Yes, just what we needed--yet another crazy symbiote. Venom was an unexpected success, so much so that he got his own titles, became an anti-hero, and eventually had a glorious, wonderful death. But they just wouldn't keep him dead. i don't like Carnage and i don't think I've read very much wtih him in it.Tooneyman wrote...
Yes Spider man is king. I don't care. One of the best issues was when Carniage was introduce. Who wants to debate. I'll own you!
And yes, Spider-Man is one of my favourite titles. I love the character and wish he could catch a break once in a while. Unfortunately, bad things keep happening to him. This would be fine if they didn't retcon much of the best parts of his run with One More Day. i mean, COME ON! Things were progressing nicely, good things were happening along with the bad, but the character was growing and learning and feeling out these new relationships with people. And then they threw out all that growth. Feh.
I'm a little behind on my reading, but I hear the Gauntlet is supposed to be really cool. If the rest of the Gauntlet is as good as what they did to improve Electro, I'm going to be one happy camper.

You can't say Carnage was just another crazy symbiote. He was a whole new level of crazy. Did stuff Venom didn't even think to. As for OMD, I loved it. It may just be me but Mary Jane all that great. To me it just seems like they killed off Gwen and Slowly turned MJ in a copy of her. Plus, OMD sets up the Spider-Man Ms. Marvel romance that I have been dieing to see for years now. I haven't read it yet , but I hear the second half of Gauntlet was disappointing.

Deadpool, She-Hulk, X-23, Pixie. Marvel is just awesomesauce. I rarely buy any other comics because there's just too much Marvel stuff I want!
You just listed four of my top ten Marvel characters. You have good taste.

I've got a few reprints of Wolverine: Origins somewhere, but I've not read them. In the UK we have a reprint series called "Wolverine & Deadpool", and it consists of Origins and it had some Secret Invasion-era Deadpool. Not sure what it's reprinting right now, mind you. One had a Great Lakes Avengers comic, though!

Funny thing about the films is that I remember most of these stories from my time; nothing much of any substance seemed to appear later.
And do not give up on the Wolverine franchise yet. In the final scenes, Logan is drinking in an Asian bar which may lend itself to the written origin accounts.

I liked the Wolverine movie. I think Hugh Jackman does an excellent job as Logan. Personally, I'm not a Wolverine fan though - he's like Spiderman (and DC's Superman & Batman) in that he's one of the "poster" characters. Everyone knows who Wolverine and Spiderman are!

If they make a dead pool movie, it wouldn't be surprising if they shove wolverine in because he's popular.
That was sort of the problem with Xmen, might as well as have called it "wolverine... and friends".

If? They are making a Deadpool movie. Wolverine's involvement depends what story (or stories) they use for Deadpool, as only a few of them after Deadpool's creation really involve Wolvie. Yes, there's the huge rivalry but Wolverine is often busy with the X-Men and Deadpool's often busy being a merc and getting himself into really weird situations with Bob, Agent of HYDRA.Rubbish Hero wrote...

I can imagine the Deadpool movie being about him against Hawkeye (or is it Bullseye? I get them mixed up) or perhaps even Tiger Shark. Would be nice if Domino had a cameo, too!
