Okay, I've had a minor issue at this location for a while now but this is the first time it's ever been game-breaking. The cut scene at the Scenic View (Observe action) you can bring Ashley/Kaidan to at your first trip to the Citadel is giving me problems. Before this, I would get to the part where Ashley says 'That your professional opinion, sir?' before it would give me the scenic Loading screen, but it would eventually cut back to the dialogue once the (presumably) next line was already finished and I could continue the conversation from there. However, this time I still get the scenic Loading screen and then the whole screen goes black and nothing happens. I have to Alt-Tab out of the game and end the process.

Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening? The only difference between this new runthrough and the prevous ones is that this is the first non-default male Shepard I've ever played but I can't see how that would affect anything.

Just encountered the same problem on my second runthrough with standard shepard. Ashley gives her snide line(which is more or less my opinion every time he says that<g>), and then a loading screen....and blackness. Things presumably still work, cause I can shoot and change weapons and stuff(I hear the sounds)...but no picture. upping gamma don't help. reloading don't help. Will try running some maintenance on the system(defrag, that sort of thing) but doubt it will have much impact...

A sort of solution that seems to work for me. tap the spacebar. once or a handful of times I haven't bothered to figure out yet. But it seems to prevent the 'no image' thing...and get me my dosage of 'backfiring ashley-quip'. :P

The exact same thing happens to me every time! It is definitely a bug, not a crash. Seems to me there's a response-/script trigger missing... When the screen goes black I can still interact with the surroundings and use interface to reload. However I feel the same way, it's a real game-breaker not being able to acces this unique little feature in terms of depth of story.

Hope this thread is revised sometime soon. Need the help!
