In Dragonstaff's run, all three party members have just reached the experience cap prior to entering the Cloakwood Mines (Well they haven't quite reached it, but no more levelling up). The bandit camp was the most difficult with everyone attacking simultaneously. Web together with wand of fire plus necklace of missiles did the trick. Used up all but one charge of the necklace of missiles and went to High Hedge to sell it and buy it back fully charged.
In my next game, I think that I may have a larger party so that I reach the cap later in the game.

Karrina managed to scrounge up enough gold to buy a splint mail in Candle Keep which helped immensely this time (third times a charm!) She said her goodbyes to Imoen on the roadside, but sent her to wait at the Friendly Arm Inn and joined forces with the Xzar and Montaron. Together they fought only a few minor battles on their way towards FAI.
The group made swift work of Tarnesh, Karrina protecting herself with Armor of Faith and Protection from Evil while Xzar used his Minor Drain. Leaving Jahiera and Khalid behind the group geared up, took out some local hobgoblins and headed south.
Karrina cast doom and lightning bolt on an ogre while xzar drained him. A string of successful battles followed, ending with a pair of Dread wolves that chased them all over the map before finally dropping to Montaron's arrows. Battered and bruised, Karrina navigated to level 2.
Karrina, PoT 2, 18 HP, 17 Kills (Gibberling)
Montaron, F1/T1, 9 HP, 39 Kills (Dread Wolf)
Xzar, Necro 1, 4 HP, 13 Kills (Ogre)

@ussnorway. Thank you once again for the start save: It worked beautifully. There is one issue though: Serg is the Bhaalspawn. Is there an easy way to fix that? If not, I can just go ahead and play it that way.
@Wise Grimwald. Alicia was capped (I always play with the cap). Those last two screenshots may have been the source of confusion: they were taken in Amn.
@Others. Alicia thanks you kindly for your comments on her run.
You may see more of her in the BGII thread.

I think, ussnorway could just recreate our team in her multiplayer install with Alesia being chosen first (and thus became a Bhaalspawn). I could do the same myself of course but my WeiDU log is a bit longer and I have Infinity Animations installed (the possible source of problems if you haven't it installed).
edit: I have the clean install of easytutu (without even scs) so I could try to create the save there.
edit2: try this

Edit: I greatly appreciate the effort Serg, but that save file isn't working for me.
I suppose I'll go ahead with the version ussnorway sent using "Serg" as the bhaalspawn..
Thanks again!

I'm sure that because of lacking scs in my clean install (my vanilla saves doesn't work in scs install as well). I've tried to edit the save in NearInfinity but with little success...

He didn't muck about in BG1 and made it through with no real alarms. A brief description of his run follows.
Got a couple of levels by killing Shoal to essentially eliminate the danger of ambushes. Then Beregost, FAI, Nashkel, Firewine Bridge (bracers), basilisk area (there was an ambush on the way there, but one advantage of playing solo is that you can safely run away from an ambushing basilisk before it attacks).
Cloudpeaks & Gnoll Stronghold; Drizzt, Bassilus & Sword Coast (I was expecting a single rage to deal with each group of sirenes, but was pleased with the one that killed the 3 golems).
Got to the Nashkel mines at level 7. By this stage Czar is already a pretty formidable melee fighter - as Greywolf discovered! Then the bandit camp, Cloakwood & mines (went over XP cap against Daveorn as XP is not capped in this install, but will just not level up in BG1).
In the City got the tomes, ring +2 and Balduran's Helm. Probably the closest thing in the run to a problem was at the Iron Throne. Czar used rage and a potion of magic blocking there and dropped a couple of fireballs at his own feet while attacking the casters. They all died OK, but Zhalimar got lucky - here he's just got his second critical in a row at the same time as Czar's rage has run out taking him down to 26 HPs. However, he was free to run downstairs to evade if necessary and was actually not hit again after that. Note also that Czar was free to take healing potions (and did so a number of times during this run), unlike my previous Legions party.
At Candlekeep a scroll of magic protection and storm giant strength was used to loot the tombs. Rage protected against stunning darts while beating the party up and a potion of invisibility saw Czar past the basilisks.
Back in the city used another scroll of magic protection and a number of potions (storm giant strength, speed & heroism for attack and invulnerability & mind focusing for defense). Against a magic-proof, AC -12 warrior Slythe & Krystin were pretty helpless and Czar went straight on to the palace to give the dopplegangers the same treatment (both dukes survived). Buffs were still up as he meleed his way through the maze. He used arrows of explosion on the Undercity party, but Shaldrissa did manage to get a remove magic off and destroy his potion buffs.
I took no risks with the final battle. Sarevok was fireballed from out of sight and then soaked up an arrow of dispelling when he came out to fight, while Czar used another potion of speed. With a huge speed advantage Czar had no trouble at all shooting Sarevok with a mixture of arrows and throwing axe until he gave up.
Here is Czar following the combat with Sarevok.

Minus helm, heroism and rage he's actually got only 80 HPs, which is disappointing for a fighter, but shouldn't make too much difference for a mage hopefully.

I gave her 40 points in traps and random spell picks but that is easy to change in shadowkeeper.
I just put the save in this time as you already have the other files but let me know if you have any issues.

.. wait, so if you just kill Shoal without the whole kiss and die stuff, you get 5k XP? Or did you rage to avoid dying, or add an NPC to take one for the team?

Yeah, you can just kill Shoal without the kiss-n-die. You'll miss the Helm of Defence that way tho...

We decided to rise our reputation to the max so Lonely Peaks and Gibberling Mountains were our next destinations. Smooth sailing there and upon delivering Samuel to the FAI we have rep 20 - it's shopping time (useful potions, scrolls and recharge Necklace of Missiles from Thalantyr). Then we cleared the Valley of the Tombs (save Narcillicus and the amazons for now) and headed into the Mines. Cleared them (even tho the output in exp value doesn't fit the efforts) and confronted Mulahey. BlackStrider soften him (and his minions) a bit with Necklace of Missiles blast whilst Krimlor's and Pot's Silence+Blindness were his death sentence. Ring of Holy went to Krimlor (Cassia has bonus spells due to her high wisdom):

Amazons. We took all possible buffs, then followed Stinking Cloud, Silence, Horror, Call Lightning + Necklace of Missiles blast. Most of amazons were out of battle by that, Zeela and Lamalha soon fell. Then I saw in the message window that invisible Telka attacked Alesia. Pot rushed ahead and cast Invisibility on Alesia so Telka attacked him instead. We all surrounded Pot firmly and waited for her to attack someone else with more hp (Cassia has two Call Lightning memorized but no Invisibility Purge...) but all in vain - Telka somehow managed to lay backstab for 20 damage out of his 16 hp total...argh! But that was her swan song and she fell in one round after. Horrified Maneira was nowhere to be seen so Grond scouted nearby to find her. She revealed herself soon enough (being near death at the moment) and reunited with her girlfriends once again (this time in death tho...).

Back in Nashkel we raised Pot and prepared for Nimbul. Again all possible buffs, and hidden Grond directed summoned War Dogs to surround Nimbul. Then Grond revealed himself and war dogs tore Nimbul apart in a split of a second (his pre-buff even not fired)...

Boots of Avoidance went to Alesia, Boots of Grounding to BlackStrider and Boots of the North to Cassia.
Current state:
BlackStrider: Blade(5), 159 kills (Lamalha);
Alesia The Ghast Hunter: Mage(3)/Thief(4), 60 kills (Zeela);
Grond The Pathfinder: Archer(5), 257 kills (Winter Wolf);
Cassia The Furious: Shapeshifter(5), 190 kills (Winter Wolf);
Krimlor: Fighter(4)/Cleric(4), 150 kills (Revenant);
Pot: Mage(4), 8 kills (Cave Bear), 3 death.
to be continued...
