After all, the Dragon Age team has already shown they can do quite a bit as far as NPC character interaction with Origins.
I'm sure it would be much more involved to weave in a romance, but not at all impossible. It could add a lot to the game. Now imagine your character is romancing someone that another NPC in your party is romancing. You could have game-altering reprecussions there.

Wouldn't it be cool if the player's character could foster romances between two of the members in your group? What'ya think?
Romances between party members should only occur if
a) The player steers two party members together

Its even more fun to role-play it as a half orc.

I've given this some thought, too, but I think it's highly unlikely. Given that DA2's focus on the main character and "Hawke's story," I doubt that they'd do something that focuses on the NPCs so much.

That's what I suggested in the Bethany romance thread - her not romancing the PC, but one of the NPCs...

Especially interesting if you and a companion hitting on the same girl ... could get ugly ...

Only if you can slay the both of them during their act of lovemaking
could be interesting too, your LI can actually cheat on you with your best buddy ...
Just imagine, Shepard before the suicide mission, commander office scene, Shepard enters and finds Tali and Garrus in his bed ....

Romances between party members should only occur if
a) The player steers two party members together
orThe two party members are not romanceable.
That's no fun.

the idea of bethany romancing one of the companions would be pretty awesome
and you chould choose whether to encourage it, break it up, or steal the love interest off of her and have some sibling rivalry

No exceptions.
Which makes this idea even more attractive.

And if you pass the dexterity check you can catch them in the act and impale both with a spear. A poisoned spear. With small spikes.AlexXIV wrote...

Why those conditions?
I think two party members coming together without you "forcing" them together is more natural and emmersive. I also think a love triangle without the main character in the center would be very interesting.
