I'm talking about my home computer...I dont understand why I cant just log in and be logged in...forever...

Instead it kind of asks me to log in every time I visit here...

It doesn't even remember my password :-(

I have had this problem too. It will typically kick me off immediately upon entering my password (and proceed for the next 10 minutes to say I'm not logged on after entering my email and password).



As this is highly annoying, I have found the only solution is to...uncheck the "remember me" box at login time. I'm not sure why that works but it does. You will still have to log in when you have had your computer turned off, but you should remain logged in after that.



As for being logged in forever, my computer at work seems to have that ability. My home one does not unless I am out of state (which makes little sense to me). It may be computer variable.

Oh yeah, I used to have this problem a lot. Sometimes I'd stay logged in, sometimes it would continually log me out. Sometimes I would log in, go to a thread, log in a gain, hit reply, and be unable to reply because it had logged me out.



But lately I found, like Beocat says, that unchecking the "remember me" box works and I usually stay logged in for about a day like that. Its counterintuitive but it seems to work.

I wish this fabled "remember me" box solution worked for me.

I've tried it many times and I can verify it does absolutely nothing for me. I've been having this problem for 6 months.

Doesn't work for everyone I guess.

I've been trying to find one of these threads about this problem that runs to five or six pages' worth, and the site's own search is failing miserably, but so far, I've found 37, and this is my log from the last five days:

In my case, it stopped for several hours after I complained, in my comment to one of these threads (Hex-someone's that has a Bioware reply in iyt). Weird deal there!

(In Edit now) For convenience, I keep multiple tabs going at once, for various forums here. Two hours after adding this comment, and about twelve hours after the previous incidents of being logged out by the site's software, I've had a new incident just now, when I refreshed the view of the tab I have open on the Dragon Age Origins General Subjects forum.

Now, attempting to post this newer comment, I've gotten an error message saying that I cannot access a "restricted area", so I assume THIS particular browser tab is being logged off BEFORE the updated post can be logged into the database!

Less than a half hour later, at 10:45 AM CDT, the DAO PC Tech Forum's browser tab just got logged out. And three minute after *THAT*, the tab for the Mass Effect (1) PC Tech forum did the same!

Then, at noon, the tab for the DA2 registered owners' general discussion got logged out. I took a break from the 'net, so it couldn't log me out for three hours, but just as soon as I was back, at 3:45 PM, it logged me out of the regular DA2 General Forum this time.

I have been been busy with RL for a few hours, and now it is 9:20 PM, and the DAO PC Tech forum is the one being stupid this time. The next day, it's up to the same crap at 10:00 AM! In the DAO Tech forum. Twice in a row when FireFox "reload" was keyed in. DAMN! Practically three times in a row -- I got by with maybe two page changes before it happened once again!

I got a free (of site errors) period for almost four hours when I was in and out fairly frequently, but got hit once again, just now, in the Mass Effect 2 Tech Forum this time. Forty five minutes after that, same crap again, in the same tab for the same forum!

At 8:30 PM, it's back to screwing with the DAO Tech forum again, twice in less than a single minute! Ridiculous & unnecessary! Today, Tuesday, I haven't been visiting the forums much, but when I did, they were still BROKEN. It logged me out in the middle of editing a new post, at 1:15 PM.

Between 1:15 and 5:00 was RL stuff, but just as soon as I tried to look at that same forum again, it was broken once again, at 5:05 PM! This is very stupid stuff, people! Only three hours later, and literally a half dozen refreshed pages since the prior breakage, the Mass Effect 2 PC Tech Forum failed this time.

Wednesday moring, at 11:30 AM, in the Social Forums' Site Help forum to update my comments about this error, and as soon as I do, then it logs me off there! Less than half an hour later, only a few tabs refreshed between, and now the DAO PC Tech Forum has logged me out once again. It's really getting aggravating! Right in the middle of attempting to use the forum's atrociously awful "search" looking up how many separate threads about this problem hae been posted, at 12:30 PM, I got logged out once more.

So far, I had located three for "log out", and twelve for "logging out", then 20 for "logged in/out"

And, of course, once again, at 1:00 PM, I got logged out again and it was DAO, which seems affected most.

I agree, happends for me sometimes, but it just seems like a minor bug.
