Stories should have permanent, irreversable endings that change the world that its set upon. if it does not have this, then its not story.
This is the main reason I rarely bother with superhero comics these days. There is no point. Reading them is like running a treadmill. It only feels as if a story is going somewhere. The rare times a well written story has enduring consequences that are not shoehorned in for shock value is when those comics shine. I prefer DC and Marvel in movies or cartoons these days since what happens, happened and is rarely taken back.
Also chalk me up disappointed that Power Girl is not returning. A BSN friend got me interested enough in her series after praising the Palmiotti-Gray-Conner run of issues. I bought the first few and actually grew to like the character despite a design that by most accounts should have sent me into eye rolling oblivion. It just felt kinda old school in a fun way. Guess I should be glad I did not invest too much time or money into it.
