She could always just call Hawke "brother" or "sister." It's not THAT unusual. And it's not like she's necessarily going to have to refer to Hawke as something in every line. I imagine for the most part it'll be obvious from context that she's talking to you.
On a side note, can anyone read what the options are (or someone with an actual copy of the magazine) in that scan? It looks like the bottom one is "Then we fight." And the red glowing fist is pretty straightforward. Top one kind of looks like "I am right behind you," and the middle one looks like "Neither _________". Or perhaps there are 3 words in the middle one.

It says"neither can they", the top option is " I ´m right beside you" the bottom one "Then we fight"

Cool thanks...doesn't really reveal anything, but it was driving me crazy.

On another note, I have to say, I really like how the shot is put together...a closeup of Hawke with his sister behind. Especially if he's talking to her, it's a pretty interesting dramatic angle. In DA:O they'd just be standing there facing each other and we'd get some flat, wide-angle shot.

That's not always the case.  The girl in Neverwinters Nights 2 was a Mage and she died in the first part of the game.

That's not always the case.  The girl in Neverwinters Nights 2 was a Mage and she died in the first part of the game.

True, the female warrior dies much later in NWN2.

It's hard to say when we don't know what Hawke is responding to.

Although NWN2 wasn't BioWare... so we cannot really put much into this.

I'm going to be honest; i'm black and frankly i'm tired of always feeling like I have to make white characters just because everyone else is white. It really ruins the role playing experience for me.

Same, but some times you just have to bite the bullet depending on the setting. If I was running a Pen and Paper campaign in feudal Japan I'd expect most of the group to be playing Japanese characters.

Truth be told Thedas and actually the whole continent is like Europe with a bit of it conquered by the "ottomans" (qunari) so it is exactly because roleplay reasons that the people are white

Yeah, I can totally see the resemblance.

Hawke has great bone structure (those cheekbones!), a sharper nose, and deeper-set eyes than our dear Sheploo. Sheploo looks kind of bland and has a longer face.

I understand it is harder to notice because the dirt and blood and bushy eyebrows and beard, but see the bone structure of the face of Hawke

Well from the DA2 image it looks like all the options are to fight the enemy, just different type of emotion and phrased slightly different.

actually, that is where I believe that beard and eyebrows came from
