In KOTOR, you were a Jedi.  In Jade Empire, you were a Spirit Monk.  In Mass Effect, you were a Spectre.  In DA1 you were a Grey Warden.

Any guesses on the new organization for DA2?  My guess is it has something to do with the Champion of whatever title.

Don't think there is one. If there is, I'd wager it has something to do with the eye sun symbol

I don't there will be one. The whole point is to become an all powerful being; presumably making your own organization.

Yeah. Spectres operate in secret, but they're still legends. They all are.

So you're all saying that BioWare are going to break their streak of 4 consecutive games with an exclusive organization in them? It's 5 if you count Cerberus.

They are giving more info about Tevinter's Imperial Chantry and some orginazation that's part of it called 'Seekers'.

But if Hawke is going to part of it I don't know, I think they might be pulling some strings to help him or work against him though.

Well...Hawke starts as a refugee and eventually becomes a champion. He's friends with the Dwarven guy who works with w/e group has that Sun/Eye symbol [coincidentally resembling the Carta's heraldry from DA:O] so it may be possible that he joins that group.

A secret society within the Templars, dedicated to reform of the Order. they want to make Kirkwall the base for an independant Order. Call themselves Hospitallers or something....

So far with the info it seems that most of the story is going to be a recount on how Hawke became champion of Kirkwall...

In RL history the Hospitallers were a society of Crusading Knights just like the Templars, sometimes rivals, sometimes allies.

I just thought it would be amusing to use the symbolism

Something to do with Mages? That timeline of Thedas on the GI website says the Kirkwall Templars hold the Circle in an iron grip. So there's probably a secret resistance group, like the Collective, but that you can join without necessarily being a mage. Maybe it's why they've made Hawke's sister a mage, to give you a vested interest in helping against the Templars.

I know, right?

No exclusive organization. No saving the world. No ancient evil.

I'm pretty bored with being part of an elite group of world-savers. Why do I need some cryptic organization backing me in order to be legitimate?

No exclusive organization. No saving the world. No ancient evil.

No secret organization to join, no pressing matters to attend, no huge threat...  So, Hawke may just open a brothel in Kirkwall and call it  day?
I mean, it's also a way of becoming a champion...

As many people pointed out, most players played Dragon Age as if their PC was a power-map, greedy, selfish criminal overlord. but since you're a Grey Warden you can steal, murder people for money, slaughter peasants and generally be an ass and still be considered a Hero of Ferelden.

Well, your friends would certainly call you a champion, so long as they got mates rates.
