50 bucks says she'll join the enemy near the end after either getting kidnapped and going all stockholm on them or voluntarily join them whilst pulling a Face Heel Turn because her sibling did something she disagreed with, at some point near the end you get to kill her. Emotional engagement ensures.

I hope she will have in DA2 a role like Imoen had in BG.

I could really connect with her like a brother do with her sister..Don't touch her beacuse I might kill you !!! And as I was in romance with Aerie it was so nice to live two different feelings in the same moment.. The love for my sweet Aerie and the great affect for my little sister Imoen..

It would be nice to live again that situation, becuase it was so complete and realistic..

So she'll either

1) Die in a last stand

2)Get killed saving Hawke and do the whole"Avenge me"

3) Betray Hawke for money,love, power etc

4)Be a good companion throughout the game and voice of reason

5) Have no real purpose except for the introduction and tutorial section of dragon Age.



Im going for 1 or 2 and I'll be really surprised if shes still there 5 hours into my playthrough.

I really, really, really hope she is a permanent character who you can only kill off, if you want, in the end. I would really want a deep relationship with a sibling char....it would be awesome.

I just have this feeling that Bethany will only be around during the "tutorial" phase just like Ser Gilmore in the Human Noble Origin and just like Miari in Awakenings. Just a typical archetype for fantasy games seems to be you have a mentor or friend in the tutorial stage who teaches you and looks after you and then dies and its all up to you. Additionally since it starts in Lothering I think she'll probably get killed off in the attack. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she was.

Actually Imoen in Baldur's Gate was your half-sister and she didn't die to the end. I don't think they are pulling another Mhairi on her.
