The way Bioware has been operating recently leads me to suspect Hawke

Yes...we are all thinking Rise to power, most important individual in Thedas etc...but watch out!

I remember how we were drooling over Morrigan and her beauty in the early days of DAO. At the time David, Sheryl and Mary were playing along, allowing us to have the image of a beautiful and true love interest

So what happens? Slam! Dragon age comes out and Morrigan is one conniving, power hungry, manipulative witch...It was just as if the devs went "Ok folks, go ahead and try to love her now...muhahahaha"

The point here is to watch out what you believe about Mike Hawke...All those images of grandeur. You may be in for a shocking surprise when the truth comes out

What are you talking about? We are the ones in control of Hawke. If you were talking about companions I would understand.

I am saying that you may end up playing a character under circumstances you did not expect. All those promises of power and fame may come with a terrible cost or some other overwhelming sour twist

I'd be shocked if Gaider haven't planned some shocking surprise for us already. The way he uses plothammer...

However, I'm still anxious to see whatever he planned.

Posted ImagePosted ImageOk, that makes more sense. I'm sure there'll be twists; that's just a part of good writing.

I certainly hope so. More twists mean more story.

I suspect Hawke too. In the Library with the Candlestick.

And yeah, Bioware always have a luverly twist. Heck for all we could suspect Hawke is the reincarnation of the Maker! Or an old god himself! Even Revan!

"But I have my memories Bastilla! I am RandomlyGeneratedName!"

Somehow this Hawke is not affected by the Taint in all those darkspawn he is killing...he is also not a greywarden.

That should tell you that there is already a twist in the character coming your way...

It's just a gameplay mechanic. Our non-Warden companions in Origins never got sick while slaughtering the Darkspawn.
