I've also found the latest drivers fixed my problem, and I was directed to them by NVIDA support:

Hi Brian,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I was out of the office for two weeks. We recently released driver 258.96 which should fix this problem with Neverwinter Nights 2. If you havem't already please download and give the latest 258.96 a try, I've included the download link below.

I just installed the above latest driver on my Windows 7 machine with an NVIDIA GTX 285 2GB processor. All graphics problems are now gone. Thanks for the reminder!

I can confirm my problems are gone also. nvidia9800GTX+

Description:  Well I had the Sky take over the world prior to updating my Video Drivers. However after updating my Video Driver, and I could see the ground beneath my feet, I noticed that The Front wall  of Cross Road Keep, and the Wall before the Golem at Ammon Jerros Haven are pure black. However the walls that use a similar template to the Outside wall of Haven are normal (IE: Neverwinter, Port llast) .

I am at rather a loss as the new drivers were my biggest hope, which solved one part of the problem.

Attached in the link is a Screenshot of the blackness on the keep.

I'm currently using 257.21 32bit on XP with the 8800 GTX.
I got the 'Sky-Bug' too but not in every Level.
Indoorlevels are not affected and some outdoorlevels too. It seems that the most outdoorlevels replaces all textures with the skyone. So i entered on the 'console'
"##debugmode 1"
"##sky 0"
"##debugmode 0"
That turns off the Sky but you have to do this after every load again ...

I will try the new driver from nvidia 266.58 WHQL

258.96 apparently fixes this... but post back here with your results and help others who are going through the same thing.

Hello!

I have problems with NWN2 Platinum bought from russian Akella distributor.
The problem is in video.
My card is GFX XFX Geforce GT240, 512m, win XP SP3, Core 2 Duo 2.4MHz.
Detonator 266.58, all previos versions was the same effect.
Most time it works, but looks sometimes something happens with videomemory as could be seen here:

This happens when you're missing textures.

I'm also having Oleg_Kr's problem (the posted pictures are exactly what's happening for me). Game works fine for a few minutes then hangs system for a few (10+ seconds) and then all textures are broken. I say system rather than game because any background sounds (such as music from Winamp) will also hang. Each time the game hangs, there seems to be a chance that the system will flat out crash (no bluescreen, just restarts).

This is NOT an overheating problem, I've run the temperature monitoring program for my motherboard as well as GPU-z for my graphics card and, while the game does move the temperatures from high 30 degrees to early 40s it does not go higher at any point.

Playing with all graphics settings set to low allows for a good 10 minutes or so of gameplay before the hangs start happening, as opposed to the 5 minutes on highest graphics.

This problem happens on multiple versions of the Forceware driver. It first happened in 270.61, then I tried updating to the latest driver version (275.33) and problem persisted. On advice posted in this topic I tried downgrading to 196.21 and new problems arose. The game would often seem to run out of memory for textures (even on lowest settings) if you zoomed out too far or picked certain camera angles and would display everything but lighting effects (if on) and characters as black textures. However it was playable for a little longer before system started to hang.

Judging by how Oleg_Kr is also running a GT 240, I'm guessing that might be the cause of the problem somehow?

^^^ less than 10 gigs free on a 750 gig primary drive where the game is installed to. Iirc the game requires 10 gigs free.

That little percentage is bad in general.

Honestly, it doesn't usually have that little space on it. It's just been that full for the past few days because I've had to do a fair amount of video encoding. Anyway, I shifted stuff around so I had some space on my C drive. It didn't help. :(

Any other suggestions on how to fix it?

--EDIT--

Updating the driver and freeing up 40 gb of space actually seems to have fixed the crash/hang problem. For some odd reason, setting the texture quality to high fixed the other problem I was having with all the textures sometimes going black.

So yeah, looks like it's a harddrive space issue. Thank you very much for pointing it out.
