 I know the mere idea of this is going to cause some people to go into paroxysms, but in a Dark setting I think the possibility of the main character engaging in an incestuous relationship with his sister could make for some very interesting role play opportunities.  Not only do you have to deal with the taboo nature of the relationship, but the added dynamics of dealing with a sibling.  This is the sort of "pushing the envelope"  that I think Dragon Age as a setting is ripe for.  

As an aside, I have to wonder if Bioware is going to take advantage of the sibling issue and make Bethany a potential villain at some point.  Sure it has been done many times, but still makes for good story telling when done well.

Seriously tis a risky but bold move and could definitely play off. My Hawke is going to be a selfish evil little C***. Incest would be one of the many defining factors to add to that.

You can ease some tensions by answering the question of whether she's adopted, half or full blooded. Inquiring minds would like to know after all.

Okay, not quite. They get enough flack for having sex in the game. Can you imaging the reaction to something as utterly repugnant as incest? Why would they bring that on themselves?

lol I don't think they're going to do that. They already get crap for having sex in the games; imagine how everyone will react if you can do it with your sister?

It's too taboo, and it would probably offend a lot of people. Personally, I really like dark stuff, so it wouldn't matter to me, but I don't see it happening.

I think Morrally killing a child and Incest are on the same level. You could do one in DAO why not the other. I wouldn't partake in it but it would be nice to have the option and certainly adds more depth (For better or worse) to Hawke.

Honestly I wouldn't kick up a stink if it was an option (theres a lot of roleplay oportunities with that, hell one of my alienage elves was secretly in love with his cousin Shianni) however its probably in Bioware's best interest that they don't try and cross that line.

Incest in a BW game ? I'm not seeing it. Though the implementation *could* make for some rather dramatic stories.

It's totally cool to kill people. I have firends who were raging while watching Carpenter's The Thing because it featured dogs getting killed.
