Blaggerd is wondering if his companions are worth the grind. Generally they've been OK but were a liability on the wreck of Balduran's ship (more to my lack of practice on this than anything else). On at least two floors Blaggerd was expecting to mop up remnants of his party, but some potion glugging and moving away managed to prevent that from happening.

After clearing two floors, the party rested in Dradeel's hut, and were caught out when returning as the third floor occupants looked to have moved down to the second floor.

Spoiler

In the last area, Tiax was targeted and spent most of the combat running away, only succeeding in getting Edwin dragged into trouble too. Viconia took some hits once they were clear, and Tiax looted a non-proficient golden sword for Dorn so he could help Blaggerd with a non-proficient Kondar sword. Shar Teel made good use of her stealth to get several backstabs in with the Werebane dagger.

Party inventory is as below.

Gate70/Grond0 multiplayer attempt 106 - (update 2)

Barak, dwarf kensai (Grond0) & Flugg, elf fighter/mage (Gate70)

There was a bit of a hiccup at the start of the session when Flugg got too close to Baruk's kobold commandos when casting stinking cloud and took a couple of hits.  The kobolds all then fell over, but Flugg didn't take advantage of the window of opportunity to retreat and the final surviving kobold got up just in time to nail Flugg.

Spoiler

After going to raise Flugg and pick up the Ring of Wizardry the duo arrived back at the same area and took on the Doomsayer.  He survived Flugg's magic missile spells and a couple of scrolls and Barak thought he might have to resort to his wand of magic missiles - but found a critical with a non-proficient sword first.

Spoiler

With reputation maximised the duo headed for Ulgoth's Beard.  They stopped at the ankheg nest on the way and cleared that in one go, though the final ankheg got lucky and this time Barak did make use of his wand when both characters were low on HPs.

Spoiler

Moving on to the main quest the Nashkel Mine was soon cleared of kobolds.  Mulahey successfully avoided a stinking cloud and summoned some help, but it didn't do him much good anyway.  The amazons were less successful at avoiding a stinking cloud

Spoiler

before Rasaad did his typical glory hunter trick of getting the kill on Nimbul.

The Bandit Camp followed.  After clearing the bandits and Taugosz Barak led the way into the main tent protected by the Greenstone Amulet (Flugg hadn't learnt invisibility at that stage so stinking cloud wasn't an easy option). That allowed a pretty comfortable victory.

Spoiler

Before moving into the Cloakwood Flugg took advantage of the low prices on offer at High Hedge to stock up on spells.  Barak then increased prices substantially by leading the way to Firewine Bridge to kill Bentan and Poe.  That was done mainly to reduce reputation in order to acquire horror as a Bhaal ability in due course - giving him a potential way to make an extra contribution at the palace.

In the Cloakwood the only real encounter was working through the opponents in Centeol's nest to grab Spider's Bane.  Arriving at the Cloakwood Mine stinking clouds allowed all but Drasus to be killed without retaliation and Drasus was then pretty helpless against a joint assault.

Spoiler

Moving down through the mine was made easy by Flugg's newly acquired invisibility spell.  He also made some cheesy use of his staff to take advantage of a multi-player exploit - killing the mustard jelly before even getting into sight of Davaeorn.

Spoiler

After using invisibility to draw away the battle horrors Barak used a potion of magic blocking and attacked Davaeorn.  He just had time to fire off a futile lightning bolt before being one-shotted by a critical.

Spoiler

In this installation the battle horrors survive his death, but Flugg couldn't be bothered working them over with his own spells and just used a couple of wand scorchers to burn them up.

Barak, kensai 7, 90 HPs, 150 kills

Flugg, fighter 6 / mage 6, 49 HPs, 105 kills, 1 death

Los1 -4,

Go down slugging;

Hear text as mp3,

The party completed bg1 but I’m behind on my work and will just cover the final battle;

Katarnia did my standard opening with a ‘clouldkill’ scroll, as Puk revealed the area before popping a skelly warrior and Ormaline | Imoen placed traps then summoned adds with one of our two wands… Sarevok charged the summons and that’s when the plan started falling apart.

Angelo and Semaj teleported in and started decimating my summons, so I spread out and sent Katarnia (100% fire resist) against them to pull away from the adds… this works ok until they dropped two ‘cloudkill’s of their own (that’s new?) which killed Katarnia | Puk and Angelo.

Sarevok made a b-line for Ormaline forcing her to run and Sarah carpeted the area in ice, making Semaj retreat but attracting Tazok… at this point I’m in serious trouble because Sarevok is loose and I’m down to Imoen and Sarah for options.

Imoen looked down at the wand of summoning and with a rare clarity, knew what she had to do to save her sister… with the decision made she threw down her rogue weapons and picked up the wand to give Sarevok something else to fight.

los1-017.jpg

Spoiler
los1-021.jpg

Ormaline used the rest break to join Imoen casting frost wand shots at Tazok then dispatched a badly wounded Semaj with her fire wand… his guards dead, Sarevok had no other option but to fight my summons until we whittled him down.

The gang has also collected more tomes this session… Dexterity for Katarnia wisdom | strength for Puk and intelligence for Ormaline.

@ USS Norway:

Looking good. :)

Starting a new run with a duo:

http://s1108.photobu...ldr000.jpg.html

http://s1108.photobu...ldr001.jpg.html

First of all killed the upgraded assassins. Command works wonders as their upgraded weapons are no longer a threat.

http://s1108.photobu...ldr002.jpg.html

http://s1108.photobu...ldr003.jpg.html

Killed a wolf who was trying to prevent me getting a ring.

http://s1108.photobu...ldr004.jpg.html

It worked against Tarnesh and Ankhegs too. :)

http://s1108.photobu...ldr005.jpg.html

http://s1108.photobu...ldr006.jpg.html

and it also helped against Tenya. :)

http://s1108.photobu...ldr007.jpg.html

Not to mention ogrillons.

http://s1108.photobu...ldr008.jpg.html

Upon helping Rufie, the party levelled up. :)

http://s1108.photobu...ldr009.jpg.html

The battle against Vax was much more difficult:

http://s1108.photobu...ldr010.jpg.html

Karlat however was much easier.

http://s1108.photobu...ldr013.jpg.html

as was helping Mellicamp:

http://s1108.photobu...ldr015.jpg.html

Silence helped a lot against Bassilus:

http://s1108.photobu...ldr017.jpg.html

EDIT

Forgot to mention that the thief/mage got killed in a bandit ambush. Escape was possible, but I thought that the duo could win. They could, but it cost 200gp to raise the thief/mage.

Got Gavin to join the party. Killed Bassilus, Zargal, Returned Brage to the temple. Helped the architect. Killed some sirene near the lighthouse and plunderwed the cave.

The temple asked the party to deal with Mutamin. Whilst in the area they wiped out some evil adventurers and then

Æthelflæd killed Mutamin single-handed

After returning for the reward they took on Silke. That battle went exceedingly well in the sense that nobody in the party got hurt, but not so well in the sense that after those the party were trying to help were charmed, Silke killed all of them and herself with a lightning bolt. :( Lost a bit of experience there but did get three potions. :)

Frith and his party then continued with Gavin's quests, killing Lady Valarian in the process. Afterwards Gavin was allowed to leave to spend some quality time with his daughter.

Xzar and Montaron joined for a short period. Xzar was killed by Droth, but Montaron survived and was able to locate some useful items in Ulgoth's Beard. The party bade him farewell there which I feel was just as well.

After that the ankhegs were wiped out and with the help of Korax, most of the basilisks. After he turned hostile, he and a medusa were killed.

They have now killed the rest. :)

Æthelflæd and Frith then trashed all of Durlag's Tower above ground and are intent on being just as successful below ground.

The doppelgangers guarding the gong part were exceedingly dangerous and did some serious damage and had to use numerous healing potions, but they survived. :) The flesh golems were equally bad, but Æthelflæd and Frith somehow survived and satisfied all the warders except Love. The wine was put in a container nearby and will be picked up when they return after revisiting Candlekeep if they get there.

The Nashkel mines proved to be a walkover. Mulahey was silenced and then poisoned whilst a fireball blast virtually wiped out his minions.

Blaggerd and his latest Horde have tidied up various quests before heading into Durlag's Tower. Plenty of gold has been spent on equipment (mostly re-purchasing items sold before he recruited the party). He's not too fussed as there's more cash to be found, and many an encounter has turned into a rout. Here's Zhalimar Cloudewulfe wishing he'd never set eyes on this unscathed lot.

Spoiler
The party encountered one particularly dangerous foe here, retreating until the charm wore off Blaggerd.
Spoiler
The second level of Durlag's basement took a while to complete but without any difficulty, and the third was much the same although Blaggerd avoided the skeletal platform area and minimised his Ashirukuru garden experience by heading straight for the magical axe (Bala's) and leaving. Shar Teel still found time for a few backstabs though.
Spoiler
Edwin opened the chess match with Stinking Cloud -> Grease while Tiax and Viconia threw up Glyphs of Warding. No sign of activity so perhaps the opponent needs a nudge.

(not very clear but 3 potions of fiery breath and a fireball wand charge)

Spoiler
Blaggerd (Blackguard 8, capped) is playing target, often dual-wielding Varscona and Harrower.

Dorn (Blackguard 7) is staying behind Blaggerd, providing two handed destruction.

Shar Teel (Fighter 6 -> Thief 8) has been hiding the Shield of Falling Stars in shadows to deliver backstabs with the Dagger of Venom.

Tiax (Cleric 7 / Thief 7) has got his lock skill to 115 and traps to 100 thanks to the Brawling Hands and Kiels Buckler. Doing a grand job as thief.

Viconia (Cleric 8) has been providing healing and buffs, wearing the chain +3 donated by Baresh.

Edwin (Conjurer 8) has been coasting along with the odd haste buff, unleashing his arcane talents against tougher enemies.

Æthelflæd and Frith the Fearless romped through Cloakwood killing spiders, wyverns and even a dragon albeit a small one.

One mage (From Dark Horizons) in the mines caused them problems, but Davaeorn used up all his spells fighting summoned skeletons. Most of his spells were ineffective and when he came face to face with his real opponents, he had no answers. He did save against a silence spell which was a minor inconvenience.

The party are now nearing the Gate. They do not intend to take any risks there.

Los1 -ds1,

Mopping up;

Hear text as mp3,

The party finished cleaning up the rebels Sarevok made militant with one final dungeon bash, … Imoen joined us for moral support and the dukes sent along a triadic picket for the final battle;

There are two difficult encounters imo with the first being unlocked by a colour puzzle… the room just screams “ambush” so Sarah laid down some ice before tripping the trap and then we rained down the hurt from the safety of range… nothing alive (or dead) survived in that room for long!

los1-022.jpg

Spoiler
los1-026.jpg

Katarnia did my standard pull with a ‘fireball’ wand, as Puk revealed the area and Ormaline | Katarnia | Puk ran to Imoen and Sarah’s waiting arms... Korlasz has strong disabling spells (

Spoiler
) but suffers from target fixation and was soon bastioned into submission.

are we assuming people don't want to know about DragonSpear tactics?

Yes Grond0, congratulations on beating Sarevok, and all the best in SoD.
Would you mind putting everything SoD-related behind spoiler tags? Like you I've been trying to avoid any info on SoD, and I want to be completely ignorant when entering that portion of the game.

Personally I would rather not know anything.

It is like having a new game and that doesn't happen very often.

I'm so glad that I didn't have the internet when I bought BG a LONG time ago.

I blundered my way through it and as a result I had several years of learning for myself.

It made the experience so much better as I got a real buzz when I taught myself a new tactic such as how to kill enemies that the devs tried to stop you killing. (Tazok at the bandit camp being a case in point)

Reem II the solo dwarven fighter/cleric - FINAL BG 1 Update!

I know, it's been a while. But in any case, when we last heard of Reem II he had finished Chapter 5 (that we was going to do anyways) and just needed to deal with the Iron Throne 5th floor. His HP are great and he just doesn't need anything from those enemies - so he used sanctuary to talk to Thaldhorn and sanctuary to slip past the enemies again.

He got what little he needed for the Candlekeep Crypts and talked to Duke Eltan. Here in Candlekeep, very little was done:

1) rested to get DUHM power

2) kill dioppleganger and spiders in way

3) loot the 3 crypts

4) kill doppleganger at entrance to next area

5) go invisible and get out of the crypts

He of course had to use Storm Giant strength to bash crypts - protection from magic protected against most traps. Spiders were non-issue since his save vs. death was -1.

Reem II sold his junk at FAI, got his tomes identified and used them. He can't use a bow, which means he can't dispel Sarevok. Which means running/shooting would be very difficult. So to that end, he needs to tank. The belt of slashing would help with that. So a brief stop in the basilisks area was used to obtain them. Korax and 4 buffed skeletons assisted Reem II - that in combo with silences and hold persons, the enemies couldn't do anything to Reem II.

Next up was Slythe - max buffs used and he was pulled away from Krystin. He died quick. For Duchal Palace, used same buffs plus 5 skeletons buffed with chant and bless - Liia died but Belt survived!

For the thieves maze, Reem II donned a protection from magic scroll, invis potion and ran all the way to the Temple of Bhaal where Sarevok was hiding. Reem II moved and and buffed for the big show down!

Screenshots of adventure, not counting final battle:

Spoiler

After buffs, Reem II's effective AC vs. slashing was -13. He was going to dual-wield to try to kill Sarevok quick. He also had boots of avoidance to help with Angelo. I think he forgot to buff with his fire resistance potion, so was only 60% fire resistance (woops). Some skeletons were summoned though Reem II didn't expect them to last long. Reem II tried to pull just Sarevok, but entire crew came - ok this will be a fight!

Reem II tried to fight Sarevok once he was on skeletons, but he quickly changed to Reem II once in melee range - good move, but for sure Reem II is far more powerful than the skeletons. Because Reem II forgot to use a fire resistance potion, he was forced to go invisible and heal up - this had a nice side effect though - Sarevok killed Angelo!

Baldr648_zpso5xkxerv.png

Good thing Reem II had 15 blue potions, it took quite a few to get back up to full health. Once healed he went into melee once again. Reem II got some good hits on Sarevok, but had to run a bit heal, and resume.

Baldr649_zpshuhljdhx.png

Fortunately, after Reem II's 3rd go at Sarevok, Sarevok took too much damage and was slain!

Reem%20II%20defeats%20Sarevok_zpss6oerpt

Reem II will be solo in Amn as well. Here are his final stats.

Blaggerd had a bit of a rough day yesterday, made worse by trying to squeeze in one last encounter which went on somewhat longer than planned (and I'd run out of time so trying to finish it off very quickly and not buffed quite as decisively as I should).

Losing a dagger at Ulgoth's Beard was a bit careless, while Shar Teel and Dorn soaked up a couple of backstabs.
Spoiler
A second encounter outside the cultist's hideaway was much easier, but Viconia was targeted by one of the thieves inside and fell to a backstab. A second thief had already encountered Edwin's Stoneskin, and the Conjurer walked the two thieves around for the few seconds that Blaggerd, Shar Teel and Dorn needed to clear the area, then it was time to go find a reviver.
Spoiler

The final group of cultists activated after Shar Teel backstabbed one of them. The party split, with Dorn and Blaggerd focusing on two more cultists while Tiax, Viconia and Edwin distracted the spellcaster with missiles. Viconia took three Arrows of Dispelling when she was Gazed and started dying, while Edwin took a fourth to remove either deafness or silence. He immediately threw in a Malison towards Aec'Letec.

Blaggerd and Dorn tried to keep their distance but Dorn was caught out after a minute or so. Blaggerd was still dual-wielding, and also took some damage but finally the cultists were all down and the remaining Blackguard meleed Aec. It was tough going, and Viconia's heals were disrupted by Aec. Tiax stepped up to the occasion, successfully healing Blaggerd several times after summoning his ghast.

Aec is heavily magic resistant, and even Malisoned there were limited spells of use against him. Shar Teel took damage whenever she ventured near to Aec, so kept a ranged attack up (wasn't checking results as trying to finish quickly by this point. Note, she's got a +1 bow as Marek's bow was lost or lost via a bug when she died facing the Demon Knight).

Edwin, Tiax and Viconia were trying to help but the main hope was for Blaggerd and he was struggling to hit Aec quicker than it was draining health from party members. (I was starting to think I'd have to shut down due to time and end the run).

Then fate struck. Aec'Letec has an ability to turn characters into ghasts. Well, as mentioned above, Tiax had summoned his ghast. After long enough for everyone to forget about it, the ghast paralyzed Aec. Oh what joy, everyone laid into the stricken Tanar'ri.
Spoiler

I saved and shut the computer down.

Frith the Fearless and Æthelflæd romped through Candlekeep easily. So far tomes have been given to make the duos strengths greater rather than minimise their weaknesses, Thus intelligence and dexterity to Æthelflæd. Wisdom, Strength and Constitution to Æthelflæd.

Whilst they could take on Sarevok easily by themselves, I am wanting a strong party for SoD since I am a complete newbie there. They are therefore building up a party before taking on the Section in Beregost.

I am thinking of Ajantis at the present and Imoen of course It is a pity that Yeslick is unavailable. :(

EDIT

Ajantis joined at level 5. (INQUISITOR)

A mod allows a certain freedom in choosing kits. Not as much as I would like, but I can live with it.

EDIT

Thonon and Imoen have now joined. the party.

Spoiler
Angelo is quickly subdued, followed by Tazok.

Gate70/Grond0 multiplayer attempt 106 - (3rd and final update)

Barak, dwarf kensai (Grond0) & Flugg, elf fighter/mage (Gate70)

The previous session had ended by arriving at Baldur's Gate and buying a few spells.  On starting again though I noticed that we had been paying over the odds as reputation was not up at 20 (lower than usual as I had fudged things to get Barak a Bhaal horror this run, which I don't normally bother with in MP).  That led to travelling south to the Cloud Peaks, before hastily turning around when we vomited on arrival.

Spoiler

Back in the City Lothander donated a second pair of Boots of Speed

Spoiler

and we finished off Marek as well before resuming a quick tour of the Sword Coast to maximise reputation and pick up remaining tomes.

Further equipment acquired included the Helm & Cloak of Balduran and Ramazith's +2 ring as well as some more spells.  With everything in place we then went invisibly into the Iron Throne building where stinking clouds and fireballs sorted the opposition out without trouble.

Spoiler

At Candlekeep Flugg looted the tombs using his own spell protections before using web for a change to sort Prat's gang out.

Spoiler

On the way out though a couple of phase spiders spotted Barak running past and one of those managed to poison him.  That poison ticks so quickly at 5 HPs a time I was afraid that an attempt to use his slow poison ability would fail and cloud his aura until he died.  He tried to rest twice after spiders were dead, but failed both times and reluctantly had to use an antidote potion (I don't allow those in SP, but sometimes take pity on Gate70 in MP :P).

Spoiler

Once more in Baldur's Gate Slythe ran into a dispelling arrow before being hammered into submission.  At the palace some summons provided a distraction, but the main work was done by Barak and Flugg both using horror - resulting in 5 of the 6 dopplegangers making a run for it.  That didn't prevent them from killing Liia, but Belt survived - and this time we made sure he was well out of Sarevok's eye before showing him the evidence.

Spoiler

The Undercity party used area attacks against some summons - resulting in a falling out between friends.

Spoiler

At the temple Flugg used a dispelling arrow against Sarevok.  Both he and Barak were snug and sound inside PfM globes meaning Semaj was no threat and Sarevok was distracted by summons while being shot up.

Frith the Fearless and Æthelflæd together with the new party members wiped out the section in Beregost. They found all sorts of weaponry on the corpses of the Section. A lot of it was no better than they already had, but selling it will enable them to buy all the provisions that they need for werewolf island, ice island and the rest of Durlag's Tower. Helped Gandolar Luckyfoot and the teacher at Ulcastwe School. Images to come later. Now time for bed.

Here we go.

Weidu:

Spoiler

So, Ascension/BGT/SCS/aTweaks (demons prohibited from going Ethereal, but have SCS HP and Gate), full HP for PCs (they're gonna need 'em!), and some minor mods for fun.

Also, this:

~MYCUSTOM/MYCUSTOM.TP2~ #0 #0 // My custom items: 1

These aren't really any custom items, just the mod's name. This mod actually does several things:

1) it makes Boots of Speed act like in BG1

2) it removes portrait icons from all items, and then adds them where there is full immunity to a certain effect. Example:

Helmet of Charm protection looses "mind shield" icon since it doesn't give Mind Shield (you're still confusable for example), Ring of Fire protection looses Fire Res icon (you're not fire immune), Ring of Free Action gives Free Action icon since you're immune to movement modifications etc.

3) it removes the ugly "color glow" effect from spells like Pro Evil (it makes characters look as if they're afflicted by radiation)

4) it makes Haste dispel Slow and viceversa, so these two effects cannot co-exist together, as in PnP.

Be that as it may, the party is as follows:

Protagonist:

1_zpsghpopmak.jpg

and the party:

2nd barbarian:

2_zpszukion70.jpg

Priest of Helm:

3_zpsnqzzxrfk.jpg

Archer(ess)

4_zpsgnymfmfp.jpg

First things first, I wanted to check for potential. Thus we kill Silke at level 1. This is quite a feat, but with barbs having Rage immunities, cleric innate True Seeing, Silke was harmless as she ate the arrows.

5_zpsmbzdr7u4.jpg

Did some areas aroud Beregost, ankheg farm, killed Dushai (sometimes killing her quickly doesn't make the whole village hostile, but it did in this instance).

The inability of barbarians to equip full plate meant I had a lot of money from selling 9K ring, hence I bought some stuff from the tavern there, and killed the dwarf. He has fantastic equipment and is worth a ton of XP.

Next, to south, up to Gnoll Fortress. BGSpawn makes this area a bit harder due to Shamans (they cast Animal summoning, Hold and Silence), but Asya cannot be held. They don't have SCS targeting, so they'll use Holds even on character under Free Action.

Bassilus can be very hard on this install. It's important to watch his buff sequence. If he uses Physical Mirror, it means he will use Flame Strike quickly. If he doesn't buff with PM, he'll summon Aerial Servant. Given I have aTweaks Elementals, the summon will kill us all. Silence failed to affect him, but he died short after.

I deliver his symbol to the temple, and wipe it out. XP is good here, and the temple services are worthless.

Next were basilisks. No problem with an archer under Pro Petrify scroll - even if I did have some issues vs Kirian. Nothing a few potions can't handle.

After that, Ulcaster. BgSapwn has some neat creatures there, including an extra Vampiric Wolf that summons Hell Hounds. Pro Fear is imperative.

Some micromanagement with positioning and stealth made short work of the beasts, both inside and outside.

Then Durlag's. BGSpawn can make this area populated by some real nasty creatures (Mummies are very dangerous with Fear aura), but the biggest threat were these - they cast Chaos and are immune to all +1 weapons - meaning the only way to kill them is either magic or +2 and higher. I had archer use +2 arrows and kill it.

Following it's demise, we exited the place - lower levels are far too lethal. Back to main plot, Nashkel mines is cleared, barbarians proving again why backstab immunity is godsent in this game

and wiping out the bandit camp with usual fire methods.

En route to Cloakwood mines we ran in a very nasty ambush. While I hate running away from combat once it starts, these are indeed something else.

Just to explain what is so dangerous here (bar the 2 barbarian orcs) - the mage covered in magic is a 14th level mage. Which has a sequencer, in between other high level spells. Which can have 3xSkull Trap - should he release it, it's game over. We ran, and didn't look back.

On a side note, there is also a spawn with "orc priest". He summons Aerial Servants - making him possibly even more lethal than the mage.

The battle in front of Cloakwood mine was fairly easy (I didn't use Pro Magic scroll, but did use those potions which make you immune to level 5 and lower spells), the mage killing his friend with Sunfire was an epic thing to behold. :P

Looks like an interesting set-up that you have there. Can't have SCS and SOD. :(

My party has cleared Werewolf Island and Ice Island. :) In the depths of Durlag's Tower both Imoen and Æthelflæd were badly hurt by the Dwarven Warders and the Dwarven Doom Guards. However, it was the traps that killed Imoen. The party are pressing on without her. They have finished the chess Board with immaculate tactics that left them uninjured. They needed r&r prior to that when the air aspect's poison was quite effective.

The demonknight was easily conquered. However the party was not buffed for what happened afterwards. Frith the Fearless got held and it was touch and go as to whether he would survive. He did and quickly recovered after sleeping. :) Now just outside the tower.

Freya - LoB sorcerer (update 1)

Over the last few months I've tried over 50 times to get a solo character (of various classes) through the EE original trilogy (not including SoD).  All have failed - a few being unfortunate, but the vast majority due to my typical mix of mistakes and lack of concentration.

To do something different I thought I'd have a go at a Legacy of Bhaal run with a sorcerer.  So far her progress has been pretty much as normal for me:
- Shoal was blinded and died the death of a thousand pinpricks from darts (need to be careful doing that as the character automatically switches to a melee attack as soon as a stack of darts is exhausted).
- the same tactics were used around Beregost to get Freya up to level 4 and provide access to invisibility for safe travel.

Progress has obviously been a bit slower than usual with enemies having so many more HPs.  Freya has used over 2,000 darts already - Karlat taking the most with around 150.  However, now that she can travel safely she'll be able to be much more selective about only attacking high XP targets.
