I don't recall a thread regarding the subject but I maybe mistaken.
In Origins I found that my human character was limited to what appeared to be of Caucasian ethnicity, very tanned, ruddy skin being the limit of pigmentation, what are the chances of other ethicities being available?
I recall one of the other areas of Thedas being populated by persons 'dark skinned'.
Anyone have any clues on this or a link to an appropriate thread?

I believe Rivain is populated by people with darker skin.

The Chasinds were black-skinned.

Rivain indeed, thanks for that.
Still would be nice to play as a different ethnicity for contrast, simply that you are a refugee from Lothering does not necessarily mean that your family have always lived there, however I recognise that having your pre-defined sister in game would compromise this idea, unless some kind of Fallout 3 mechanic is involved.

I thought the were more tanned than dark skinned

Weren't the Chasind descended from the Alamarri just like other Fereldans, just they split off and moved to the Wilds? So shouldn't Chasind be racially similar to Fereldans?
