This could be an interesting idea. I often found it hard to pick multiple specializations for a character whom I based around a specialization, and having upgraded versions instead would help.
Also, I think we should see a Tranquil specialization for mages.
Must Read Cool Specialization idea

maybe make it more complex?
Some spec trees, for example, you can be "Blood Warrior" if you are "Arcane Warrior" or "Reaver"
its like youll get 12 first specializations, 8 second and 4 final epic uberpwnage specialization.
So, you can be Mage > Arcane Warrior > Blood Warrior > Nightmare Warrior
or Warrior > Reaver > Spirit Fighter > Nightmare Warrior
which will resolve in two different Nightmare Warrior builds.
and more different. The system would look like this: youll get 16 T1, 8 T2 and 4 T3 specializations.
Always 2 of one tier specializations qualify for higher tier specialization, which makes couple different paths to reach the final specialization youre looking for

I would like to see this, I personally love playing as a rogue.
A rogue has to have a high Cunning, this sometimes helped during certain conversations.
Did the Mages or Wariors have something like this? If not I hope they get something like it in DA2.
And I don't mean Intimedation for Warriors, because everyone had that.

Not a bad idea. Better than having different specialisations that have nothing to do with each other.
How dare you imply my Templar-Reaver and Bloodmage-Spirit Healer don't have anything to do with each other.

Like your idea. This is just speculation though. Really hope one of the developers is reading this and put this in DA2.

I support this, upgraded Templar class would be nice, although most people call it a usless class, I took pleasure in being able to call myself such. I like being a holy warrior, but the perks are quite limited to kicking mage ass and wearing special armor, an upgrade could rectify this. The title of Knight Commander sounds powerful...(Okeer voice) It has weight.

I agree with you on the langelog. I like the Templar (mainly for the uniform)

I kinda wish they would just expand the classes and instead of just picking a single class of the warrior/rogue/mage trifecta, you could actually pck a "sub class" that was an expanded version of the specializations, meaning you get more than just 4 feats to make a warrior a templar..... seems a little underwhelming when thats the only real difference ebtween a warrior and templar, 4 friggin abilities?

Kotor and Kotor2 expanded the different classes and I liked that. As well as mass effect a little. Hopefully they'll put that in the sequel.
