For the record, I never use New Game+ in games... I just make a new character for each playthrough.

That said, I don't see how it doesn't fit DA2 specifically. It's a completely metagame/OOC feature -- what does it matter if the game is a traditional RPG or an action-RPG?

Not that it matters... It's not like people would be forced to use it anyway. If you don't like it, don't use it! Ta-da!
