My point was more like: EVEN I have a ton of good ideas, so Bioware better has some, too.=]

Some things only sound good on paper. Also, one must not ignore feasibility. For instance, your suggestion of the sibling changing gender would eat lots of resources.

Ah come on, that was just like the first idea I had while reading the information about the sister.

If I would get money to write such stuff I would put more effort in it, I admit.

But more interaction between the group (specially at camp) would be nice. In DA:O the hero ran around basically interrogating the other party members. It would be really great, if in DA 2 they would come to the main character more often and would ask him things they are interested in and if they would talk more with each other.

Are the graphic "changes" being done to accommodate console performance?

That is the only reason I can see for the change, which looks markedly worse IMO.

That doesn't make much sense. DAO ran on consoles, didn't it?

They had to lower the texture quality to accomodate for the space on both consoles. People complained about it a lot.

@Lucy - Oh, I agree. I'm sure Flemeth is a real person... or thing. And I believe the woman we met in Origins was the entity in its latest host. What I was trying to say is that since DA2 doesn't take place too long after DAO, the Flemeth we meet could be Morrigan using her name to capitalize on its infamy. She could get a lot more done if people thought she was the legendary Flemeth rather than an apostate mage few outside Ferelden are likely aware of.

But wouldn't that tip off the real Flemeth, when it finds a temporary yet suitable body, where Morrigan is? (Granted if the player had helped her settle that little problem in Origins in the first place).

I didn't, except when at first it seems like people had some kind of "aura" that make the enviroment sharper... Or at least for Howe in the Human Noble origin. But I got used to it.

Has everyone here seen screenshots of FFXIII? I'm talkinag about just the model, animation, and texture qualities. I'll grant that FFXIII is the highest bar set for the consoles, but it is set really freaking high. In terms of quality of imagery, that is what every developer should be striving for. And it blew DA:O console imagery right out of the water. Made it looked thoroughly dated by comparison.

the german articel says that the plot of dragon age 2 play parallel to dragon age origins at the beginning

that means you could also meet her when she is still alive

just a thought

That is possible, true. Her hut is near Lothering so it could be she pops over before the darkspawn arrive to make sure the two Hawkes get away as part of a scheme she has. That theory works if she plays a bit part instead of being a full fledged party member.

I am pretty sure a lot of games that recently came out, "Blew DA out of the water." I mean, Origins' graphical quality wasn't the best.

I didn't say they need to provide better graphics. Graphics are hardly significant for an RPG.

Graphics are important for any genre, including RPGs. Else, we would still be playing Ultima, Planescape and Morrowind.

Mike and Bethany Hawke, two fire mages who keep it hot on and off the battlefield! There is bound to be steam wherever these two siblings go!

Buy the lyrium-tape video for only 3.99 ar your local "Varric's" video retailer! Because only sleazy dwarves would sell this stuff!

It may not be the case for your you, still most gamers value graphics.

I'll probably do a playthrough of Planescape:Torment within the next few months.  Why not?  Its still one of the best RPGs ever.  And its backgrounds were lovely.

Flemeth may not be able to do anything about it even if she already found a new host. She prefers to transfer herself into powerful blood daughters because it speeds the adjustment period. It's possible Flemeth would be weakened for an long duration if she is forced into a random person's body as a result of the Warden having slain her. By then Morrigan might be better prepared to face her as well.

Even if the Warden spared Flemeth, Morrigan could well still be ignorant of Flemeth's status and act accordingly. Remember Flemeth said she wanted to spy on Morrigan awhile and see what she does with her perceived freedom. Flemeth could be aware of Morrigan's antics and simply not care to intervene yet for whatever wacky reasons.

Not really - RPGs age much better than other genres.

Torment was a masterpiece, loved every moment of playing it back in the day. However, 3 months ago I tried to replay BG 1(+Tutu+widescreen+some mods which people recommended in Bio forums), I just couldn't get into it anymore. It was a game I enjoyed allot back then, but graphics & interface have advanced so much, that it's hard to go back. Same happened after trying to replay torment.

Graphics do matter, I'm not saying it's Crysis level graphics that are needed but games with modern graphics do make most old ones show their age. Video game industry is highly driven by the graphics factor for a reason, there is demand for good graphics.

That would definitely would be Flemeth's personality. Though I thought that Morrigan is at least paranoid enough to know that Flemeth would try something. But meh, I don't know her character enough to even come up with a good enough reason for her to even go after Morrigan, other than being bored.

I don't really care about graphics so much so long as they are consistent. A sequel with graphics worse than the original is kind of lame, but I'm sure there will be all kinds of neat lighting effects and what not with the final product.

I look forward to learning more about the characters. :)
