Picked up the ogre's belt and ring of wizardry on the way to the bandit camp. Also stole a third potion of invisibility in Beregost (already got the one in Nashkel as well as one from Kirian). That wasn't needed in the bandit camp as Poseur sneaked his way in and out. Selling equipment allowed him to buy the Claw of Kazgoroth and he's now ready to go and see where his brother met his fate in the Cloakwood.

Made quite sure this time I'd used the potion of invisibility to get through the web traps. Ran through the rest of the Cloakwood to the mine. Originally the intention was to get Drasus to come out alone, but they all stuck together so a mixture of stealth shots and fireballs finished off the mages, before Genthore went down to a couple of pre-laid traps. Drasus chased Poseur, but was scared off by a Bhaal horror. He was at near death when he recovered and didn't survive a newly-laid trap.
Edit: thanks Serg. Looking good so far.

Stealthed through the mine down to Daveorn. Poseur had trouble hitting the guard there, even from stealth, so had no ambition to try fighting the battle horrors. However, fortunately his traps ability was just good enough to disarm those. Daveorn was peppered with stealth shots, losing his spells in the process before he died.
Poseur flooded the mine, without talking to Rill, but avoided the slave outside who would have been annoyed with him.

On to the city, where Poseur picked up the tomes of dexterity and wisdom along with the Eagle bow from Marek. Killing Jalantha Mistmyr on the way there got him to level 8, +5 HPs.
Also used a potion of perception to disarm the trap on the Helm of Balduran just in case he wants to use that in BG2 before investigating the Iron Throne and being sent back to Candlekeep.

At Candlekeep Poseur used a couple more potions of perception to disarm the traps and loot the tombs before stealthing out.

A bad error back in the city when I forgot to raise reputation before resting. As a result Poseur has got not one vampiric touch (which was intended), but two. Thief skills make that less of a problem than for some classes, but still a shame.
Slythe got a dispelling arrow to slow him down and a couple of traps and a few more arrows finished him off.
At the palace an opening horror scared 2 of the dopplegangers. Dispelling arrows soon took their toll of the others (used 2 x mind focusing and potion of speed). They managed to kill Liia, but Belt survived to send Poseur after Sarevok (level 9 - +4 HPs).

Through the maze. Wasn't having much luck with stealth attacks on the doom guards, so left them - though the skeleton warriors went down easily after being damaged by traps. Dodged the Undercity party to get to the temple.

Sarevok's down. He was pulled out alone and a dispelling arrow was followed with a series of acid arrows. I tried to kill him with vampiric touch for extra style points, but misjudged his HP status and had to finish him off with another arrow.
Edit: here's the kill.

Sneaked up Ramazith's tower to get tome there. Then to Durlag's where potion of magic blocking protected against the charm trap. At the lighthouse area scroll of magic protection allowed him to take out the sirenes quickly, while the golems didn't last long against the Eagle bow. A final stop to get the pantaloons before reporting back to Belt and being sent to Athkatla.
Here's his final character record - nicely judged to be just below the level cap.

With the Avatars' run ended I can now fully concentrate on my Berserker-to-be-Mage run. The progress so far:
-Cleared the outskirts of Nashkel Mines and killed Greywolf (Dynaheir blinded him and we chased him all over the map with ranged fire).
-Cleared the Gibberling Mountains (Ring of Fire Resistance for BlackStrider and delivered Samuel to the FAI).
-En route to the Red Canyons we were ambushed by skeletons and all of them shooted Dynaheir with their darts so she used a Potion of Invisibility and we dealt with them. Arrived to the Red Canyons with Invisibility still active so Dynaheir scouted the area and we dealt with various undead, wolfs and hobgobling elites (left Zargal and Bassilus alone for a while).
-Cleared Fisherman's Lake of hostilities (Bjornin's Half-Ogres, Drizzt's Gnolls, Ogres and Ogres Berserkers - BlackStrider tanked them just fine). Teyngan, Jemby and Zekar left alone for now.
-Brought Melicamp to Thalantyr and he survived the transformation! For the second time in all of my no-reloads (hope this is a good sign for BlackStrider).
With heroic 20 reputation we made some essential shopping (Full Plate for BlackStrider, Composite Long Bow +1 for Khalid) and rescued Viconia.
Now, with full team assembled and Imoen short 1100 exp to level 6 (when I intend to dual her to Mage) I think its a perfect time to storm Nashkel Mines while Imoen's Thief' abilities are still active.

Current state:
BlackStrider, Berserker (5), 307 kills (Greywolf);
Jaheira, Fighter (3) / Druid (4), 67 kills (Cave Bear);
Khalid, Fighter (4), 138 kills (Cave Bear);
Imoen, Thief (5), 93 kills (Mountain Bear);
Dynaheir, Invoker (4), 7 kill (Caldo);
Viconia, Cleric (5), just joined
to be continued...

Back again, going to stick to my standard route (having tackled Silke slightly too soon and observing as she conjoined herself and Sweeper the monk with a lightning bolt; grant her death and victory).
Fule, LG human male monk.
STR and DEX 18.
CON 18. Hoping for some regeneration.
INT 16. Gotta watch the flayers.
WIS 9. As low as it goes.
CHA 11. As high as the roll allows.
The song lasts 4 minutes 11 seconds (Any Fule kno that : Deep Purple) and as it is playing in his head an additional challenge presents itself. Complete Candlekeep before the song ends (caveat, at 60fps, not including the training room, Jondalar / Erik, 2 toughened containers at the inn and 1 in the priests quarters with the dagger).
Fule purchases some bolts, grabs 2 scrolls from downstairs and loots a couple of containers upstairs. Carbos and 5 rats are floored quickly but Carbos takes several rounds to fall. Hull's sword is returned, 2 potions are grabbed from the infirmary, Throw the potion at Nessa, throw the book at Phyldia and return the scroll to Firebead. What scroll - must have talked to Tethtoril without talking to Firebead. Run Fule run.
Tethtoril is wandering, trying to find him a second time is going to be tough. There he is, hand the scroll to Firebead and sell everything that Winnie will buy. Race to Gorion, just going to make it...
No no no Imoen, get out of the way. 1. 1. Now clear off. Yes, I'm ready to go. The transition starts and the song stops as we are ambushed.
The next song lasts 4 minutes 19 seconds (Speed King : Deep Purple). Fule decides to see how much of the world he can place on the map in that time. Unfortunately for him he encounters 4 ambushes in his travels and also has to borrow anything of value from Imoen, Xzar and Montaron. Still, not a bad exploration.

Anyway, less of the songs and onto the serious work

Puk has returned with some extra pals and gave his annoying little half-brother a spanking;

1. Cassia opens with a ‘Far Sight’ while Quayle pops some adds.
2. Valando starts the battle with a cloud then retreats so that Sarevok runs into the adds.

3. Puk fires a dispel arrow at him, Valando cast ‘Greater Malison’ and Daemonique gives him a ‘Doom’.
4. Valando connects with “Wand of Polymorphing” and Edward tosses a trap into the mix but Angelo steals the kill with one of his extremely prudent fire arrows.

Edit; well done ussnorway.
Gorion motions to Zhishen. Apparently the woods are full of bandits with longbows and Fule is hardly recognisable beneath the pointy sticks. Zhishen laughs it off until Gorion points out the prone corpse of another monk who lived so briefly Gorion can barely remember his name (Yonn).
Zhishen is suitably chastened and heads back to Candlekeep to complete his chores.
Edit2. He survives the same ambush. A few jobs see the reputation sorted and somewhat better health. The basilisks and Mutamin get their due reward but Zhishen only manages to kill 5 sirines (1 goes II and starts wandering).
A flesh golem gets him down to 1hp, and he wastes potions (healing > regeneration . absorbtion) before discovering his fists are no use. Having already looted the cave he turns tail.
(this is a scrappy one too - looks like I'm out of practice with monks)

Gate70/Grond0 Multiplayer attempt 24 - (first and final update)
Wallop, dwarf berserker (Grond0) & Dwarberg, dwarf berserker (Gate70)
We have previously tried twin barbarians, but not a berserker duo. After the struggles to keep a monk alive this seemed like a nice easy option - and surprisingly that indeed proved to be the case
. With neither of us working today there was the opportunity for a late night finish and a single session of 5 hours saw the duo safely into Irenicus's dungeon.
As usual the run commenced with a level up each from Shoal. Moving on to Beregost, probably the closest point to a death occurred against Silke. Dwarberg warned her he was going to attack and nearly paid the penalty when he was hit hard by a lightning bolt (and had to dodge its return). Continuing down to Nashkel and then on to save Samuel, the duo proceeded on to the basilisk area. Killing the monsters there got them to level 5 and a second rage each; that proved handy against Kirian's party when Wallop's first attempt to enrage was disrupted.
The sirenes were no danger and provided some magic arrows to kill the flesh golems with - allowing Dwarberg to get his constitution up to 20 and start regenerating. A series of reputation quests blazed a trail up to Ulgoth's Beard where the Cloak of Displacement and ring of invisibility were purchased (Wallop scorning the idea that berserkers would need the Green Amulet).
On the way down to the Nashkel mines Bassilus provided a weapon upgrade for Wallop. Mulahey fared poorly, the amazons no better and Nimbul and Tranzig worse as the duo swiftly moved on to the bandit camp. Taugosz did more damage than anyone for quite a while - taking Wallop down to 32 HPs (including 15 HP rage bonus) before falling. His compatriots in the tent were not so lucky after Dwarberg one-shotted Venkt.
The only real action in the Cloakwood was recovering Spiders Bane. At the mine Drasus was pulled away on his own and beaten up, making an enraged assault on the casters something of a formality. In the mine Hareishan was a potential problem, but taking potions of absorption meant the duo were free to watch admiringly as the mage killed not only himself, but several guards as well with his lightning bolt. After the battle horrors were pulled back one at a time for easy disposal, Dwarberg took a potion of magic blocking and hunted Daveorn down.
In the city the targets included Helms of Balduran and Glory, 3 tomes, Gauntlets of Ogre Power, Cloak of Balduran, Shield of Falling Stars and the Eagle Bow. All were recovered without problems, except the Gauntlets - Wallop clicking on the wrong dialogue option there and losing the opportunity to recover them.
At Candlekeep Wallop robbed the tombs using scroll of magic protection and potion of cloud giant strength topped up by DUHM. The ring of invisibility let both berserkers sneak out (resting after first use to recharge it).
Back in the city Slythe was drawn away from Krystin and whacked without any need for assistance. For the sterner test at the palace several potions were consumed. The dopplegangers failed to damage either berserker, but concentrated on Liia and killed her reasonably quickly, without ever looking like getting enough time to finish off Belt as well.
The duo fought through the maze, but then took the long way round to avoid the Undercity party. Sarevok failed to catch a dispelling arrow and came out alone. A last few buffs were added while he was run round before both berserkers engaged in melee. Sarevok did a decent amount of damage to Wallop, but missed twice during the short battle meaning he couldn't do quite enough to make Wallop run, before the damage he received proved too much.
Here are the character records in the dungeon.

(by the way better not comment on Dwarberg's resemblance to Santa Claus - he gets a bit touchy
about it)
Stats:
Wallop, berserker L8, HPs 82, kills 218
Dwarberg, berserker L8, HPs 86, kills 182
Dwarberg has fewer kills, but the majority of the XP earned from them (probably largely as a result of leading against the basilisks).

Zhishen died somewhere (I forget...)
Ragwort gets to level 3 (27hp) and decides he can retrieve a letter from a pair of ogrillions. He misses with his hidden attack and they both hit before he can move away.
(I am fed up of rolling monks so Ragwort gets a second outing).
Ragwort takes the pacifist route after dealing with Carbos, Shank and the rats. After helping Marl, Firebead, Noober, Brage and Samuel he switches to a sling and deals with Shoal the nereid before using a couple of green scrolls to deal with some pet basilisks and their gnomic owner. Caldo, Krumm and an ogre hand over two girdles then a surprise visit into Nashkel mine sees Mulahey in a stunned panic.
Nimbul mirror images but a roundhouse kick sweeps through the array of images and fells him. Ragwort purchases his reserve weapon and finds an unwilling test subject.

His HP's are looking very good so far. 10+6 > 16+8 > 24+10 > 34+10 > 44+8 > 52 (maximum roll is 10 for a monk with 16+ constitution).

Ragwort confirms the dagger of venom is suitable for fighting sirines, badly wounding one. A second hit kills her but not before she casts dire charm, and the casting time from his greenstone amulet will be too slow. (saving throw is 11, roll is 19).

So a lucky escape, but another lesson learnt (sirines don't seem to have their abilities disrupted).
The other two sirines get the cloak / boots / girdle for piercing modifier of -14 and the greenstone amulet + fists is enough to safely deal with them. 52+5 > 57hp.
Edit, one of Sil's sirines saves vs poison. Sil follows Ragwort and is poisoned by the 4th hit. With her dead the greenstone amulet is used again to finish the final pair of sirines.
The dagger causes 9 damage to a flesh golem but it hits back immediately and the girdle of bluntness isn't enough help. Ragwort considers using some potion buffs but a golem critical is too dangerous and he retreats after looting the cave.

Ardenor Crush and his hobgoblins are brought to earth with venemous strikes, Ragwort hiding after each attack. Venkt resists the poison but Ragwort has already hidden and strikes a second time. Venkt resists again and the fight heads outside.
Ragwort realises Raemon has stayed inside so he returns and poisons him before hiding behind the main pillar of the tent. A second hit has Raemon dead so Ragwort heads outside. Venkt resists again and everybody returns inside the tent.
Venkt resists a final time but the attacks have mounted up and he slumps to the floor as Ragwort emerges from behind the pillar (this looks comical as Ragwort is 3 times as wide as the pillar but with his vision obscured he can safely hide).
Several more pillar hides see Hakt and then Britik succumb to the poison and Ragwort heads off to Cloakwood via a store.

Drasus and his mercenaries collect a series of over-the-horizon bullets. Genthore is first to investigate and monk speed sees him pick up some poison from the shadows. Rezdan and Kysus both fall to bullets and Drasus eventually moves quickly enough to prevent Ragwort from hiding.
Ragwort zig-zags around, stopping every so often to strike out with the dagger of venom and Drasus joins his companions on the floor.

Hareishan survives a poison strike and her guards cluster around her so Ragwort has to either leave her or use bullets. He collects a lightning bolt for 14+9 damage but a few of her guards are also wounded. Two more sneaky bullets kill her and Ragwort moves on, unable to loot her corpse as several guards are standing on her.
The two battle horrors are drawn back one at a time, Ragwort hiding round corners and attacking from the shadows. The first hit proves they are immune to poison so he switches to fists and after 10 minutes or so the first one is dead. Ragwort does the same for the second, but takes four or five hits (getting careless as time passed).
The greenstone amulet and a potion of absorbtion are used against Davaeorn but no lightning bolt is cast and he casts dire charm before the amulet is used (this is a regular failing on my part). Ragwort saves against the charm and attacks from corners until Davaeorn switches to melee. Down he goes.
(that's 2 charms saved in this game - lucky to get this far)

The first hit proves they are immune to poison so he switches to fists and after 10 minutes or so the first one is dead. Ragwort does the same for the second, but takes four or five hits (getting careless as time passed).
The greenstone amulet and a potion of absorbtion are used against Davaeorn but no lightning bolt is cast and he casts dire charm before the amulet is used (this is a regular failing on my part). Ragwort saves against the charm and attacks from corners until Davaeorn switches to melee. Down he goes.
