Hey,
I was wonering whether insanity would be easier with a new game character (i.e. a level 1) or with my level 60 soldier?
Thanks
Best way to tackle insanity.

Either I find, because as a 60 the enemies adjust on the second playthrough. Or at least I thought they did so IMO it's just as easy to start from scratch as to re-use a toon.

Yeah, in ME 1 Insanity is for high level characters, i think.

Solider. Max out Immunity asap.

Without a doubt easier for a level 60 soldier, especially if you've developed master immunity. Personally I find it a bit of a snooze fest. Since both you and the enemy will be popping immunity and the battles tend to be long and tedious, not hard just tedious.

Soldiers are without a doubt head and shoulders above the rest of the classes in ME1. If you're looking for an easy insanity run go with soldier. I did my first insanity run with a Vanguard+sniper rifle and didn't have too much trouble.

Actually Infiltrator can be almost as good or better than a soldier. Both have immunity, but with the infiltrator because of tech skills, you can pack along Wrex and Ashley with Immunity and as a bonus get warp for Wrex. Pistols have best DPS with master marksman, so you don't have to worry about damage, and Infiltrator get medium armor but with Max immunity who cares.
I just ran a Infiltrator though recently running this crew, and was unstoppable.

Do not attempt Insanity with a level 1 character.
I did it with an Adept. My mind is still recovering from the debacle.

Do it with a NG+ lvl 60 character. It is really easy.

I didn't know NG+ existed when I was doing my Insanity run and OH BOY the pain. My weapons got overheated before I could finish Saren's assains off, then they jut popped their shields on and their HP got back to full before I mowed their shields doww again. And rinse and repeat.

I beat it with a level 1 Engineer. It's very possible but get ready for a lot of reloading at the beginning...

I found insanity to be fairly easy as soldier and uh... sentinel i think it was (2 years ago, give me a break) but nothing compared to insanity on ME2

If it's a class that is already lvl 50 - 60, an Adept is godly too. Soldier is, but so is a well built Adept.

Adepts can rip apart the space-time continuum if they wanted to

Snipe with a Shotgun and pick the Tanker class.

use your soldier and choose the soldier class. the armor from the aegis pack will help you allot. i would pick probably miranda and kasumi... though if you want to look badass then pick grunt and legion... claymore, widow, and revenant FTW

Well being as I only play ME on insanity (went normal on my first playthrough in both games but upped it to insanity thereafter) I never found it noticeably easier to use a l60 when compared to starting from scratch.
