Grant Morrisons Doom patrol. The final word in post modern absurdity and the greatest comic book run ( IMO) of all time. http://goodcomics.co...m-patrol-19-63/ ((guess that makes me a dc guy? or is it vertigo?))

One of my favorite runs of all time. Sadly, I've felt neither the Doom Patrol or Grant Morrision were nearly as good every since.

Though oddly enough, Danny the Street is in the new Teen Titans book. As a teen street. (probably best not to think about it too hard)

No kidding man. How else do you pick up the doom patrol after that? Grant Morrison threw everything he had at that run and the result was a wonderfully character driven bit of mind @$!#ery . It works on its own and ends with a bang. Grant has come close but had not quite yet matched it but i don't blame him...

A teen street? really? haha I have to check that out

Plus, I believe there is a JL story about a certain Human, Batman, beating the rest of the JL, SINGLEHANDEDLY!!

There's a story about Ra's al-Ghul (Tower of Babel) taking out the JL after stealing Batman's contingency plans.

The most ridiculous feat is Batman killing Darkseid in Final Crisis.

Also, the unbreakable lasso of truth that no one can escape from? He slips out of it easily.

I hate Batman.

Anyway when you get a good writer working on Batman, he can be a great character.

Batman's great when it isn't a fanboy who thinks he's perfect writing him.  Same with Wolverine.  The problem is that the characters fanboys have become thier writers.

The only times when "fanboys" were good at writing Batman is the DC animated universe and Batman: TBATB (lol same writers).

Since I don't think the writers thought they were perfect at writing him(but they were;)), it also helps that they are just cartoons and not the main comics.

Question: Has anyone been following the Avengers vs. X-Men thing? I read the first 3 main issues and I gotta say, it's pretty awful.

Blame Joe Quesada for it.

I haven't read anything in like 10 years, but I do like Joe's artwork. But I did hear he made some questionable decisions.

He sold Spider-Man's marragie to the Devil!  He couldn't even have the decency to think of a good way to break up Spidey and MJ!  He sold the marrige to the Devil!!!!

Seriously? Well, I always thought Peter could've used someone more like Felicia anyway. I do remember they killed off Aunt May a few years ago. Or did they undo that too?

Brand New Day undid that as well.

On a positive note since Slott took over the title starting with Big Time(654), Peter has gotten a job where he's been able to take advantage of his scientific mind to benefit himself as Spidey and as Peter Parker.

Its incredibly awful, pointless, and makes both teams worse for the experience. Everyone throws all logic out the window purely so they have a reason to fight each other.

But then, DC did the same thing to their entire line.

Joe Quesada and Jim Lee are both very talented artists...but putting them in charge of making decisions like this probably wasn't the best of calls.

It's kind of funny how every Spider-Man character has had character development but Peter. He will be a teenager forever...

Also Joe Quesada really hates the X-Men for some reason.

I feel sorry for that poor s.o.b.

Peter Parker is like Marvels kicking boy. Even when he seems to catch a break he just goes back to Zero.

It's really bad that Flash has had more character development than Peter. He was Peter's bully back in high school...:?

And just like that... I don't care anymore.

I started watching Young Justice. I heard good things. Season One was good. I had a good time watching it. Then: Five Years Later.

Dear DC,

You f*cked up. I don't care anymore.

SpiderFan.

The show is still just as good, if not a bit better(time will tell).

And it was Greg Weisman's choice.

I was pretty hyped for it (especially after they released the promo picture of Iron Man and Magneto fighting), but then I found out it all resolved around Hope "the friggin Messiah" Summers, and I couldn't be bothered.

Also, have you guys heard that Deadpool's going to become an insane serial killer who's killing all the Marvel heroes and villains? WTF is Marvel doing?

I hate X-Men, the only Marvel comic series I still follow is New Avengers since it features Spider-Woman.

The Deadpool thing isn't 616.
Just a fun little What-If type thing. To be honest, I'm intrested.

Probably a What-if Story, I remember them doing the same thing with the Punisher several times,
Anyway,
Anyone want talk about how DC's animated films are far better than Marvels Animated films?
