The title says it all. I figured I would let the players start up here as well.

Neeshka!

I'm not really crazy about the OC character unfortunately... But I did really enjoy Ammon Jerro's character. Though I find the interactions with him to feel sorta... shoehorned in since you get him so late in the game. It feels like you gotta squeeze out every single influence point at that stage in the game if you want to get to know him.

Khelgar was my favorite despite his being a walking stereotype in several ways. He had one of the more detailed character arcs and was one of the few party members who came across as a real friend. Second and third place go to the Shandra and Ammon. Most of NWN2's cast was... lacking sadly.

I rather liked Sand, mostly for the snark.

As Seagloom says, Khelgar is the best developed, likely because he is with you the longest. He feels like an actual friend by the end of the game. Something many of the others fall short on.

My vote would be tied between these two.

Then Aldanon, who gets some of the most amusing lines in the game.

After that, the group of guards you work with at the Tavorick Estate.

Then Neeshka and Grobnar.

Well I haven't progressed further than the Old Owl Well, I'm playing a Lawful Good cleric and all of them hates me. The feeling is mutual.

Khelgar, specially because of his voice.

His speech before the fight with Lorne is just perfect. (when he says he wants to fight)

Grobnar or Sand. They both amused me greatly.

Favorite was probably Sand, for the obvious reasons.

Although I hated Bishop, I think he is a chaotic evil character done right.

Least liked is probably Zhjaeve simply because it's an obvious Torment plug.

They all count it shouldn't matter in my books, but thats up to the moderators of this section. I'm glad I started this thread, because no one else has. I feel kind of special and its good to see people coming in. I'll start playing these games again and learning more as I go. I would like to get some more advice from the old forum users from NWN2, but I think they aren't fully hear yet. I have a feeling they will be showing up little by little.

Shandra was my favorite npc in the first campaign despite or I guess even because of her fate. In my opinion one of the most mature character fates in late rpgs - and one of the most cursebale ones. I don't know how many time I tried to avoid her death - no chance. (sigh)

I really enjoyed Qara’s haughtiness.

It is a shame that the romance options in NWN2 were so severely curtailed.

Oh, if MotB counts I want to change my answer!

Definitely Gann or Okku then.

That is because Obsidian doesn't like them. hehe. Though I always though I think the community made a mod for that. I'm not fully sure. Posted Image

I especially like the back and forth banters of both Khelgar ("a proper city should build down not up") and Neeshka  (doing an impression of Khelgar "ooh me stomach hurts"), and Neeshka picking on Elanee ("Oh these waters are so unnatural not like in our forest").

Sand also ranks up above with them for his witty and funny banter.

One person I never get to like at all is Qara, she sounds like a pain always.

I didn't pick out any MotB characters since this is the NWN2 board. I also like to consider that cast seperately. Otherwise it's heavily weighted in MotB's favor. ;) I'll have to get back to you on this one though, as I haven't taken Kaelyn the Dove along before and should really try every party member before rendering judgment.

I forgot to mention in my previous post that I thought Sand was okay as comic relief, but he wasn't one of my favorites due to how snobbish and one dimensional he could be. I thought Bishop was an excellently written character. My dislike of him comes from his behavior. The man is an ass. :P

If its MOTB then I would probably go for the Bear God Okku,

Dove would be pretty up there as well as who doesn't want to have an angel as a companion.

Though I find the characters in OC more funnier, MOTB characters are very much as well developed more developed than most of the OC characters.

Though I only wish they made Safiya nicer looking.

If we're including MotB, I'd say Kaelyn definitely. I enjoyed all the MotB characters greatly but Kaelyn is one of my all-time favorites. She works well on so many levels.

One-of-Many gets an honorable mention because... I mean come on... One-of-Many!

In the OC it would have to be Neeshka or Bishop. Neeshka always feels like a best friend by the end of the campaign, and Bishop is one of the only really evil characters I've seen done well.

In MotB I'll say Gann or Okku. Gann is one of the most interesting companions to just talk to, and Okku is like a huge rainbow-y grandpa.

In my playthroughs Bishop doesn't even deserve a mention as their is only room for one badass dual wielding/archer Ranger in the party heheh.

Sand. For his wit:

Nasher: And you, Sand? Anything more you wish to add that you did not say in the first three hours?
Sand: Only that the dress the ambassador is wearing is clearly out of fashion, a blatant attempt to distract the court from the matter at hand, and is more appropriate for a Docks prostitute than a diplomatic envoy. Thank you.

(Khelgar has some good lines too: Prejudiced? I'm not prejudiced! By the Nine Hells, I even travel with a back-stabbing tiefling of all things, and you know how her kind are!)

Neeshka. I like following her around....

Dove. For some reason, I have a want to protect her. It is painfully obvious she doesn't need any protecting, though.
