Anyway, to answer the question, it all depends on the situation. If Hawke finds out she is devious and plans to kill one of his/her companions, then yes, if she just remains a helpful mentor/guide, then I don't really have a reason to "kill" her.

If Flemeth can be a party member, than I'll take her, because she can shape shift into a dragon. Can you imagine how useful that will be?
However, if she's just an NPC and up to no good again, then yeah I'll kill her.

However, there's no reason to think that she wont show up in some new body. It would take a good explanation, but it's possible.

Sorry, but Claudia Black's voice is trumped by Liz Sroka.
That's for sure. I loved Liz as the title character in Dexter's Laboratory.

I hope she didn't succeed at killing Morrigan though, that would be a waste.

I'll be very interested to see what her outlook is like in DA2. I wonder how much she'll have to say regarding the Warden and Morrigan.

I wonder what will her story be at DA2 since Hawke probably don't know her as our Warden do.
Don't be to sure, Hawke may know Flemeth better than our old pc.

Morrigan was told by Flemeth to do the ritual, so she originally joined the party for that purpose. Then, if you chose to get closer to Morrigan, she would start to feel a little bit worse for having to betray you in the end. Then, because she's interested in learning more about her mother, Morrigan requests that you get Flemeth's Grimmoire to learn more information. From what she learns in the first grimmoire (that Flemeth wants to "absorb" her), she decides that Flemeth needs to be stopped, at least temporarily. Then when she gets Flemeth's real grimmoire, she learns about the god child. After you "killed" Flemeth, I think she probably decided she didn't need to perform the ritual anymore. But once she learned about the power of the god child, she decided she needed to go through with the ritual.
Now here I see two reasons why she would still perform the ritual. One: she wants to gain power, or Two: she doesn't want anyone else to get control of the power. To me, the second one seems more likely.
How does Flemeth fit into all this? Well whether or not she was alive or "dead," she would still come back anyways since she's "immortal." So losing the grimmoire was not an issue because either way Morrigan would perform the ritual and Flemeth would still be around to claim the child's power. So basically, I'm assuming she's still evil, though I suppose she could also be choosing to make sure no one else gets the power of the god child.
So now having thought all that through...I guess we could have anywhere from 0 to 2 evil witches running around. I'm under the impression that it's 1 witch, and that the witch is Flemeth. I suppose I'll have to learn a little bit more info. We'll see how it goes, lol.
And perhaps who's good and who's evil depends on what your choices were in DA:O. Maybe if you chose to "kill" Flemeth, she's evil. But if you chose to "betray" Morrigan, then Morrigan is evil. And then there's also the dark ritual choice itself. Very complicated

Wouldn´t possessing the child (or whatever it is, Morrigan seems to know but doesn´t tell) mean its body would lose the power?
Possibly, since a lot of it is based off of "the soul of an old god." But that may not be the case. Remember that Flemeth prefers that her children be mages since it makes the transition easier. I don't know if this also means that she retains some or all of their power (which would explain how she is so powerful, besides having lived for so long).

On my main playthrough I never killed Flemeth, despite giving Morrigan the black grimoire. I thought that Flemeth saved my ass when I was in the tower of Ishal, so what reason could I have for killing her, despite hearing the pretty horrific tales from Morrigan. There was at least one instance where Flemeth actually sought revenge for her husband's murder, if she was just a heartless witch she probably would never have cared to carry out her revenge.
Maybe Morrigan was the bad guy all along... [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wondering.png[/smilie]
If given the opportunity, it depends on how the game is played out until then, its dependent on too many factors which have yet to be illuminated.

Because people I kill should stay dead.
Want to kill her even if she turns up with a new, young and sexy body and wants to join the party?
EDIT: Wouldn't it be ironic if now Flemeth asks t he main hero to kill Morrigan?
