Yes Spider man is king. I don't care. One of the best issues was when Carniage was introduce. Who wants to debate. I'll own you!

Yes, just what we needed--yet another crazy symbiote. Venom was an unexpected success, so much so that he got his own titles, became an anti-hero, and eventually had a glorious, wonderful death. But they just wouldn't keep him dead. i don't like Carnage and i don't think I've read very much wtih him in it.

And yes, Spider-Man is one of my favourite titles. I love the character and wish he could catch a break once in a while. Unfortunately, bad things keep happening to him. This would be fine if they didn't retcon much of the best parts of his run with One More Day. i mean, COME ON! Things were progressing nicely, good things were happening along with the bad, but the character was growing and learning and feeling out these new relationships with people. And then they threw out all that growth. Feh.

I'm a little behind on my reading, but I hear the Gauntlet is supposed to be really cool. If the rest of the Gauntlet is as good as what they did to improve Electro, I'm going to be one happy camper.

The retconning is why I have never been able to get into superhero comic books.  I don't have the time to get invested in a character only to have him reset back to zero again because they didn't like that the character had grown.  And not letting characters stay dead is another issue I have with Marvel and DC, especially when the character was already played out and had a death that was suitable for his concept only to come back to sell a few more issues.  If they don't like the power creep they should learn to reign it from the start or have characters actually die and stay dead, both would solve the issue.

I just don't like how the story never ends. That's why I like japanese comics. Don't want to kill of Superman? That's what legacy characters are for.

Did some looking, they're keeping GL Kyle Rayner. He is leading a team of Rainbow Lanterns. Also, you gotta admit the new Harley Quinn looks pretty beast.

Yeah... no. I loathe this redesign of Harley. Call me biased since I am used to her BTAS incarnation where she debuted. I prefer her with a smaller frame, chest, and, you know, *clothes*. It looks like they are trying way too hard make her look insane. Harley had a chair missing in her kitchen before, but she was not a cracked walnut. The mismatched hair dye and face paint makes her look loonier than she is.

Heard about that I'm mildly interested. Personly, I'm just glad it's not Hal. I hate how they retconed his breakdown. It was one of my favorite stories.

The relaunch Harley is going to be more insane (she and her team are all on death row) but I do think you are right the design needs work.

The more I see and hear about DC's Reboot, the less I regret having to give up Comics last year!

The entire thing is ridiculous to me and I see DC creating more of a jumping off point for long-time fans than a jumping on point for new ones.

That Pic of Harley just stinks! Her Character had really grown into a very complex mix of a little craziness mixed with a sick sense of fun and she was interesting. There she just looks like a Psycho.

Their flimsy justification does nothing to put me at ease.

No kidding. I have no idea what it would take to get me back into superhero comics. What I do know is this reboot is not it.

What they are doing to superman is a horrendous abomination and an insult to truth, justice, and the american way. That is all.

It's still not really a reboot guys.;)

Also it's not a justification it is what they want to do with her character for better or worse.

My hope is (and remember, I haven't read any comics since Blackest Night ended) that this is all a temporary thing coming out of Flashpoint and somehow we'll get a bit of this and there will be another Event that sets everything right...

Flash's have a way of messing with Reality...

By the way Blackest Night is still in the timeline, again not much of a reboot is it?=]

You know what I want a full reboot (the best plots would show up of course, with new takes on said plots) it would be a lot better than "lets get rid of some things and keep some things for no real reason! and don't forget the new outfits!" view that DC has right now.

But whatever I got Blue Beetle back so I am happy for the most part.

Again with spiderman, remember when he revealed his identity to the public and the kingpin ends up killing his grandmother? Wouldve been interesting. but no. dues ex machina, he makes a deal with mephisto and everything is back again. I might as well watch an episode of fairly odd parents.

Stories should have permanent, irreversable endings that change the world that its set upon. if it does not have this, then its not story.

OMG they really did this?  I read the part where he unmasked in front of the media and the craziness that followed but they just undid it all?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU this is why I stopped reading comics... because when I do they always end up sucking.

I hated that as well.

Dan Slott has been doing a pretty good job with Spidey though. I'm looking forward to Spider-Island.

Thunderbolts, Journey Into Mystery, Avengers Academy, Black Panther: Man Without Fear are also very good reads though. Definitely recommended.

@Cutlass Jack: I hated Bucky's death as well. That was just so badly done. Didn't even look like Fraction was trying to give him a half-decent send-off, but just filling the event-death quota for the sake of it.

Actually, Spiderman exchanged his marriage for his aunt May's life.

I like it. At least now she looks dangerous. Her old look was oddly adorable. Villians are not supposed to be adorable.

Grown into? That's been the character since she was created. Harley hasn't grown an inch.

It was worse than it sounds. And I just can´t read the character after that. He no longer deserves to be presented as a hero, yet he is. All for Quesada´s hate for the a married Spiderman.

I will fanboy so frickin hard if they get the old teen titans back together. ZOMG STARFIRE!!! I dunno what to say, after the titans, she dropped off my map. Its been too long, any1 know what happened to her?

Harley quinn, she never struck me as crazy, maybe thats because i never followed her character, even in dcau. But i will say this though. she is a brilliant psychologist. She is one of the few people who could figure out who batman is.

I remember talkin to her in dcuo and she literally broke down batman's psychological profile for me. if she just pieced it together...

The only issue of the new Spidey that I have bought I got because it had Joe Kelly writing Deadpool.  I will sacrifice every priniple I have for Joe Kelly Deadpool.

Otherwise, I'm on the Spider-man boycott.

This is why I scoff at all the movie haters. The movies feel like the only medium that is getting it right at this point.

Oh and the Batman games now lol.

the thing that the serious comic movies have going for them is a closed continuity and progression that a 2hr or so long movie can bring.
