what this forum needs to change to make it better than the old.

Add the ability to post scripts in a separate window, like the old forums had.
Add the ability to stay logged in forever. maybe its my browser settings, but it keeps forgetting I already logged in.
Make the font for the posts bigger, come on I am now old and blind from playing NWN so much, be nice to us old people and help us to see what gets posted.
Allow us to pick and choose what forums we see when we log in. Like the old forums had.
Allow us to transfer our old logins, and keep our Registration here, some of us, not me, but some have lost their CD keys and the only place they are is on the old forum. Part of the great thing about NWN is some of us have been playing it, as well as a member of the old forums for almost a decade now, it would be nice to show how long we have been playing hte game..
When the old forums are archived, please post a link to the arhcived same topic in the new topic. And while not about these forums, please make the search the archive ability better than the old.
I am sure there are many more, feel free NWNers, nows the time to make these right for us, the community.

Other things that have been suggested already:
- Give CEP its own forum again, instead of mixing it with "Custom Content".
- Let "Persistant Worlds & Multiplayer" be the new "Ye Olde Tavern" and replace "Guilds & Registry" (a name which has always been the cause of much confusion) with "Server Admin" (in case such a forum is requested by PW administrators to discuss the technical stuff).

To make the font larger, go to Profile -> Edit Profile and pick the Large Font theme under Site Themes.

.tga format images can be opened by programs such as Adobe Photoshop and GIMP (the latter of which is entirely free and as I recall open source) to convert to conventional formats. There are a bunch of converters around, but to my mind it's always preferable to use a fully fledged editor, as they always come in handy somewhere down the line.SHOVA wrote...
Got another one, the ability to upload screenshots to the album. Tried it, and it doesnt recognize the file extention.

Code tags with syntax highlighting (or just code tags).
They also should've just used phpBB3. Forums, addons, plugins, stable, not cramped, themes... Hopefully they can reimplement most of those features here.

Totally agree...and yes...I have the same problem.SHOVA wrote...

Totally agree here as well.SHOVA wrote...

However...I found a link (in the breadcrump text) that leads directly to the NWN1 forums....that helpes a bit....but still yes...having them more easily separated is wanted...
Totally agree. The only way the current setup could work is if all thread titles pertaining to CEP be marked with CEP...but guess how many can can obide to that...olivier leroux wrote...

I don't agree to that actually. I think that change is for the good. Now communities for "something NWN:ish" can be in the guilds section and if the community is formed around a specific PW then the Persistent Worlds section is for thoose.olivier leroux wrote...

I definately don't think Guild & Registry should be replaced with Server Admin at least...they are not even remotely similar...

I know they're not similar, I only suggested that because "PW Admin" apparantly got lost in the move and at least it seems to have been used for technical questions about running a server more than Guilds & Registry was used for any guild topics. I don't quite understand what you mean by communities for "something NWN:ish", how such a forum should look like and if there's a large audience for it. However, I'm neither a PW administrator nor into guilds myself, as long as the confusion about where to post about PWs is ended, anything is fine by me, even a Guilds forums.
At the moment though chaos still reigns.

It is probably not necessary to remove any of the other sections to do that I hope...
For me it is perfectly clear what is supposed to be in the Persistent Worlds section...I mean it is even called Persistent Worlds...I don't know how it can get more clear than that. NWN2 has had that setup in their forums forever...
I think if you have some sort of NWN:ish community (thats NOT a PW) then you can post it in the Guilds and Registry section....
I posted a big sign in the Guild and Registry section...so hopefully they will see it. Probably they are posting there because of old habits and not bothering to look further down in the forum sections.

This feature will show all activity for that particular network when you return to the social site, so you only see that group's activity.
Currently, there is no option for Neverwinter Nights or even the new Mass Effect 2.

While changing a Pic file from one to another is easy, I think that the website the company uses for its forums, should in fact allow for the file extentions its products actualy use. If I want to upload a screenshot from a NWN game, why do I have to change its file extention to show it in the NWN forums!?! Seems like the forums don't respect the game their about. Just an opinion sure.
I think it's because the forum does not handle TGA, so you have to convert it to a more appropriate and forum friendly format.

Please?
No avatar I could rely to. No CEP hideout.
No CD keys...
I didn't join today either, but on the 29 Mar 2007.
And I always hated this "Modified less than a minute ago" warning!
Sorry, this place ain't my home.
What? Oh, okay,

I'm not too comfortable with it either but it's getting better by the day. Yesterday there wasn't even a jmlzemaggo here, just figure how we must have felt!
