I thought during the Anvil quest if you sided with branka, Oghren would turn on you, alas he did not :S
Any tips on what actions Oghren would hate my main char doing. Any huge minuses to any particular actions?
Im trying to "lose" him permanently, preferably dead.
FYI its my evil rogues walkthrough next and im planning my "kill, betray and abandon all your companions" way and become regent. Sten and Oghren are the only ones im uncertain about. I know i can just leave sten and ask ogren to leave, but id rather kill them myself if possible and id like to see them betraying me for the entertainment.
Need help from someone thats an expert on Sten and Oghren.

There is no way to get either Sten or Oghren to turn on you. You can tell them to leave, or not get Sten in the first place, but you cannot incite either of them to violence and kill them.

I believe Sten wil turn on you in Haven if you have a low Approval score. But Oghren will have to be informed to leave, unless you get careless with some AoE spells.... which is the Long and Short if it! *BAZINGA*

Giving Oghren a mug of drinking water telling him its ale would probably end in his axe severing my spine.
Ill just try to make them hate me then and ditch them if not.

I did read that hurting Oghren's chances with his personal quest barmaid may cause some friction, though I have not tried it.

Only way to get rid of Sten is to have never let him out of the cage. Yes he will turn on you and fight the Warden in Haven but it will not be to the death and when you win he will surrender to your leadership.
You cant get Rid of Ohgren, and why would you? hes a better warrior then Sten and hes funny as hell.
I belive you can ask him to leave though. Also FYI its Shale that betrays you if you side with Branka and you bring Shale.
You can only kill through your actions directly or indirectly.
Sten(Leaving him in cage), Wynn(At Circle Tower or Defiled Ashes), Leilana(Defile the Ashes), Alistair(Execute him at Landsmeet or sacrifice to slay Archdemon), Shale(Have her in the deep roads and side with Branka), Dog(Any Origen other then Human Noble can kill it in Ostagar), Zevran(When you first meet him or when he betrays you in Denerim), Loghaine(Execute him at Landsmeet or Sacrifice to Slay Archdemon)
If you have a problem with Ohgren your gonna hate Awakening. Ohgren and Morrigan you basicaly just gotta run off I think, never done it though. Plus if you run off Morrigan your screwed on the ending, someone has to die.

1. Sten will confront you at Haven no matter what. Approval rating has nothing to do with it. Approval does affect the dialogue options for the quest, and if his approval is high enough, he won't actually attack you, but he will express his dissatisfaction with you. You can use this to your advantage: actively lower his Approval, then let him attack you in Haven. When you win, you can have him leave. It's not as good as killing him, but it's the best you're going to get without a simple 'I want you to leave' course.
2. I've heard that even if you run Morrigan off, she'll randomly show up again just before the End-Game. Kind of like what happened with Alistair on my first play-through after giving Andraste's Ashes to Arl Eamon. I still remember it:
Arl Eamon: Alistair is King Maric's illegitimate son.
Alistair: Yeah, I meant to tell you.
Warden: HOLY FSCK! WHERE THE HELL DID YOU COME FROM! I LEFT YOU BACK AT CAMP!

I'm doing a max body-count playthrough and I was really hoping you could kill Sten at some point. Leaving him for the darkspawn doesn't really count as I want to commit the murders myself(I don't need their help). Guess I'll just take him with me.....

It does when you talk to him about getting the Key, then get it and leave thereby keeping him locked in the cage even if the villagers wanted him out to fight when Lothering Burns.
You want Ohgren in your party then unless your going solo. Ohgren gains approval on most "Evil decisions"
Like Ohgren, Morrigan, Dog/Loghaine is what youll probably have to do unless you killed Dog. Then have Loghaine kill himself at the archdemon.

If Oghren hates you enough he gets super mad and theres a dialogue to get him to fight you, if you win he tells you that he is done and theres an option to kill him but he just disappears so no cool scene for oghrens dead.
Tho don't know why ppl want to kill Oghren :x
