We arrive in the peaceful town of Beregost without incident, and decide to keep our word to the gnome lady we met in the Friendly Arm by cleaning up her spider-infested house. And boy, is it an infestation. Khalid pops in quickly to lure the four monsters out of the house and holds them off at the entrance to the yard, while everyone else peppers the spiders with various missiles. Miraculously, we defeat the creatures without taking almost any damage!

Emboldened by our success, we decide to help out Silke next. Our overconfidence is immediately and harshly punished as she turns against us, charms Khalid, and kills both Imoen and Jaheira while Kivan leads our melee warrior on a merry chase about town. Ilkimys gets a dose of Magic Missiles himself, barely surviving the encounter with the help of two health potions, when Kivan finally returns to turn Silke into a pin cushion. He's making a habit of saving our butts, to be sure.

Shaken, we head to the temple outside of town to resurrect our fallen, which severely depletes our modest capital. We take out our rage on the myriad monsters surrounding the wilderness near the temple, killing a wide variety of dogs, wolves and Chill hobgoblins until we finally run into a pack led by a Vampiric Wolf, at which point we decide it's time for a... tactical retreat.

We head back to Beregost and fight a dwarven assassin at the Burning Sheaf. I remembered this guy being tougher, but he falls easily to Khalid holding the doorway and everybody else firing arrows at him. Still, gift horses and whatnot. Inside, we meet an angry halfling who's lost his sword and decide to check if there are any more bears to kill around High Hedge. We find none, but we do kill enough gnolls and skeletons to find that sword and level Kivan up to Archer 3.

We decide to make a brief trip back to FAI to get our reward for our extermination services before returning the sword and plotting our next move. Ilkimys Tuhmuri now has 4600 experience points, and level four can't be that far away.

 Tana Bondo's little fellowship

Tana Bondo's little fellowship is now down to three. Atleast its the 3 most important. Kagain(tank), Alora(trap n lock) and Tana Bondo(Healbot).

So after mourning Tiax they headed out with their booty. As we exit ulcaster and meet daylight we are ambushed by a group of bounty hunter. Kagain and Tana were badly hurt and exhausted from our last encounter so they decided it was best to run for it. Kagain threw a potion at Tana who caught and drank it. It was a potion of speed which made it easy for the escape. Kagain also drank one and they made their escape together.

They managed to reach the temple of the morning song w/o much problem and there they brought alora back to life. Everyone decided to rest at beregost before going back to deal with those bounty hunter.

Back to ulcaster they met with them again but they had splitted up a little so the partykilled 2 of them while they were alone before the reinforcement come. Kagain charging with is enrage to meet up their leader while alora and Tana dealth with the mage. He had mirror image up so alora had a little bit of difficulty hitting the real one. Tana threw a silence at him but  he resisted. Luckily he didnt resist the hold person tana threw after. i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii90/managarn/Tanabondo43.jpg We quickly dispatched the rest.

After this anothe rest at beregost and selling some items. they also went to see the mage at high edge to sell the wand that they couldnt use and stock up on potion, scroll(yeah i literrally bought every prot scroll/potion i could) and bought the wand of sleep and fear. This severely lowered the weight of  their purse going from 30k to 10k lol.
On their way there they fought some cave bear and an army of undead.i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii90/managarn/Tanabondo44.jpg There was about 12 of them throwing dagger at Tana for a while. Tana got hit once for 2 dmg but i think 100+ dagger was thrown at her lol.

All filled up for adventure we continue to explore. Olny 1 area left in the south and it was south of ulcaster. THere we fought off ogre half ogre and ogrillion.i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii90/managarn/Tanabondo45.jpg Wild beast and even ettercap. We also met a group of bandit offering s to hand over our golds or our lives, kagain lov is gold too much to hand it over so we were forced to put them down.  i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii90/managarn/Tanabondo46.jpg

We also saved Hulric's cow, Arabelle, from Xvarts. i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii90/managarn/Tanabondo47.jpg

Hoh and almost forgot, kagain leveled(lvl 7 berserker) He almost reached 100hp, he is at 96 atm though he can get over 100 easily with enrage and a little further with Aid.

From the secret diary of Ilkimys Tuhmuri, adventurer extraordinaire:

On our way back to Beregost, we found a ring in a crack on a rock. Best get this thing identified, it's amazing how much magical crap people just leave lying around in the wilds. To the High Hedge it is!

Arrived at Thalantyr's estate around eleven in the evening. This man should seriously consider hiring a groundskeeper: the place was crawling with skeletons, and several bears, a couple of them of the cave variety. Still, they make easy kills for our archers, and everybody is clearly getting a better handle on this whole adventuring business.

Around midnight, we stumbled upon what appears to be an abandoned cabin. May have spoken too soon about Thalantyr: it seems clear that his mistake wasn't so much not bothering to hire a groundskeeper as it was not bothering to keep said groundskeeper from being eaten by giant spiders and ghouls.

Thalantyr identified the ring as a Ring of Protection. That's pretty nice. Should probably give this to Khalid, since he's the one putting his life on the line in melee. Or perhaps I'll keep it to myself and just won't mention this to Khalid at all.

Afterwards, we went back to Beregost to return Perdue's sword for a lordly reward of 50 gold. Cheap bastard. Jaheira is starting to nag, so we best head to Nashkel, next.

Ran into complications on the road to Nashkel. Found a letter adressed to someone at Beregost. Best deliver that in case of reward. Also, had to kill several Flaming Fist mercenaries, including one that was harassing a drow cleric/mage. She asked to join our little troop, meaning that we finally have some use for the Ring of Wizardry. Now if only she hadn't fumbled two attempts to learn the spell "Sleep." Questioning the quality of Underdark education.

Also, saved a petrified ranger near Beregost, who implied that there might be basilisks to be found to the east. Am considering a little hunting trip before heading down to Nashkel.

(Everyone is now over 7000 experience. I'm a little worried about the SCS component that improves the Nashkel mines, so I'm thinking about leveling up to Swashbuckler/5 before braving them. The basilisks used to be pretty good for this purpose, though I wonder about the SCS improvements there, too.)

EDIT: The operation was successful: with the aid of Korax, we killed Mutamin and enough basilisks to get everyone about 3000 xp. Ilkimys and Imoen are now Level 5, Khalid & Kivan are Level 4, and Jaheira & Viconia are 3/3 in their respective multiclasses. Next up: Nashkel.

Glad to see you passed the basilisk area unharmed gonthaur.

Tana Bondo's little fellowship Final entry

This will be the last entry for Tana bondo :crying:.

After clearing the south of most dangers our group ventured into the risky area of the bassilisks. Equipped with only 4 mirroyed potion they took on the beasts. At our arrival we met a strange ghoul that wanted to be our friend. We made good use of it to tank most of the basilisk's gaze we encountered. There we learned the usefullness of sunscorch which blind the bassilisk and render them useless but the cast time let them have 1 gaze off.

So there we fought Mutamin and his bassilisk. The ghoul tanking a lot of gazes with the help of a buffed agaisnt petri kagain. Alora made sure to quickly finish them off while Tana casted a silence to make sure mutamin doesnt interfere too much. As soon as he was silenced the next step was sunscorhcing the greater basilisk which completely removed him from the fight as he wasnt even trying to melee anybody. They were all dispatched w/o any issue. i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii90/managarn/Tanabondo48.jpg

We encountered a few other lesser basi but no threat really. Our next encounter is a bunch of adventurer that taunted us. We took them down+ a pack of gnoll that came to their help. A quick silence shutted their mage down and alora made sure that their divine caster couldnt cat anything while kagain tanked the lot.  Sadly our ghoul fell to these adventurer's beastly greed. i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii90/managarn/Tanabondo49.jpg

Next was a carefull scouting via sanctuary to spot out the basilisk. I spotted a group of 3 lesser and 1 greater and we approached them in a manner to take them out 1 at a time. But as i approach kagain head on whom just gulped down a mirror potion ready to tank their gaze , Tana start casting a sunscorch and before i knew it she was the actual gaze target and failed her first save at the same time the scorch was finished. Here end her adventure. My boldness costed us a lot troughout this adventure and Tana met her demise(note: if i ever make a ranger, basilisk will be the hated race lol)

Damn... damn be my greed and passion for hoarding - Imoen died in the Candlekeep catacombs because of them... There were loads of loot, we had all our inventories full of stuff. To free some space Imoen decided to use some scrolls against ghasts. But we forgot that while using say Wand's of Fire Agannazar's Scorcher ability person can move right after the shot, when using Agannazar's Scorcher from the scroll this person holds in place for some time (a round) and cannot move... Imoen used the scroll, held, then stunned by ghasts and was killed in a few hits... We were forced to abandon loads of stuff to carry Imoen's gear out of Catacombs...(sigh). Well...*to live is to learn...*
BlackStrider soloed Prat's party (Web, Grease, Fireballs), Kivan handled the rest (spiders, basilisks).
At the moment almost all party members (except Kivan and Imoen) are at the level cap.
We resurrected Imoen and now exploring the Durlag's Tower.

to be continued...

@Cowboy_christo
My condolence...
I personally seldom rely on Potions of Mirrored Eyes due to its relative short duration (10 rounds). There is a green Scroll of Protection from Petrification (all can use it) on stock of merchant in Carnival. Its lasts 6 hours and you can clear a whole basilisks area with ease.

Hooo so this is where the scroll was lol. That would certainly have helped. Though my character died in her roleplay. She was bold and would defy the odds at any time which costed us a lot of companion on the way lol.
What ****ed me over is the fact that he changed target right off the bat. Kagain was upfront but i didnt want to go into melee as to not attract the other bassilisk yet so i told him to stop midway. So i think scs bassilisk automatically change target if one does not attack them even if they are the first in sight and sadly Tana was second in sight and casting a suncorch on him.

Too bad about Tana. :(

I've found the big one-trick beasties pretty easy to deal with, so far. You know what they can do, and you can easily get around it. What I'm really afraid of is having to go up with other adventurers with magical abilities (I didn't even dare to try my hand against the basilisk area party). A Swashbuckler has little to defend himself with against spells, and can't exactly rely on hitpoints and saves, either. It doesn't help that this is my first time playing BG1 with SCS, so I'm pretty sure there are some nasty surprises waiting for me, too.

Before heading out of Beregost, we decided to treat ourselves to one last night at a nice inn. Feldepost's royalty suite it was, and Imoen's sticky fingers managed to come across a rather nice cloak, previously the property of the nice man in the next room over.

As we made our way to Nashkel, the party came across a dual-wielding amazon berserker who mockingly promised to join our party if our strongest male warrior could beat her in a duel. Against all odds, Khalid actually managed to do this, so we now have a warrior who's actually capable of standing up to an enemy and punching their face in - as opposed to the rest of us, who prefer to courageously shoot the enemy's face with an arrow from as far away as possible. Sadly, someone else had to go to make room for her. Imoen didn't take it so well. Still, with Algernon's cloak no longer being so much Algernon's as mine, she had outlived her usefulness to me.

Shortly after, we arrived at the quiet, little, white-bread, redneck mountain town and spoke to Berrun Ghastkill, taking the job to investigate the mines. Before heading out to the mountains, we decided to pop into the local inn for some refreshments, only to bump into yet another assassin. Fortunately, she fell easily to blindness and a good old gang walloping.

On to the mines! We bumped into a rather obsessive artiste with a creepy fixation on a woman he'd never met, being pursued by a bounty hunter. While Prism was a sad little man, we decided to kill the bounty hunter anyhow. Apparently, Shar-Teel was an old friend of his - emphasis on the old - and anyway, he had a pretty cool sword. Now it's Shar-Teel's.

As we had suspected, the mine itself proved to be a much trickier situation. There were kobolds by the dozens, and with those kinds of numbers, not even our heavy armors, girdles of piercing and whatnot managed to protect us completely. Ultimately, we ended up needing to rest and recover healing spells two or three times before reaching Mulahey's cavern. Fortunately, the man himself was not quite as dangerous as his endless hordes of minions, and the tried and true combination of blindness and arrows worked wonders on him.

We also picked up a new team member to replace the ever annoying half-elves. Unfortunately, it didn't take long to find out that one full elf is more than a match for two mongrels in that particular respect. I hope I won't come to regret this decision.

[Note: Xan's class is changed to Fighter/Mage, but he is otherwise unaltered in terms of stats and such. I tinkered a bit with Shadowkeeper at this point, since I had given him dagger specialization with L1NPC, but apparently his Moonblade uses longsword proficiencies after all, despite being tagged in the game as a dagger. I hope this is not against the rules of the challenge; I don't really consider it to be against the spirit.]

As we returned to Nashkel, we found ourselves doing battle with - surprise - a fresh assassin, only unlike the previous ones, this Nimbul guy wasn't a pushover. Honestly, this battle wasn't my proudest moment. He started out with a Globe of Invulnerability, Ghost Armor and Mirror Image, rendering our usual blindness routine useless. Seeing no option other than to wear his defenses down,  Minsc (whom we  had picked up moments earlier) and Shar-Teel charged him - only to be put to sleep, which could easily have been avoided with either one's rage ability. Kivan got hit with a confusion spell and proceeded to use his mad rapid-firing skillz  on innocent bystanders instead of Nimbul. Ilkimys Tuhmuri barely dodged a bullet by making his save against Dire Charm, and just managed to shield himself from the next one with a Potion of Clarity stolen from Candlekeep what must now have been several weeks ago. Xan managed to fight Nimbul in melee for a while and deplete some of his mirror images before being blinded and then hit with an acid arrow, which surely would have made things look grim for him as well, had he not just been, well, blinded - when he finally got one of those lucky breaks he never expects. Not a good showing, but at least we lived to tell the tale.

Next: In exchange for helping us out with Nimbul (for all the good it did), we promised the unhinged ranger to help save his girlfriend or whatever from some dog people. I hope there's cool loot, at least.

Short update. Rescued Dynaheir, killed a lot of monsters on the way. The only interesting battle was against the shady magic merchant called Borda that we met near a Xvart village; he tried to con us, but we saw through his game and attacked, instead. The battle was a little iffy - I ate a Magic Missile to the face, among other things - but ultimately Xan skewered him with his Moonblade. We also had to fight a paladin who sensed the evil in our hearts, which dropped the party's reputation far enough that we were attacked by the Nashkel guard upon our return and had to flee the town. Fortunately, we made it to the Beregost temple where we made a grudging donation to raise our reputation back to "disliked."

[Question: I recruited Edwin after saving Dynaheir and telling her and Minsc both to get lost. He doesn't seem to recognize that Dynaheir is no longer anywhere to be found, and obviously I can no longer go to the Gnoll Stronghold to settle the matter, since Dynaheir isn't there. Is this something that can be considered a bug that can be rectified via the console, or would doing so be against the challenge rules? My feeling is that I should, on roleplaying grounds, be able to convince Edwin to keep traveling me even though Dynaheir has slipped through his grasp, but I'd like some feedback on this one.]

I decided against tampering with the settings after all, and played through the beginning of the game again.

Not much changed. We saved Melicamp and cleared all of the basilisks before heading to Nashkel, thus gaining a little bit more experience. This time, we left Xan at the mines and replaced Jaheira and Khalid with Minsc for Dynaheir's rescue mission so as to have enough space for her.

On the way, we fought some gibberlings, and had a marathon fight with Borda. We had to return to Nashkel once to resurrect Minsc, but in the end, we prevailed. By the time we returned from the Gnoll stronghold, I was already sick and tired of Dynaheir's thees and thous, so I was all too happy to legitimately drop the two barbarians for Edwin. Yay.

After that, we returned to the Nashkel mines exit, only to find it blocked. Being already there, we decided to at least do some exploring, which led to Shar-Teel being paralyzed and killed by a Revenant. Just as things were looking dicy, Edwin proved my decision to take him along to be the right one, as he slaughtered the undead creature with Magic Missiles. For 3000 xp, that's the biggest kill any of us has made yet apart from the Basilisks.

Now I need to decide whether to fill the last place in our party with Fighter/Mage Xan - assuming that the mines are accessible at all anymore - or go with tradition and fetch Kagain. The latter is tough as hell, but is he as tough as the former's Moonblade is cool? I could use a durable tank if I decide to dual Shar-Teel into a backstabber, but Xan's spells and Moonblade criticals could be offensively valuable as well. Decisions, decisions.

As for the status of the party other than that, everyone is around 20k exp at the moment, and Tranzig is next on our list.

Edit: Went to pick up Xan just to see if he could contribute to the party. Turns out that he's still quite frail even as a fighter/mage. Had a bit of a scare exploring a cave when a ghast, of all things, got in a shot and paralyzed both him and myself. Edwin tried casting a dispel, to no avail, while Shar-Teel and Kivan desperately scrambled to save my life before it was too late. Lucky. Lucky amateur.

And so Ilkimys Tuhmuri's story ends at the Bandit Camp.

I severely underestimated the strength of the SCS-improved Iron Throne adventurers combined with improved calls for help, and went in totally overconfident. I thought I would simply put the first wave of bandits to sleep and handle Taugosz Khosann with a concentrated melee effort. This plan, however, went to shambles when the Iron Throne party came out of the tent to meet me with several Black Talon Elites (now immune to sleep with SCS). Though I managed to disable most of the enemy force - including their mage - with Sleep and Horror, neither Shar-Teel nor Kagain could handle both Taugosz Khosann and the relentless arrow bombardment from the still standing Black Talon Elites. I tried casting Animate Dead and using the wand of Monster Summoning I had found at the ghoul catacombs earlier, but alas, it was too late to save my fighters.

Desperate, I try the charm ability from Algernon's Cloak on Taugosz, and it works. In retrospect, this should have been my opening move, but I never expected it to actually take. Even at Badly Wounded, he managed to turn the tide of the battle in my favour - I imagine that if I had gotten him on my side immediately and used him to take pressure off Kagain and Shar-Teel, the fight would have gone very differently. Hindsight is always 20/20.

We took out Britik the Gnoll and Venkt the Mage, but sadly, the advantage didn't last long until Black Talon Elites killed Taugosz, Kivan and finally Viconia as well. It was just Edwin and Ilkimys now, and although Magic Missiles and lightning bolts from a wand we had pried from the fingers of an Ogre Mage finished the remaining named enemies - including Ardenor Crush, who had finally wandered into the battle from the other side of the camp - Edwin finally bit the dust after getting fried by a bouncing bolt from his own wand and then being finished by a Black Talon Elite. It was just me now, and the bandits were beginning to wake up from Viconia's Sleep spell, joined by the last couple of Chill stragglers.

I decided to bail and try to lose them in the woods, hoping I could double back and loot health potions from the fallen to keep myself in the fight. Sadly, I misjudged the map's functionality, and ended up bottled on a clearing that was surrounded by impenetrable trees. I took out one bandit, and was left no choice but to try and make a dash through the ranks of my pursuers.

You can see a bandit drawing the bow for that arrow that was to be lodged in my spine.

Looking back, I could have done so many things to avoid this fate, not the least of which was simply scouting possible retreat routes beforehand, and walking into the fight with previously summoned fodder instead of underestimating my enemy. Algernon's Cloak could possibly have won this for me alone, if I had used it on Taugosz earlier and then kept using it on the Elites. Oh well. I guess my earlier, easy successes had made me overconfident.

R.I.P.

BlackStrider & Co Final update

Party finished Durlag's Tower. Imoen died at Level 4 Underground in Ashirukurus area due to trap. We went all the way to surface to resurrect her. Jaheira was killed by Demonknight himself (he cast Power word: Stun and then fireballed her). At least she wasn't chunked... Then he blinded Kivan, but in the end Khalid avenged his wife. One more trip to surface to resurrect Jaheira and then all the way back to pick her gear. Then we took the trip to Werewolf Isle and Ice Dungeon. Both were uneventful. We returned to the city, saved Duke Eltan, killed assassings  and went to coronation ceremony. During the battle there one of the Dukes (mage) died but second sent us on the trail of Sarevok.
Final battle was pretty ease this time (arrows of dispelling followed by  acid ones did the job)

I think perhaps I'll try again with a different character class. As much fun as playing a Swashbuckler/Mage is in Baldur's Gate 2, playing a pure Swashbuckler more than makes up for it by... not... being any at all. So!

Is that... Sokka?

Hehe, somehow, I sense that his favorite weapon will be the Boomerang Dagger. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie] Best of luck for your run!

Congrats Serg. See you in SoA.
My set-up in SoA was broken and I had to re-install, so Dragonslayer is just starting again over there.

Out of curiosity, Serg, what mods (roughly) did you have installed? I'd look it up, but it's a long thread and the search function is imperfect.

I've wondered if perhaps I should not have decided to try SCS for the first time in an Ironman challenge, but what the heck.

I almost want to install the BG animations myself, but my WeiDu log is already a bit of a mess.

Anyway, Wang Fire has made some progress.

Imoen was killed by a wolf on the first map, but while she was taking a dirt nap, we acted as message boys and exterminators for a bit. Then we got Imoen resurrected, saved Melicamp, killed Bassilus and stole Algernon's cloak from off his shoulders. It's amazing how nice people are to someone with 20 CHA.

After that, we recruited Viconia (but somehow managed to not loot the gobby carrying the Boots of Stealth, apparently) and performed the usual Basilisk hunting operation, which brought Wang to level 5. This seemed like a good time to fetch Jaheira and Khalid and clear the Nashkel Mines, which went smoothly other than Khalid chasing a Kobold into some traps and killing himself while I wasn't looking, and Bassilus' minions crowding me in the entrance of his cave so that I could not reposition my party. Wang's Sleep spells and Viconia's Undead Turning saved the day, though.

This is where we're at now. Known spells are Shield, Sleep, Magic Missile, Blindness, Mirror Image and Web. I think this time around I'll try to finish most of the non-TotSC side quests (and get that Boomerang Dagger) in the hopes of hitting level six before heading out to Bandit Camp. A few third level spells would certainly be helpful in that fight.

Did Minsc's quest, came back to Nashkel and replaced the Rashemi pair with Edwin.

Aand then we got ambushed by the two groups of SCS assassins on our way to recruit Shar-Teel. Kivan got held immediately, Edwin and Viconia got swarmed by two dozen skeletons, and that was pretty much all she wrote. If I'd kept Dynaheir and Minsc with me for a little while longer, her fireballs could have turned the tide. Or rested to give Edwin some Magic Missiles. Should've, could've, would've.

Ouch

Elnar
Against all the odds (laptop issues...) I awaken to fight another day. After a brief recap I lead the way back to Durlags Tower. Yeslick forces one lock, shrugging off a lightning bolt and then we are ready to face the four warders.

Minsc kills Love just as he casts a skull trap. Coran dies, while the rest of us all take injuries. I drop Pride as Fear eliminates our skeleton summons. Minsc adds Fear to his list and we cast a few more buffs before facing Avarice. Yeslick leads and we join each time Avarice appears. Imoen adds some magic missiles but Kivan concludes the battle in our favour. All that remains is to drag Coran to a temple.

Entering the challenge with a random party
Having had my kensai / druid's brain sucked out by a mindflayer in BG2 it's back to the drawing board.  This time I thought I would have a try at generating a random multi-player party.  This was produced with the help of a spreadsheet using Excel's random number generator.  I didn't take the time to try and code every possible variation so there is some manual intervention, e.g. a good aligned character was rolled as a priest of Helm and I have changed to Priest of Lathander (although class comes before alignment in the BG character generation, I took the view that alignment was actually the more fundamental characteristic).  The stat values for each character are from the BG character generator (all natural, single rolls except for one slight tweak listed below).  Proficiencies were manually added on the assumption that once characters had fallen into a particular way of life they would try and learn appropriate skills for it.

The party size could have been anything from 1 to 6 and was rolled as 6 (50% chance in my parameters).

Main character is Mercie: female, cleric / illusionist, gnome, C Good, Str 16, Dex 8, Con 14, Int 12, Wis 14, Cha 12.
Boonie: male, priest of Lathander, halfling, C Good, 13, 11, 17, 15, 15, 9.
Pockets: female, fighter / thief, halfling, C Evil, 15, 13, 11, 9, 12, 15.
Whirligig: female, fighter / cleric, half-orc, L Evil, 17, 8, 15, 11, 15, 12.
Pretty-boy: male, enchanter, human, L Good, 15, 7, 16, 11, 12, 18.
Slicer: male, fighter, human, L Evil, 16, 17, 15, 11, 15, 14.
Slicer was actually rolled with 17 strength and 16 dexterity, but also tagged as expected to dual class to a thief (parameters gave all characters not of a single class, e.g. monk or sorceror, a 50% chance of being multi or dual classed).  Therefore I swapped round the attributes to make future dual classing legal.

Actually I'm amazed at how good and well-balanced the party is.  When I first produced it I was worried as there were no basic class thieves, but with 2 characters having multi or dual class options as thieves that concern went away.  There may well be alignment conflicts, but I'll just have to make sure I keep reputation broadly neutral.

My last few tries at BG1 used EasyTutu so I thought this time I'd try and change and see how Baldurs Gate Trilogy worked.  Also loaded are:
{Edit: the readme for SCS 2 said BG2 fixpack must be installed first.  It didn't say (nor did SCS) that the installation would fail (only BG2 map areas available in BG1) unless the fixpack was installed before SCS as well.  Once I had discovered the problem and found a thread suggesting installation order in some detail (http://kerzenburg.ba...ead.php?t=34931) I reinstalled.  Thus far things seem to be going well, so fingers crossed.  Note that the mods below are now a bit different from those originally posted following my look through the list on the above thread.}
- BG2 fixpack
- dark horizons
- dark side of the sword coast
- Thalantyr item upgrade
- BGT tweaks
- Weimar's item upgrade
- sword coast strategies
- sword coast strategies II
- Worldmap
