoyed it as well.  What could be betterPosted Image.

Final update for Geisho

Not a lot of further action really.  In the city he picked up the tome of dexterity and bopped Ramazith over the head to get his tome of intelligence.  Started the poison quest to get the tome of wisdom without having to kill the cleric, but didn't bother finishing it as the game would be over before the poison reaches a lethal dose.  Also picked up the Helm of Balduran just in case that becomes of use later in BG2.

In preparation to investigate the Iron Throne Geisho wanted to rest while invisible.  The guards kept coming (37 of them in total), but he kept trying - and finally success!  After casing the joint he was sent on his way to Candlekeep.  A scroll of magic protection and potion of storm giant strength allowed him to loot the tombs and a potion of invisibility saw him safely out (didn't take on Prat for his throwing axe as he's not using missile weapons).

Back in the city a potion of invulnerability and a couple of other elixirs proved too much for Slythe.  Krystin then helped out as usual to make the Cloak of Balduran available.  With buffs still running Geisho made his way to the palace.  There were no risks taken here, with the downstairs area becoming a graveyard for all 6 greater dopplegangers - though the angry guards were left unmolested.

Geisho ran through the maze protected by scroll of magic protection.  He was visible, but none of the enemies were able to successfully target him.  He took the long way round to avoid the Undercity party.  Here's the equipment carried into the final battle - most of which was not used.

As usual there was an initial assault on Angelo, as the only one of the 4 with any realistic chance of doing damage.  Geisho retreated before Angelo was quite dead (swigging a regeneration potion to add to his buffs), but turned round a few seconds later and finished him off with one more blow.  With the web trap triggered Geisho ran around inside it hoping for enemies to get stuck.  He also tried moving so that Semaj's lightning bolts intersected Tazok's path, but never managed to do any damage like that.  Tazok and Sarevok both did get stuck briefly allowing Geisho to get in a couple of swift blows to hasten Tazok's end.  Some more running round and occasionally waving his stick in Semaj's face produced another victim and left Sarevok on his own.  He was helpless against Geisho's fast weapon speed and never managed even an attack on his own as he was worn down and eventually forced to surrender.

Before reporting back to the palace Geisho picked up the last tome from Durlag's Tower and purchased the Horn and Claw of Kazgoroth for potential use in BG2.  Here is his final character record.

Alright, after looking at  BG:EE, and seeing that there was a romancible half-elven wild mage. I have been motivated to come back, except this time, I'm obviously going to try my hand at no reloads again. I also had a very awesome idea for a dual-wield dagger rogue. So here she is.

Posted Image
Name: Shana
Race: Human
class: Assassin
Alignment: True Neutral
Weapon Proficiencies: * Two-Weapon style, * Daggers.
Stats and Thief Skills are shown in the screenshot.
Difficulty: Core Rules
Mods pertinent to BG1: ToBEx, BG2Fixpack, BGT, BG1NPC, Ajantis Modification, Xan friendship, Coran Friendship, Item Revisions, Spell Revisions, SCS, SCSII, BGUB, Song and Silence, Divine Remix,
Rogue Rebalancing, Wizard Slayer Revision, aTweaks, BGTTweaks, BG2Tweaks, Item Pack, 1PP, NSC Portraits, Enkida's Portraits, Level1NPCs, BP-BGT Worldmap, Map names, and W_Gui.

Good luck, and have fun everyone else.

BALANCE AND BLOODSHED: A DRUID’S TALE

Chapter VIII
in which the blood is shed and balance restored

Druids readied their weapons and spells and entered the labyrinth. A few slimy creatures slowed their progress but not for long. Doom guards quickly fell to the power of the wand of heavens, skeletons warriors to the Flame Blades. Traps could not stop the druids protected from both fire and lightning. A few arrows and Magic Missiles did hurt Ashoka but it wasn’t something that a right spell couldn’t cure. Finally they reached the end of the labyrinth, where they found the mage that teleported Sarevok from the palace. They didn’t care to listen to his excuses and balanced him all over the wall.

Beyond the labyrinth they found an underground city, or rather what was left of it. Above the ruins an ominous building stood, looking strangely untouched by time. The druids turned their steps there. Halfway there an armed party blocked their way. More Iron Throne servants, as it soon became clear. They were sent here after Sarevok but in this case common enemy didn’t make friends. Atavrksha charmed their leader and made use of his exploding arrows, while fire-immune Ashoka, Druma and Raudra charged with Flame Blades in hands. Vrk and Cuta summoned some animal support, and then, together with Atavrksha, aided friends from a distance. Raudra suffered many wounds but the druids were victorius and moved forward.

Posted Image

At last they reached the dark building. They took some time to prepare, casting protective spells and drinking potions. Finally they entered. As expected, Sarevok was waiting inside with his allies. Druids summoned allies of their own and attacked.

Posted Image

First they focused on the mage, Semaj. Before they managed to break through his Mirror Images he confused Vrk and Raudra (the only ones unprotected) with his chaotic magic. Vrk started throwing darts of stunning at his allies, but luckily hit only one of the bears. After some fighting, Semaj’s illusions were gone, but he immidiately recast them. With two druids excluded from the battle, taking out another set of Mirror Images was even harder. And it didn’t help since he recast them for the third time. Cuta decided to increase the feriocity of her attack and shapeshifted into a bear.

Posted Image

It worked and Semaj was finally balanced. But Cuta nearly shared his fate, as Sarevok and his half-ogre companion, Tazok, cut their way through the summoned animals. She shapeshifted back into a human and escaped. The last of Sarevok’s aides, Angelo, didn’t join the fight thanks to a Stinking Cloud which put him to sleep.

Posted Image

Confused Vrk wandered into the same cloud and also lost consciousness. Raudra was standing still until suddenly he shouted “Die squirrel, die!” and run into a corner. He must have activated some trap as a battle horror appeared out of nowhere and joined the main battle. Druma was severly wounded by Sarevok’s sword and had to retreat, leaving only the summoned animals (which Atavrksha kept summoning) to engage the enemy. Unfortunately, Sarevok lost his interest in fighting wild dogs. While Druma was summoning a Flame Blade (she was to busy to that earlier) and Cuta with Ashoka were casting healing spells, he went after Raudra.

Posted Image

Sarevok was mercilessly hacking at helpless Raudra, but Druma was already charging with her flaming sword. She attacked Sarevok to gain his attention, but he chose to ignore her. He took a terrible swing and dealt a final blow which torn Raudra in half.

Posted Image

Druma screamed and hacked at Sarevok furiously. But Atavrksha remained focused and shouted:
“Finish the ogre!”
Druma turned her fury on Tazok and balanced him with a few hits. The battle horror luckily went away to chase a panicked dog.

Posted Image

Only Sarevok remained. Four druids attacked, all with Flame Blades in hands.

Posted Image

Once he had Atavrksha in sight, Sarevok focused his swings on her, easily breaking through her defenses. But he wasn’t fast enough. Cuta’s sword dealt a blow which finally brought him to his knees.

Posted Image

The battle was over. Sarevok was dead and could threaten the balance no more. It might have just been a reflecion of the flaming sword, but the fire in Atavrksha’s eyes seemed to tell that he wasn't not the last one to pay for Raudra’s death.

A note from the author:

I didn’t expect a difficult fight. In fact, I was rather afraid that Sarevok will perish too soon. But it would have been much easier and Raudra wouldn’t have died if I hadn't made a mistake with potion distribution. Among others, I had 4 potions of magic shielding, 2 potions of freedom and 2 potions of clarity. Enough to protect everyone from Chaos and Web, but, obviously, I must have confused something. I guess I should have drunk a potion of clarity myself. But I also didn’t expect Semaj to be so resilient. I had no idea he can use this Tatoo of Power more then once. Probably because I’m used to killing him quickly with help of arrows of dispelling.

I should also mention that I was surprised by the power of the Flame Blade. I knew I will be using it a lot because it “looks cool”, but didn’t know that it’s also very effective. I has a +4 THAC0 bonus (which isn’t mentioned in spell description) and also receives all modifiers from strength and short sword proficiency points (Druma had 3). Fire damage is quite good – 1d4 and unlike most non-physical damage in BG isn’t considered magical. It’s better then Drizzt’s scimitars. The only weakness is that it doesn't count as a magical weapon, though the fire damage is always applied. Unfortunately, most of the above is not true in BG 2 (Flame Blade doesn’t even look good there).

Final party status (just before the last battle):
Atavrksha – druid 9, 72 HP, fav. spell: Cure Light Wounds, 97 kills (battle horror)
Ashoka – fighter 6/druid 7, 77 HP (with Helm of Balduran), fav. spell: Flame Blade, 331 kills (greater basilisk)
Druma – fighter 3/druid 9, 70 HP, fav. spell: Flame Blade, 309 kills (greater basilisk)
Cuta – druid 9, 71 HP, fav. spell: Entangle, 108 kills (greater basilisk)
Vrk – druid 9, 53 HP, fav. spell: Entangle, 70 kills (sirine)
Raudra – druid 9, 58 HP, fav. spell: Entangle, 154 kills (battle squirrel)

Epilogue:

Angelo woke up on a cold floor, surrounded by green vapors. He lifted to his knees and examined his surroundings. Bodies of animals were scattered everywhere. On the other side of the temple four druids were standing victorious next to the body of Sarevok. But Angelo didn’t give up. He raised his bow and aimed carefully. Just when he was about to release the arrow Cuta turned around. Before Angelo could blink she threw a Good Berry right between his eyes. He didn’t even feel it – death was instantaneous.

Congratulations Serg, Grond0, Blackmalkin. & good luck SapphireIce.

re the potions Blackmalkin. I order mine left to right in glugging order for key fights (such as Iron Throne HQ & Sarevok), especially when in a party. Much easier than keeping track of who gulps what next, even if it means using the inventory ahead of quick slots.

Good job Blackmalkin!

Out of Candlekeep, and already on the road to Nashkel.

Major Battle: Tarnesh
Tactics: Imoen used Wand of Magic Missile, which caused Tarnesh to flee into the inn. The first thing that happened once entering the inn was Xzar stabbing Tarnesh with his dagger.

Major Battle:  Silke
Tactics: Imoen used wand of Magic Missile, Khalid used Shatter Magic, and everyone else used regular attacks.

Major Battle: Karlat
Tactics: Imoen used wand of magic missile.

Shana: Assassin - 2
Imoen: Adventurer - 2
Xzar: Necromancer - 1
Jaheira: Fighter/Druid - 1/1

Actually, I did just that, but only after some potions were already drunk, so it was a hasty process.

Adventure is a kit in Song and Silence.

ADVENTURER: The adventurer is a jack-of-all-trades, not so much a thief as a character who takes advantage of general thiefly skills on adventures. An Adventurer is preferred by many adventuring parties, because he is much less likely than other thieves to betray or steal from his own companions. The successful Adventurer knows the value of trust and cooperation, while many a "street thief" has been raised on duplicity and (sometimes literal) backstabbing.
Advantages:
- +5% to Open Locks and Find/Remove Traps every other level
Disadvantages:
- No backstab multiplier

Also, thanks for the well wishes everyone!

And bad news strikes!

On the way to Nashkel, Xzar died to some bandits. Khalid got owned by Shar'teel in the duel, only for Kivan to one-shot her on the next attempt. Then, Shana gets one-shot by a worg! Twelve hit-points in one shot! Ouchies. Time for the next one, I think. Heh.

Fodme the Cleric/Illusionist. Will be a change of pace, the intention is to try the Swiss Army knife approach with spells (only decided this in the penultimate paragraph so a bit of a pattern until then).

Protection from Fear and Shield mean I can try my other spells out on Tarnesh in complete safety. Doom and command work well, blindness and spook are resisted. Eventually the guards spoil my fun and sort him out.

Caldo and Krumm are blind targets. I misjudge the distance to Bassilus but blind him and run away from rigid thinking (saved) into three skeletons. Level 3 turning sends them away, and I return to blind Bassilus. I hold him too, but he survives my hammering and starts casting again so I retreat and silence him before ending his life with bullets.

I make the mistake of adding a journal entry while a neutral Shar Teel watches me fight a xvart. By the time I write three words I am almost dead and flee north. I didn't plan to visit but now I'm here I might as well look around. Ugh, Thayvians. I sleep on it, finally deciding what what buffs to use. He who talks last casts ...last. Brendan is now a lone voice until he turns sleepy. Denak is unable to see the demise of his companions; and when his images expire so does he.

I have to dump my spare bullets and kick the cat out (not going to try the pickpocket self trick) to carry all their gear to a store. Then I realise I may want fire, cold and electric protection on my travels so stash spare robes in a wardrobe instead (the pick chest next to the wagon south of Firebead feels like full height from a gnome perspective).

Time to try out a new spell or two then a ranged attack followed by doom command and melee. I have to toe to toe (nose to knee really) briefly but they're all dead and Bjornin gives me a decent shield to hide behind.

I dump all the spells I've cast before and memorise ones that I haven't cast. Should be fun.

Major Battle: Marl
Tactics: Imoen pulled back after getting nearly killed, and Jaheira healed her with two Light Cure Wounds.
Posted Image

Major Battle: Silke
Tactics: Imoen used her Wand of Magic Missile.

Major Battle: Karlat

Current Party:
Melanari: Bowslinger - 1
Imoen: Adventurer - 1
Jaheira: Fighter/Druid - 1/1
Khalid: Wizard Slayer - 1
Kivan: Archer - 1
Garrick: Blade - 1

Heres the Description for Bowslinger as it is part of Divine Remix..

BOWSLINGER: The Bowslinger is the epitome of elven skill with the bow. If there is a difficult shot to make, he will make it. Whether the target can only be reached by firing through high winds or is totally concealed, the Bow Slinger is confident of his ability to make the shot.
Bowslingers must be elves or half-elves.
Advantages:
- +1 THAC0 and damage with any missile weapon for every three levels of experience, slowing to every five levels once the bowslinger reaches 18th level
- Can achieve high mastery with any ranged weapon
- May use the 'Called Shot' ability once a day per four levels (starting at 4th level). When the bowslinger activates this ability, any shot made within the next 20 seconds gains +1 to both THAC0 and damage for every four levels of experience
- May use the 'Speed Shot' ability once a day per eight levels (starting at 8th level). When the bowslinger activates this ability, he makes one extra attack per round for five rounds
- May cast 'Detect Invisibility' once a day per six levels (starting at 6th level)
Disadvantages:
- Does not gain 'Charm Animal' as an innate ability
- -1 to damage with any melee weapon
- Can only become proficient with long swords, short swords and daggers
- Can not be proficient with any other melee weapon
- Cannot wear any metal armor

@Blackmalkin - It was probably the former, and I'm a very nice person when it comes to Garrick.

Just a quick update.

I'm thinking about doing a no-reload run. I have a few questions though.

I'm using TobEx, so there's no race restrictions on dual/multi class. May I dual class as Elf, or does this conflict with the rules?

I'm planning on using katanas, but I think the first place I can buy them is in Beregost. May I import a katana so I start with one? (Kind of hard to be proficient with katanas if you've never held one)

Well, it obviously is in conflict with the game rules, but I don't think anyone will hold it against you. What is important is including information on all the modifications, so that we know what game are you playing.

As for adding the katana, it seems reasonable, so long as you don't repeat this every time it breaks. They're supposed to be rare weapons, after all. In my game they don't exist at all, so getting one in Candlekeep seems as strange as getting one in Beregost.

I already made some progress with druid party in BG 2, but first I’d like to submit a summary of a solo run I’ve done in the meantime.

The idea was to finish the game (unmodded Baldur’s Gate) without earning any experience along the way. By any means possible, which in this case mostly means abusing the Algernon’s Cloak, as well as selling the “secret” Ring of Wizardry.

So, the character is called Inexperientia. A female elf, equally inexperienced as fighter, mage and a thief, specialized in blunt weapons and bows. Stats: Str 18/00; Dex 19; Con 17; Int 12; Wis 3; Cha 8 (only later I realized that charisma would be more useful then strength and intelligence is completely useless). I invested all of the starting skill points in Hide in Shadows (65%). As starring spells I chose Armor and Protection from Evil. Later I decided I would rather prefer Identify and Charm, but it was a bit too late.

I started traditionally, with robbing the inn. After selling the loot I bought a studded leather armor, helm, composite bow and 3 quivers of arrows. I didn’t really need that bow, especially that I had only one weapon slot and no pause in inventory, but, you know – old habits die hard. Then I failed at robbing Winthrop, escaped outside, acquired 2 healing potions and went away.

I decided not to plan everything and rather improvise as I go. As a result my actions were sometimes very ineffective. First I robbed Imoen, then went north, looted the bodies, then went to Friendly Arm Inn, grabbing and equipping the ring of protection on the way. I used the studded leather only when traveling between areas, inside areas I relied on sneaking. I was ambushed but managed to escape from 2 bandits and a few half-ogres. At the FAI I took the ring, identified it at the temple, sneaked past Tranzig, robbed Khalid and Jaheira (mostly for the invisibility potion) and sold everything I didn’t plan on using (including the bow I bought in Candlekeep).

Then I went north to Ulgoth Beard to buy the staff +3. A mistake – I didn’t plan on using it for anything else then backstabbing Sarevok, and besides, I should have risen my reputation first. But when I realized that I was already past the ankhegs. So I bought the staff, stole the anti-shapeshifter sword, failed at pickpocketing Dushai (skill value: 35%) turned south until I reached Beregost. Robbed the town (mostly for another potion of invisibility, wand of lightnings and bastard sword +1), sold the loot, increased reputation to 18 and went to pickpocket Algernon. I would have to learn Charm spell if pickpocket attempt failed, but I was lucky and succeeded. With the cloak equipped I turned south, forgot about the potions in the cave and sneakily charmed the green hobgoblin. Hid in shadows again and ordered the hobgoblin to get killed by his comapnions. They had some problems with hitting him, and when they did – he panicked. Other hobgoblins joined the party during the chase, I was detected and had to charm another one.  Finally the green one was killed and I could take the Boots of Stealth (Hide in Shadows increased to 100%) without getting my hands dirty.

Then I went to Nashkel mines, sneaked through first 2 levels then charmed 2 kobolds near the first traps. Charming the second one took all of my attention and I forgot about the second trap – 5 damage taken. Sneaked forwards, disarmed the 3 traps (15% Find Traps is enough), sneaked into the cave, charmed Mulahey and got him killed by kobolds (which took a very long time).

Posted Image

Grabbed the loot, leafed through letters to progress to chapter 3, got detected by murderous kobolds, had to run around and charm one of them, finally hid again and went outside (using the same way I entered to minimize the ambush threat).

At Nashkel I charmed Nimbul, moved him a bit and ordered to cast Magic Missiles on himself. He turned hostile and did nothing to prevent the guards from killing him, while I stayed in shadow. I went to carnival, bought the red and violet potions used the red one (or was it violet?) to learn Indentify, sold the loot (keeping the Boots of Avoidance – from now on I use them during area transition), then went north. In Beregost I bought the Shadow Armor, then scrolls of Invisibility and Mirror Image at Thalantyr’s. Went west, got ambushed but there were no range attackers, so no problem. On the coast sneaked past sirines and entered the cave. Cast Mirror Images and went right. The trap didn’t work. I grabbed the loot went around the corner to hide from a golem, then retreated outside. In the end the Mirror Images turned out to be unnecessary, but it felt good to have them while hiding from the golem. The tome increased my HP from 9 to 10. I wanted to use the wolf form for better speed but changed my mind when I noticed that wolf have only 17 dexterity. I kept the wand of paralyzation. In Feldeposte’s Inn I charmed Tranzig and learned the general location of the bandit camp, then went north charmed the ogre, paralyzed him, brought a Xvart to kill him, looted the body and equipped the belt (Girdle of Piercing, that is). Then went to Larswood, sneaked to the bandit leader, got brought to the camp, escaped from Tazok and sneaked inside the main tent. Charmed Ender (who was blocking the way to the chest), gulped the potion of absorption, searched the chest, charmed Venkt and Hakt, ordered Hakt to anger Britik, waited until Britik killed him, took the bow and got away.

Posted Image

Then I went to Ulgoth’s Beard to rob Dushai. After many failures decided to go to Thalantyr and buy a potion of freedom instead. Went to Cloakwood, sneaked through the first area, got ambushed by ettercaps, escaped, used potion of freedom to sneak past the spider area, tried grabbing the sword, but it wasn’t possible (without left clicking and getting detected). Meanwhile the potion of freedom have expired and I still had one web to pass. So I charmed a spider to distract the ettercaps in case I got webbed (I didn’t).

Posted Image

Talked to the druid in the next location to acquire a potion, then sneaked straight to the mines. Got ambushed by wyverns twice. First time I had a feeling that the left wyvern got definitely too close. Second time it got even closer, but still didn’t manage to attack. At the mines I charmed 2 guards to move them out of the way and then Drassus to get him killed by Genthore. I grabbed Drassus’ items and sneaked forwards. From now on I mostly use Boots of Speed, switching to Boots of Stealth to hide in well-lit areas. I sneaked to Davaeorn, charmed his guard, cast Mirror Images (tu survive Skull Trap trap), gulped potion of absorption, triggered the traps, got guard killed by battle horrors (just for fun), then lured them away. Then I used shoot and hide tactic to take care of Davaeorn’s Mirror Images. Then I approached him in such a way that he would kill himself with a Lightning Bolt. The mage was incooperative and started casting some charm spell instead (stopped when I hid). Another try resulted in Dire Charm and a saving throw. I tried a few more times but Davaeorn never tried any evocation spells. Finally he started chasing me with his quarterstaff, so I had to charm him and take advantage of the battle horrors again. Before Davaeorn died I checked his spells. He didn’t have any Lightning Bolts, though he had Fireballs and even Cones of Cold. Now I was glad he didn’t cast any evocation spells.

Posted Image

I grabbed the loot and left the mines. I was ambushed on the way back, but with Boots of Speed it wasn’t a problem. In Baldur’s Gate I started with some essentials from Sorcerous Sundries (like additional invisibility potions and a fire resistance scroll and potion). Then I went to grab the Helm of Balduran, which increased my HP to 15. Then I recalled not talking to Vai, so I went back to Beregost to increase my reputation to 19 (no experience reward here) and went back. On the way I had the dreaded double digit bandit ambush (12? or was it 14?). I didn’t stop to count, just gulped a potion of invisibility and run away. Back in Baldur’s Gate I increased my dexterity to 20 (Hide in Shadows +3%) and spent some time robbing the city. Then I sneaked inside the Iron Throne building, charmed one of the merchants to learn about the Candlekeep meeting. Went to Eltan and got sent home. First time ever I was happy that player is awarded with gold and no experience for that. In Candlekeep I robbed the Inn again, took the cash left by Gorion and got arrested. Then I sneaked through the catacombs (no looting) and caves. On the way to Baldur’s Gate I went south-east to grab the staff of summoning from the crypt (using protection from undead scroll).

And so I managed to reach the final chapter still having 0 experience in each class. But now the hard part of the game started. I had no idea how to win the palace fight without taking credit for killing the doppelgangers, but first I had to worry about getting in. I decided to acquire the Sarevok’s diary and then use the hidden switch to open the palace gates. But before I executed the plan I recalled that I can stack potions of master thievery. So I changed my mind and headed to the Undercellar. Only I forgot that pick pocket attempt results in instant detection even if successful. I did succeed in pickpocketing Slythe, but immediately after that the dialogue started. And immediately after the dialogue Slythe killed me.

But the plan wasn’t all bad. I just had to charm him before pickpocketing. I think I’ll try this again.

@USSNorway - That was the plan. Except, there was no Halberd+1. There was a cursed Katana though. Hah.

@Blackmalkin - Awesome progress, and I didn't know you could charm Davaeorn.

Update Time.

Major Battle: Greywolf
Tactics: Jaheira used Light Cure Wounds on the injured. Khalid tried to stand against Greywolf, but it could only go so far before he went into a morale break, Imoen used her Wand of Magic Missile, and Minsc died.

Major Battle: Caldo and Krumm
Tactics: Everyone attacked regularly, and Melanari leveled up!

Current Party:
Melanari: Bowslinger - 2
Imoen: Adventurer - 3
Jaheira: Fighter/Druid - 1/1
Khalid: Wizard Slayer - 2
Kivan: Archer - 2
Branwen: Battleguard of Tempus - 3

Note: In a battle before Dynaheir. Minsc, Jaheira, and Khalid had died. I couldn't send Dynaheir to FAI regularly, so I lost Minsc in a rather permanent way. So, Minsc and Boo I hope you enjoy your afterlife.

Also heres the description for Battleguard of Tempus:

BATTLEGUARD OF TEMPUS: Tempus is the Realms' god of war, the Lord of Battle, the Foehammer. He is random in his favors, yet his chaotic nature favors all sides equally. He may be on an army's side on one day and against them the next. Such is the nature of war as embodied by Tempus.
The dress of the priest of Tempus is armor, battle-worn and battered. In more civilized regions this has been replaced by a steel skullcap, but the message is the same--these are warrior priests. Their place is in the trenches with the troops, urging them onwards. Priests of Tempus may be found on both sides of a conflict, as none can ever truly know who the war god will favor.
Battleguards of Tempus can only be of Chaotic Neutral, Chaotic Good, True Neutral, and Chaotic Evil alignments
Abilities:
- Spiritual Weapon: Battleaxe - 'Battle Prowess' once per day
The Battle Prowess battleaxe is the spiritual weapon of Battleguards, and is wielded as if the caster had grand mastery in the weapon. The Battle Prowess is a regular weapon at levels 1-5, +1 at levels 6-10, +2 at 11-15, +3 at 16-20, +4 at 21-25, and +5 at levels 26 and above. The spiritual weapon lasts for one round per level of the caster, up to 20 rounds.

- From level 7 can cast Holy Power once per day, as fourth level cleric spell of the same name
- From level 9 can cast Chaos once per day, as fifth level mage spell of the same name

Very interesting reading, everyone. I learn more about the game every time I come here. It's amazing how much there is to learn.
